Chapter 5 – Chance Collision
Ten Years Earlier:
"Bella, that you?"
I turned.
"Edward?"
That day we collided by the Seattle waterfront, we hugged how we'd hugged multiple times since I'd moved to Washington. When I arrived at Forks, Edward was a high school senior. His sister, Alice, and I, both sophomores, became inseparable. So, although Edward and I attended school together only one year before he left for UDub, we weren't strangers by that fateful weekend when I was twenty.
And, from the start, this exchange felt…different…warmer…less best-friend's-big-brother, and more…intimate.
"What are you doing here? Al didn't mention you-"
"Alice doesn't know," I laughed.
A/N: Thoughts?
