Oscar was falling from the Vault in Atlas, he thought to himself, Pretty convenient that Aura also protects our clothes. Holy Cabbages! James told me we aren't friends!
Ozpin dryly, He also shot you. That is the main point of concern. Now, if I may?
The old wizard did not wait for permission and used his magic to cushion the boy's fall.
Oscar mumbled, "So you're back."
Ozpin, I was alwa-
A wry chuckle, "Ah, remember me? Feels good to know I left an impression."
Ozpin snarled, Roman Torchwick is a wanted criminal.
Oscar internally, I think I am too? Oscar grinned to the fellow criminal, "Mr. Torchwick, how are you?"
The man self consciously patted his hatless head, "Trying to find my daughter and talk some sense into her."
Oscar twisted his fingers, "I punched her in the face, I think."
Smoothly, "I assume she was trying to rob you?"
Oscar flushed all over, "Um, sure."
The boy saw the gentleman's eye twitch before pulling the neck of his collar up, "Let's get out of the cold, kid. I assume we both have to get through some violent places and could use some help."
Ozpin, He will most certainly stab you in the back when it is convenient.
Oscar narrowed his eyes, "Just so you know, I will stab you in the back when it suits me."
Ozpin, You did not just say that.
Oscar, OMG, I swear I meant to ask him not to stab me.
If Ozpin could pinch the bridge of his nose, he would have.
Roman's lip twitched, and then he leaned his head back as he released a chuckle.
Oscar, He's so cool.
Ozpin, Could you please hero worship an actual hero? You have been literally surrounded by them for years.
Oscar bitter to his head ghost, I thought the General was extraordinary.
Ozpin sighed, Point taken. It is wise to follow a more experienced fugitive, given that we were shot by the head of the military.
The boy followed the older cane wielder to a small warehouse where people were lining up for gruel. The pair sipping the thin soup while using their canes to draw in the snow as a small plane approached. The door slid up, and Ruby was pointing her gun at Roman.
Ozpin, At least someone here has their head on straight.
Oscar, Obviously, I'm the crazy person because I hear voices.
Roman, "Oh, little Red! Look how you've grown up! Holding me at gunpoint to make sure I get in your ride. This old criminal might just shed a tear."
"Torchwick, step away from my boyfriend."
Roman looked at Red, then Oscar, then back at Red. "That is possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. Throw in some kittens I might coo."
Oscar gestured at Roman, "See Rubbles! We are totally a cat couple."
Ruby pulled the trigger and shot Roman, "Not this again! We do not have the time for pets."
Roman, on his back, sat up, "The General finally living out his totalitarian regime fantasy?"
Ruby tilted her head before she clenched her jaw at the fugitive, "You want to take down Ironwood with us?"
Roman standing brushing the snow off of him, gentle laughter rolled off of him, "Miss goodie-"
She cocked her weapon "Torchwick! I'm a wanted criminal right now. Do you want to work with me and take down the military? It's a simple YES OR NO question."
Torchwick's smart-alek mouth slacked.
Oscar offered, "We'll probably fight your daughter. So you can talk to her then."
Roman gripped his bright strands. After all, he needed to tell his Neo that it doesn't matter how much someone pays you if the world doesn't exist and you cannot spend it. "Yes, Red, I want to take down the military." He muttered. "My life just keeps getting weirder."
