People have been disappearing in Domino, investigator Atem Sennen moves there with his sister Mana, he is there to solve the mystery but maybe he should get read of the spirit haunting his house, fortunately his sister knows exactly who to ask for help, and the pretty witch boy may be exactly what Atem needs to solve the case.
Atem sat on the co-pilot's seat, reading the documents he had been given at the police station, all had information about the people who had been disappearing, their names, photos, all information that there was to know about them and about all the clues found so far, which were none.
"Atem, don't read in the car" said his sister, Mana, who was driving "It's not like they're going to suddenly have new info if you read them again" she snorted, Atem sighed.
"This is just. So frustrating!" he threw his hands in the air, the papers falling to the floor "There are NO CLUES" he massaged his temples "These people just. DISAPPEARED"
"Come on Atem, relax a bit," said Mana trying to sound comforting "At least wait till we get home before you burn out your brain" Atem sighed as he picked up the paper before putting them back in their folder.
"I guess," he frowned to the folder.
They continued the journey listening to music that Mana chose. They arrived to their new home at midday. Atem tiredly got the bags out of the car while Mana hopped to the entrance. But she stopped dead in her track one step in the house, he smile and energy disappearing.
"A, Atem" she whimpered. Her brother only hummed in response as he carried the bags to the house, stopping at the yard as Mana blocked the entrance "There's something wrong here"
Atem looked inside but there was nothing wrong; sure, the house was super chilly but everything seemed to be in order.
"What are you talking about?" he asked, trying to go inside, but Mana wouldn't let him. "Mana calm down" he said, finally getting past his sister and leaving the bags at the living room.
"No, Atem" she complained "There's something very wrong here, I can feel it" Atem sighed.
"Mana, come on" she shook her head, frowning.
"Atem, there's something bad here"
Atem was starting to get an idea of what was going on. Mana, unlike him, believed in the supernatural, she had always believed in that, although it had become a lot more serious in the recent years. Something must have gotten to her head; Atem sighed in defeat, he was not going to mock his little sister for something like this, especially when she truly seemed to be worried.
"Atem," she whimpered.
"Ok, if you want we can spend the night elsewhere" he said and Mana smiled "Although it will be the cheapest place I find"
"Don't worry about that" she squealed "A friend of mine lives close by" she said as she dragged her brother outside.
Atem barely managed to grab the bags and lock the door before Mana dumped him into the co pilot seat. She drove away as fast as she could without breaking the law.
They stopped in front of a shop, at the entrance was written ´Kame Shop´ the building wasn't very big and it seemed like the shop was just a small part of it. Mana parked and ran into the shop. Atem got off the car and went after Mana, she should at least lock it.
Just as he had assumed, the shop wasn't very big, and yet there were a lot of things inside. There were shelves filled with books, plants, decorations, antiques and games of all kind; he was honestly impressed. Mana chatted with an old man at the counter.
The man saw him, smiled and waved.
"Oh," said Mana turning to him "Sugoroku, this is my brother Atem."
"Nice to meet you Atem" said the old man "I'm Sugoroku Muto, the owner of this shop"
"It's a pleasure" responded Atem politely.
"So can we stay here tonight?" she asked.
Sugoroku chuckled "Of course Mana" he said "I'll have Katsuya prepare a room for you and one for your brother"
