Yugi gasped as he opened his eyes.

He could recognize that sky, but there was something about it. He couldn't pinpoint what about it was different from his.

Weakly, without getting up, he looked around. He was wet, the grass and dirt around him sticking to his skin; his legs were still floating in the water. He was still dizzy from whatever had happened to him, and the more he tried to remember the more his head hurt.

He heard people close to him, maybe; he wasn't sure. His mind was foggy and his senses were dulled.

Someone picked him up; and the steady movement of whatever, or whoever, was carrying him lulled him back to sleep.

Judai woke up to a pair of beautiful aqua eyes and hair.

His half-awake brain must have made him say something because the owner of that pretty face was laughing. And he must've commented on his pretty voice because he was laughing harder, a red tint on his cheeks.

"I can say the same about you tho," Judai really wanted to know what he had said to deserve that reply "Good to know you're alright. I'm Johan," he said as he helped Judai sit up "Nice to meet you Judai." He stood up "I'm going to go tell the others you're awake, so do you want me to bring you something? Water? Food?"

Judai, still a bit disoriented, asked "Others?"

Johan nodded "They're quite excited to see you, they were worried" That didn't answer anything, Judai stared at Johan still visibly confused, Johan chuckled "Don't worry about it," he winked -and Judai's heart stopped for a second- "So there's anything you want?" Judai's stomach grumbled in reply and Johan snorted "Food then, I won't take long."

Judai was left alone with his hunger, his questions and a feel of sweat on the palms of his hands.

The next time Yugi woke up his depleted state had not improved, but he didn't feel necessarily tired.

He was drugged back to sleep.

It wasn't until the fourth time he woke up that he was good enough to be conscious of his surroundings.

The room was mostly made of stone. He could see the light of several lamps and curtains at his sides, a desk, toolboxes, and cabinets. A chair and nightstand right next to his bed. An infirmary?

Tired and still not fully himself, he felt his eyes fill with tears when his stomach grumbled, begging for food. It didn't help the homesickness that crumpled his heart.
