Miritama royalty au

When Tamaki was six he met Togata Mirio, the son of the new royal Baker, and they became instantly best friends.

He was ten when he met Nejire Hadou, they became friends thanks to Mirio's sunny personality; Tamaki was really shy and found Hadou quite scary and overwhelming at first, but they became friends nonetheless.

When Tamaki was twelve he had his first kiss with Mirio, hidden behind some trees of the king's garden under the moonlight.

That same year his parents decided that he would marry Nejire Hadou once he came of age. He cried in Mirio's arms that noon and apologized over and over again.

That didn't stop them from having a relationship. After all, Nejire wouldn't mind, right?

When he was seventeen Mirio became his personal guard and was titled a knight, that date they spend their first night together.

His eighteenth birthday was celebrated with a wedding, his wedding.

It was a nightmare, it had been all arranged by his parents with no regard of his feeling or what he truly wanted. He had never even wanted to get married, unless it was Mirio, but that was because Mirio was especial.

It was obvious that he wasn't comfortable with what was going on, probably everyone noticed it and yet no one said a thing; he felt horrible, as if he was betraying Mirio, his heart ached all day and he had felt like throwing up when he said his vows, he had stuttered in a quiet voice and barely held back his tears all day.

That night he and Nejire shared the bed; nothing happened; they slept back to back, well she slept, Tamaki stood awake and once he was sure she was asleep he went to Mirio's quarters and cried, hugging each other.

Nejire, sweet, wonderful Nejire, moved to her own room, next to his, when dawn came; when the kings asked for her reason she told them that it was a big step they had taken and it felt overwhelming even for her, so they had decided to take things slowly, an excuse that was fortunately believed.

Mirio and Tamaki silently thanked her.

"What?!" Tamaki croaked. Had he heard correctly? He never imagined his parents asking that from him!

"Don't worry Tamaki, we'll put in his place the most promising and talented boy of this new knights generation" said his mother.

"But, but why would you take Mirio away in the first place?" he asked almost shaking, why would his parents want to take Mirio away from him? Unless maybe, they knew about them, he shook his head, they had been really careful, there was no way anyone could have found out.

"He's our best Knight, and there is something only he can do" said his father.

"What?" he asked looking them to the eyes "What is it?"

"You know of Yuei's and Endeavor's problematic relationship" the prince nodded "King Toshinori fears another war is about to start, so he asked me the favor to hide his step son, prince Izuku, here with us"

"But it's a secret" added his mother, with a finger to her lips.

"So Mirio is going to escort him all the way to the castle" Tamaki murmured to himself, looking down again "But, one it's all over, will Mirio return to be mine?" he asked.

"Yes dear" said his mother.

"Or maybe you'll warm up to the new kid and decide to keep him" added his father, poking his head with his index finger.

"I highly doubt that" he said quietly.

"Your Highness" saluted Mirio, knelt down in front of the throne.

"No need for formalities young Togata, please stand up" said the king.

Toshinori Yagi, king of Yuei, also known as All might. The man who made Yuei one of the richest countries in their biggest time of crisis when the king died and left no heir to inherit the throne, people crowned him, even when he refused the first two times.

Around four years ago he got married to a commoner who worked in a bakery in town, and she, along with her son moved into the castle.

Queen Inko sat next to him, she had a friendly, pure aura to her. Her round face and chubby figure just made her look even more approachable and trustful.

The king looked like he wasn't on his best days, way too slender and hollow-cheeked.

"Thanks for coming young Togata, did your king explained why you're here?" asked the queen with a sweet motherly tone.

"He told me that I am to escort prince Izuku to our kingdom" he said.

"Indeed, young Togata"

"But, if I may ask" the king nodded "Why won't the queen come with us?"

"I tried to convince her, but like her son she's stubborn as only she can be"

"I insisted on staying" she explained "The fact the we fear a war is about to start is secret only a few know, if anyone asks, Izuku is going to learn about your country, to train body and mind, if I went too people would start to wonder and fear something bad could be happening, so for the sake of the kingdom not freaking out I'm going to stay here with my husband to rule together and try keep peace" she said determined.

Mirio nodded in understanding.

"We have a room prepared for you young Togata, you can leave tomorrow morning if you wish, if you're tired feel free to ask for more days"

"It won't be needed your Highness, tomorrow morning sounds perfect" he vowed, a servant entered and guided him to his room.

He woke up before the sun, he dressed and stayed on his bed until a servant went to fetch him.

He didn't saw the prince until he was ready with his horse; the young prince hugged his mother and the king, got on his horse and catch up to him.

"I'm ready when you are your Highness" saluted the Knight.

The prince didn't look up.

"I'm ready" he said he was visibly troubled by the fact that he had to leave "But please, call me Izuku"

"As you wish, Izuku" he smiled, the prince finally looked up and smiled sheepishly.

"Wait!" called the queen "There someone else going with you"

"Who?" asked the prince.

"Me!" said a feminine voice.

A girl fell of the sky and landed on her feet perfectly.

"I'm Uraraka Ochako" she presented herself with a wide smile "I'm a magician, and I'll be accompanying you" she vowed.

The prince flushed, Mirio just smiled brightly.

"That'll be wonderful, thanks Ochako" said Mirio and she winked playfully "But, won't you need a horse?"

"There's no need"she waved her hand dismissing the question "I'm as light as a feather I won't get tired of walking"

"Okay, but if it were to happen that you start feeling at least a little bit tired you'll tell us and we'll stop, understood?" she nodded "Now, off we go"

Izuku waved his parents goodbye and they galloped into the woods.

Tamaki opened the door and found himself blinded by a smile.

"Good morning your Highness" said the boy a little bit too excited "I'm Kirishima Eijirou and I'll be your new Knight"

Tamaki whined and closed the door, walked back to his bed and buried himself under the blankets.

"Your Highness?" called Kirishima, hesitantly, he opened the door and entered the room "Is there a problem with?" the prince interrupted him.

"You're too bright" he said from under the blankets.

"Your Highness?" a smile creeped on his face.

"If I stare at you too much I'll end blind"

Kirishima chuckled awkwardly, not sure how to take the prince's comment. The young Knight took the blanked off the prince and found him cuddling a body pillow, trying to hide his face under it.

"Your Highness, your parent are waiting for you for breakfast"

"Tell them to have breakfast without me" he mumbled onto the pillow.

"Your Highness, I have orders to bring you to the dinning hall by any means necessary" Tamaki cracked open an eye and found that Kirishima was dead serious "King's orders" he explained.

Tamaki groaned.
