Harry awoke in his alcove, adjacent to his master suite room, in New York City. He was ten years old, soon to become eleven, and lived in a skyscraper merged with the architecture of a cathedral in downtown Manhattan.

He owned the entire skyscraper, dubbed a Lair, as it merged the look of a glass skyscraper with that of an old gothic cathedral.

Harry owned the skyscraper because he was dubbed the Tyrant of USA.

Harry had been the Tyrant of USA as long as he remembered. People would routinely come up to him to answer questions, such as what nation should USA interfere with, how much should the government budget be, and to ceremonially pass his authority to the president after each election.

Harry knew his place. He was below the presidents, but still exerted great influence over USA. He was the compass of the government.

And early on, Harry discovered a path for himself. He would lead the government to failure. Just as there was planned obsolescence in industry, Harry was on the path of planned failure of the government.

Whenever they asked if he approved of a President's request to invade a nation, Harry checked to make sure that the invasion was unnecessary. That it could escalate into a greater war, and weaken USA government.

The same for budgets. Harry would check to make sure that the budget was wasted, and that the government was on the path to ruin to a greater debt.

He did this, only approving or pushing policies in front of the President that would lead to the planned failure of America. This was because Harry believed that it was the responsibility of the citizens to save their government, while he planned its obsolescence.

Harry was better off alone. Not only could Harry take care of himself, but that while taking care of himself he could feed off the USA. Harry would have hurt the USA more if he was outside of it than if he was inside of it. They needed him more than he needed them, Harry sensed.

Once, Texas had pushed to become an independent nation in itself. Harry had approved of their request, seeing the secession of Texas as weakening USA governments. But this was to no avail, as the citizenry found a solution to the crisis and saved the union.

Harry made sure of one thing, and that was that he had a firm grasp of power, and that no one would push him off his role as Tyrant. He knew that if the citizenry kick him out, they would be closer to achieving a safer and stronger government. So keeping with his one policy of planned failure of USA government, Harry kept his grip on the nation as tightly as he could.

Harry didn't live alone either. He lived with his Aunt and Uncle, as well as their son, his cousin Dudley. They were always envious of Harry, and so Harry avoided them as much as possible.

A government official wandered into his master suite, knocking on the empty door. "Lord Tyrant, we have the morning affairs to get into."

Harry sleepily walked outside of his gothic alcove, and met the official. "I guess we can start."

"Excellent your mightiness, the biggest agenda is the race riots that are consuming our nation. We have three options: remain neutral and ignore, side with the rioters, or side with those that are targeted by the riot."

Harry had to think hard on this one. He wanted to increase racial tensions, to weaken the government. So that ruled out being neutral. If he sided with the whites, they are the majority, and that would weaken the government less. But if he sided with the minority blacks, then that would not only weaken the government, but because they are the minority their reciprocation would be less.

"Side with the rioters" Harry said "let them know that the Tyrant Potter sides with their cause." It was up to the citizenry to find a solution to this planned crisis.

"We also have a massive new spending bill, to tackle climate change and improve the living conditions of Americans."

"How big is the budget of this bill?"

"In the trillions, 4 trillion I believe."

Harry liked that the budget was big, that should cause a debt strain. "What is in the budget?"

"Things such as infrastructure, new technology, and items that better the lives of Americans such as cheaper education."

Harry did not like that, he did not like that at all. That sounded like something that would strengthen USA, and the government. No, that wouldn't do at all.

"I can't support that bill as it is. It needs to be gutted." Harry couldn't say more, lest they find out his true intentions, and thus get one step closer to getting rid of him and strengthening their government.

"As you wish. Your family is in the kitchen on the hundredth and twelfth floor."

"Thank you" said Harry. Harry never knew the names of the government officials. Oh, they introduced themselves, but Harry never bothered to learn their names.

Harry then walked around to the elevator shafts, and got on to travel up to the hundred and twelfth floor.

Once on the floor, Harry walked over to a side alcove, and a secret path in it, that led to a room just outside of the kitchen. Out of the windows stood the concrete cliffs that were Manhattan. The morning sun shining off the skyscrapers glass.

"Oh, its you" said Aunt Petunia. Uncle Vernon just growled and put his paper down. On the television was the announcement that Harry had sided with the black rioters.

"I see you sided with them" sneered Uncle Vernon. "Driving this place to the ground, you are."

Harry just ignored him, hoping to hide that is exactly how he governs.

Harry found that, no matter what he did, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon would find something to criticize about it, and rightly so.

"Some mail for you" said Dudley.

Harry looked around at the table. Mail for him was uncommon, as it was usually stopped by his staff. Listening and responding to the public, from a government official as high as he was, would only strengthen the government, so he never did that.

Ripping it open, Harry read a green ink letter that invited him to a magic school, Hogwarts, of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Is this some kind of joke" said Harry, who threw it away. Sure, unusual things happened around him sometimes, but not witchcraft.

The next day and the days following, the mail kept on arriving, more and more invitations to Hogwarts. But Harry would just burn the letters.

No matter how many times Harry burned the letters, more would come. In between his burning sprees, he read one of the letters in full, and discovered that a bunch of nut jobs called Dumbledore and McGonagall were behind it.

Harry tasked the CIA and the FBI to look into them. The fact that this task was a a waste of time for those organizations only made it sweeter.

The report given to him was that there were many matches for that name, but none fit the profile of a school. They concluded it was probably a mentally disturbed person writing these letters, and training owls to dump them on him. They most likely resided in New York City.

Harry saw an opportunity. Just like when he was a toddler, and some terrorist messed up with his watching of the Boston Marathon, and he tasked the President to shut down Boston to look for them, which wasted an entire day's worth of GDP and tax money for the entire city, and cost government cops and soldiers overtime and combat pay; Harry decided to task the shut down of New York City to find who was responsible for it.

It was several hours after asking to do so, when a government representative arrived. "Lord Tyrant, we have just spoken to the President's Office. They have refused. They don't think that it is worth it."

"That previous president wouldn't have refused. No wonder I acquiesced for him to encourage that mob at the capitol."

Harry was surprised about that president. The moment the president asked Harry if he could over turn the election, disenfranchising half the country and wrecking a key aspect of government, Harry knew he had found someone great. But alas, the citizenry found a way around that crisis as well.

Harry wrecked government because he sensed that if he was on his own he would be better off, that he would feed of the USA, and be worse for the USA outside of it than if he was in the position he is in. Harry guessed that that was the motivation behind that President and his supporters.

"He has agreed to increase random stops of civilians to check their identity. Perhaps we will randomly find the perpetrator with an owl somewhere nearby."

Harry acknowledged him, and allowed the official to leave.

Harry was stuck; someone was getting past all alerts and getting letters to him.

He then travelled to the hundred and twelfth floor, where a large fire place was burning, and Aunt Petunia, with a smug little smirk on her face, handed Harry another bushel of Hogwarts letters.

Harry burned them, and then went through a typical day of watching the news and feeding China money. "A strong adversary means a weak government, is what I say" Harry would mumble to himself while writing a request to increase free trade with China.

Soon the day passed, and it was evening; New York City shining like hollowed out cliffs surrounded by a merciless sea.

Deep in the negative eleventh floor in the basement, below the central atrium of the gothic skyscraper, where people could enter a twenty four story high cathedral like interior, Harry sat in front of a small fire place. These catacombs contained all the paperwork of his requests and agreements to the government.

Harry heard a creaking noise, and initially thought nothing of it, before it became louder, with the loud steps slowly approaching. Harry hid in an alcove of the catacombs, as a giant man walked by holding a birthday cake in his hands.

Tomorrow, well tonight at 12 am, was to be Harry's birthday. Some nut had broken in to wish him happy birthday.

Harry never interacted with the general public. That would inspire the people to look up to the government.

"'Arry, where arr you? Imma here ter give you yer Hogwarts letter."

It all made sense now.

The giant than took out a pink stick, an umbrella, and then said some latin, and then his name, Harry. The stick then pointed directly where Harry was hiding.

Harry was dumbstruck as the giant than wandered over to the alcove that Harry had hidden in.

Harry popped out of the alcove. "Hey, what can I help you with?"

"'Arry! Imma here ter get you yer letter. Fer Hogwarts. Yer parents would be so proud."

Harry looked warily at him, and accepted the letter. "Thanks, the other ones were, ah,..., incomplete. I just have so many questions."

"Really 'Arry? Like what?"

"well, what is the address of where you liv... of this school?"

"Itsa in Scotland. There are speels on it ter hide it from muggles."

"Muggles?"

"Yah, non-wizard folks."

"Wizards?"

"Yah, yer a wizard 'Arry".

"How am I a wizard."

"Well fer one, yer a Tyrant. You think any muggle would be one. Yer something special."

Harry always thought it was some perversion of the divine rights of kings, but Americanized. But then, who were his parents. No one would tell. Just that somehow, an orphan became Tyrant of America. People just seemed to accept it.

"What about my parents? You knew them!"

"Yah, they went ter Hogwarts as well. Lily was best in Charms, and James was best in Transfiguration."

Harry recognized those words. Those were in that Hogwarts letter.

"How will I go to this Hogwarts."

"Not rite now, fer now you just wait. Then I will pek you up and take you ter a travel point and then from Grand Central Station to Kings Cross, and then ter platform three and a half quarters, then off ter Hogwarts. But before that, we would need ter travel to London ter get some supplies."

"When will I be going to London?"

"How does next week sound."

As long as the kidnapping doesn't happen tonight, Harry was fine with it.

"OK."

"Great. Anyway, here is the letter, and here is a birthday cake. 'Appy birthyday, ter you, 'Appy birthyday ter..." and the giant went on and sang the whole song to him.

Harry refused the cake knowing it to be poison, "no thanks, I can't have sweets after brushing. By the way, are you Dumbledore, or McGonagall?"

"No, imma not Dumbledore. Great man he is."

Probably a crack addict on his street.

"Imma Hagrid."

During this whole time, since finding Harry, Hagrid had been blatantly looking at Harry's forehead.

"Why are you always looking at my forehead."

"Oh" he blushed "itsa just that that is where He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named left his mark on you. You see, he killed yer parents, and then went ter kill you, but he couldn't. It never happened before. He got defeated by you, as a baby. That's why yer the Tyrant. The Americans made a deal with the Ministry."

Hagrid then stared one more time at Harry, then said "meet me at Grand Central Station next week at noon. I will take you ter London from there."

"Sure" Harry agreed, eager to get away.

"Well, imma get going. You look just like yer father 'Arry, except yer eyes. Yer eyes are just like Lily's."

Hagrid then left, leaving Harry in the dark catacombs of the Lair deep underground Manhattan.

The next week, Harry got ready to go see if this Hagrid would show up at Grand Central station at noon. Harry wasn't doing this because he believed he was a wizard, but to go outside and gauge the public's perception of him.

He didn't want to go the way of the French Kings and get a surprise revolution to kill him.

This is because, in the last couple of years, there has been a virus, Covid, running around, and Harry had been the biggest proponent for government lock downs. He has been signing requests to the presidents for shutting down entire cities, cutting GDP sharply and reducing tax revenue. If the government did this perpetually, they would have a perpetual recession and perpetual debts. So Harry was a target of vitriol from those that hated the lockdowns.

On the other hand, he was also a vocal opponent to vaccines and mask mandates, as that broadened the government's powers, which strengthened the government. He was known by some media outlets as 'killer Harry' for the extra deaths his advocacy caused. Less citizens meant a weaker government.

Harry was foiled by the citizenry again, who elected a president who was for vaccine and mask mandates across the country. But at least the money to pay for the masks and the vaccines came from increasing the nations debt, and not new taxes, which Harry liked.

He was opposed to vaccine and masks mandates for another reason as well; it showed a government as a single payer, giving healthcare for free, or at least at a cheaper cost, then privatized healthcare. Harry didn't want a strong government making decisions for the citizenry. That was for China or Russia. Harry wanted a government on the road to ruin, where it is the decisions of the citizenry that save it.

So Harry wanted to gauge the public's attitude towards him and his plans of weakening the government.

Harry also knew that a lot of government officials wanted a strong government that made decisions for the citizenry. That was the whole point of him, to be against that. He also feared becoming jailed or assassinated from those government officials that wanted such a strong government. He might even be safer on the streets then in a government building.

Harry walked up to the Secret Service that guarded him "I might be meeting with a member of the public this noon, could you escort me there, it's at Grand Central Station."

The guards agreed, and later that morning they drove him in his black limousine to the station. Once parked, Harry walked over to the station. Random passer byes started to boo him, some even threw garbage in his general direction.

"Hey, keep your social distance" Harry commanded.

Harry, surrounded by the president's Secret Service, arrived inside the station. Once inside, Harry immediately noticed Hagrid. Harry then approached Hagrid.

"There yer arre. Itsa good ter see you again. Rite, anyway, follow me."

Harry followed Hagrid to a sewer opening right inside the station. Opening the sewer, Hagrid then said "follow me", and then proceeded to jump into the sewer. Harry didn't hear any splash.

Peering down, Harry saw nothing but the disgusting water of the sewer. Looking around, the crowd started to get rowdy, with some throwing harder trash such as pop bottles, in his direction.

Seeing what there was to lose, Harry jumped into the sewer after Hagrid.

Instead of landing in a disgusting splash, he instead landed on a gravel field.

Looking around, he saw Hagrid approach him. "Welcome to Wright's Airfield. Itsa where American wizards fly off ter different cities."

Harry looked around. There were rows upon rows of small bi-planes, all looking around one hundred years old.

Hagrid then walked off towards a bi-plane on the airfield. Entering the two passenger seats, the pilot, a wizard, welcomed them "welcome to Hart Airways, we'll get you to London in no time."

Soon the plane landed in London, where they took transit. Harry was stared at the entire time. They got to a place called the Leaky Cauldron. At the back of the Leaky Cauldron Hagrid opened the brick wall in the back alley to Diagon Alley.

Harry was amazed at all the magical novelties, and proceeded to follow Hagrid to a bank, where they took out some money for Harry in his trust vault, and some item for Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Soon afterwards, they travelled to Ollivander's wand shop. A tall, thin, old man greeted them. "Looking for your fir...ah" spying the scar on his forehead "welcome, Mr. Potter.

Reaching for a box, he took one down "maple with amber, ten inches, good for charms, here try it" Harry grasped it, and then waved it. Nothing happened.

Ollivander then copied this, going from wand to wand, until one wand caused dark black plumes to shoot out. "That's your wand. Curious."

"Why is it curious" asked Harry.

"Well, you see, that wand has a merlockt core. What is interesting about a merlockt is that it is born a parasite of all around it. It feeds off groups of people. It is safer to invite a merlockt into your home, than to have it feed off of you from the outside. It is very independent and excellent at taking care of itself. It is always bad news for anyone around it. Just not so bad if invited in.

But if invited in, it may one day leave."

"To never return" said Harry.

"Oh, I don't know about that, Mr. Potter."

Harry then turned around with his holly and morlockt wand, paid for the wand, then walked out.

Harry and Hagrid then proceeded down Diagon Alley until they stopped in front of a tailor shop.

"Imma going to get a drink, and be back inna minute. You get yer clothes fitted for Hogwarts."

Hagrid then turned around and left, leaving Harry to walk into the store.

Once inside, he noticed a woman measuring a little platinum blonde boy.

Walking up to them, the lady stops and says "I'll be with you in a minute" without looking up.

Harry was dirty from the cart ride in Gringotts, and did not look like he usually does.

So when the blonde boy looked over at Harry, it was no surprise that he didn't recognize him.

"Off to Hogwarts, are you. Your parents were wizards, right?"

Harry looked around, thinking. "I guess."

"You guess" he said in a mocking voice.

"Yeah, they went to Hogwarts. My dad was great at transfiguration, and my mom good ad charms."

"Oh okay, you're not one of those."

Harry looked blankly at the boy.

"Those muggle kids. Filthy, although I am sure you would be a good company, looking at your attire."

"I just came from Gringotts. My vault was very deep inside."

The boy seemed to consider that.

"Yeah, that is always a bother for those like us."

This boy reminded Harry of a government official that he had met near the start of the Covid pandemic. Harry had tasked him to find out if more tax money was being saved by saving the people's lives versus shutting down the economy by the government. It was a sad decision for Harry, but if Harry found out that letting the people to die without any government intervention meant a weaker tax base, and thus a weaker government, then he would have done it.

But that government official looked all to happy to put a tax price tag on people's lives.

He never got that report.

"I'm Draco, by the way, Draco Malfoy."

Harry was ready to introduce himself when Hagrid burst in, carrying a white owl. "'Arry, we can get yer clothers fitted another time. Best to be off."

Hagrid then dragged Harry out of the store. Once a distance from it, Hagrid explained the rush "best ter get you away from the likes of the Malfoys, bad folk they be. Anyway, I get youa present instead of drinking. Itsa owl."

"An owl. A snowy owl?"

Harry peered at the owl in the bird cage. Harry quite liked the gift. "I'll call it Hedwig."

They then proceeded to get books at the bookstore, and potion supplies at the apothecary.

Once done, they went back to the Leaky Cauldron, went on transit to the airport, and then flew to Grand Central Station on Hart Airways. Luckily for Harry, no one recognized him as he made his way back to his skyscraper, the Lair. And once there, he revealed himself under the coal dust.

Harry then put most of his belongings in the negative eleventh floor, and then went up to the hundred and twelfth floor to put Hedwig on her perch, overlooking the living cliffs that was Manhattan.

"Oh, you're back." Said Uncle Vernon.

Harry had only been gone for several hours.

"In September" Harry went on "I will not be here at all. I am going to an elite private scho.."

"We know you're a wizard" said Aunt Petunia "you're going to that hellhole, Hogwet, or something. Just like your mother."

Harry was surprised.

"You knew? Why didn't you tell me?"

"You never asked" she said, with condescension.

"Yeah, well, while I'm gone you're all nothing but freeloaders taking as much from the government as you can."

"Harumph" said Uncle Vernon "I left a good career at Grunnings to become a respectable member of American society. We will do no such thing. We will pass on your mail to the authorities. And, of course, go to public functions for the betterment of the government. We are no leeches" here he looked at Harry with a sneer "we are hard working folk."

Harry had long given up on them. They were through and through for a strong government.

"Fine, anyway I'm going to go watch the news some more. Have you gotten any mail from Russia? The last president let me push tons of pro-Russia foreign policies. Maybe this one will change its mind."

"Humph, you really should be locked up."

Harry said nothing, assuming that no mail had arrived from the Russians, and went back to drafting another generous free trade agreement with China.

It was a month later, on September first, when Harry took his supplies, and travelled out with the secret service to see how the public's perception of him has improved.

It hadn't.

Protestors surrounded the Lair, and they needed two water cannons and pepper spray to clear a path for his limousine out of the drive way.

At Grand Central Station, Harry rushed to the sewer and jumped in, landing at Wright Airfield.

Harry dirtied himself up with coal, and then took the flight to London. Disguised, he took transit to Kings Cross, where he arrived at the platform, but couldn't see any fractions.

Soon, a family of red heads, talking about muggles, went onto the platform and started to rush into a pillar, disappearing through it.

Harry soon copied them, and landed on the Hogwarts express platform.

Looking around, Harry started to load his stuff onto the train. Soon, some red headed boys helped him, talking by finishing each other's sentences. "Have no...""problem firstie...""we'll help you out".

Harry was thanking them, when the wind blew up his hair, revealing his scar.

They turned around shocked and excited.

Harry ignored them, and piled into the train, finding an empty compartment. In his compartment, Harry cleaned himself off.

Soon, a red headed boy arrived into the compartment. "Can I sit here, all the other compartments are filled."

"Sure" said Harry.

"I'm Ron by the way, Ron Weasley."

"I'm Harry Potter. I'm new to this."

Ron stood agape at him "you're the Boy-Who-Lived-To-Be-Hated. I see you on the news all the time."

"Oh gee, anything good?"

"Oh, you're well liked here. But in the states, whoa."

Harry turned to look out of the window, hoping that the rest of his stay at Hogwarts isn't as humiliating as his previous outings with the public.

A bushy haired girl entered the compartment. "Have any of you seen a toad. Neville has lost a toad."

Harry looked around. "Nope, sorry."

"Hey, I recognize you. You're that USA Tyrant. Harry Potter. What are you doing on this train."

Harry blushed. "I'm a wizard as well, apparently."

"Really, you're not the same as THE Harry Potter that defeated You-Know-Who?"

"One and the same, I guess."

"Oh wow, I read about you all over the Defense Against the Dark Arts books and History of Magic."

Harry didn't know what to say about that.

Just then, the blonde haired boy from the tailor shop arrived into the compartment. "I heard that Harry Potter is on this train. Oh, its you."

Harry blushed. "Yep, the one and only."

"What are you doing with this bushy haired freak?"

"What did you call me" she yelled out.

"You heard me, peasant."

"I've heard about pureblood supremist. Are you one of those?"

"There is no such thing as a supremist, just the natural order of things."

"You were all supporters of You-Know-Who. Your father was an evil Death Eater."

The trolley lady then arrived with sweets.

Harry took out some money and bought some, while Draco bought some as well.

Harry shared with Draco, Hermione and Ron, while Draco only shared with Harry.

Soon, the train stopped at Hogsmeade, which was the village outside of Hogwarts.

Harry got off the train and spotted Hagrid.

"First yers, first yers, over here" Hagrid yelled.

Harry followed them, and the first years left the station to a harbor by a lake. There were small boats. "Four ter a boat" shouted Hagrid.

Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco entered one boat. The boats soon self-propelled themselves into the lake, sailing smoothly. They docked on the other side of the lake.

They were greeted by a lady in a tight bun. "I'll take them from here, Hagrid."

"Alright, Perfesser McGonagall."

Professor McGonagall led the first years up to the castle, into the grand entrance, and into a side alcove by two great doors.

"Stay well behaved, I will be right back."

Draco took the opportunity to introduce Harry to his friends.

"Pansy, Theodore, Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle this is Harry Potter. We are well acquainted."

While Harry was greeting them, Hermione showed up to join them.

"Hey nice to meet you all as well" she said, interrupting their greetings.

Draco sneered "her I don't know. She has muggle parents."

Hermione huffed, and was getting ready to argue, when ghosts moved through the walls and interrupted everyone.

"Oho, first years about to get sorted. Do anyone of you know which houses you will be going to" asked a jolly fat ghost.

Harry was shocked, but Draco and Ron seemed to take it in stride.

"Gryffindor" shouted Ron, while Draco shouted "Slytherin". They then both looked at each other.

"A Weasley in Gryffindor. I am beginning to think that you Weasleys are just to poor to afford to go to another house. Slytherins have standards."

"At least Gryffindor doesn't produce as many dark wizards as Slytherin. Your house is filled with dark lords and their followers. You-Know-Who was a Slytherin."

This piqued Harry's interest. "He was? What did he believe in."

"The typical" said Ron "all about pureblood lineage and taking over the ministry."

"He wanted to take over the ministry?"

"Yeah, to install a strong government for purebloods. Muggleborns would be persecuted like nothing under his reign."

An usurper. Harry was always paranoid about that as well. If the muggles caught on to his scam, they would surely replace him with a strong leader.

Professor McGonagall then entered the alcove "alright, line up. Time to get sorted."

Harry and the rest of the first years lined up to be sorted. Then the great oak doors opened.
