-The -

His body froze.

But it still moved, not after screaming though, not after screaming as his whole world crumbled collapsed.

He ran to the body hanging from the bed and untied it; it fell on the floor with a loud thud. He scrambled to it, shacking; he repeated the named over and over again under his breath; he untied the knot on his throat and checked his vital signs.

There were none.

He wouldn't stay like that for long.

His brain felt too full, and it hurt. He opened his eyes; what had happened? He couldn't remember anything.

But it wasn't long before all the memories of lives long gone came crashing into his mind.

As his vision recovered he became conscious of his surroundings. Someone was hugging him, and that someone was crying. He barely managed to raise his arm, and let it fall on the shoulder to which his face was pressed.

They stood for a moment in front of the magic shop. Timaeus was the one who opened door, making way for Atem to enter first.

It was barely illuminated, some candles here and there. At the back of the room was a small round table with a crystal ball on it.

Both shrieked when someone reached them from behind.

"Welcome to the Warlock's magic shop" said the man, he had white hair and a scar down his right cheek "How can we help you?"

"We?" asked Timaeus.

"My brother, my boyfriend and me. Although my brother and I are the ones with magical abilities"

"We need your help to find someone" said Atem, almost sounding desperate.

"Someone?" asked a boy, his voice was soft and he had long white hair "Wouldn't it be best to call the police then?"

-The corrupted-

"He's not dead yet" he said in a whisper.

They felt their bodies shiver.

"He's not dead yet" he said once again, his voice going up an octave, desperate "He's not dead yet. He's not dead yet" his voice became higher and higher pitched.

And he screamed.

And it was a scream that would have made any banshee ashamed of herself.

They covered their ears, they could almost feel the blood coming out of them. He fell on his knees, hunched over himself, digging his nails in the back of his head. And screamed once again, but this scream soon turned into sobs; his body shook with each sob and each tear he shed.

They hesitated. Atem was the first to get close.

"Yugi?" he said, it was almost a whisper, both of them were afraid.

He finally looked at them.

His lilac eyes were wide open, full of surprise, horror, desperation; he had dark bags under them. His hair was messy and his skin had lost it's pretty pink color.

"Atem?" he said, tears not stopping "Atem" he stood up, almost fell and used that small movement to start running. Throwing himself into Atem's embrace "Atem. He just wouldn't let me die" he sobbed, both falling on their knees, crying "He wouldn't let me die" Atem hugged him hard, those words destroying his soul.

And Timaeus watched, heartbroken by those words. For Yugi to want to die so badly.
