Chapter three

July 25th

"Fuck."

Finn glanced to Kurt in the car as they drove to Dalton. He had already been measured for his uniform which was hard enough for him already. He could see the panic sweep over his face so he quickly pulled the car over to the side of the road, just before they got to that dreaded sign.

"I'm okay Fi-

"Let it out now because as soon as we get past that sign they'll be able to hear us. Let it out bro."

"I can't let it out because blondie will know I've been crying, I can't cry I'm strong now." Kurt whispered as he stared at that the sign to indicate Dalton Academy was a not far away.

Finn grinned at his brother and leaned over to place his hand on his knee. "How about you drive past the sign."

Kurt let out a laugh and turned his head towards his brother who was watching him carefully. "Swap with me."

A mischievous grin spread across Finn's face and he's quickly jumped out the car while Kurt moved his body over from inside the car to the drivers seat. He gripped onto the steering wheel with both hands with his eyes closed as he listened to his brother get into the car and put his seatbelt on.

"Are you ready?"

No." Kurt said with a watery laugh as he started the car up. "Hold onto your seatbelt."

Finn laughed hysterically and lifted his hand to his belt. "I don't trust you, I've seen you drive Hummel and it's a scary experience to go through."

"Oh please brother, I'm an excellent driver."

"Don't make me fucking laug-

Kurt pressed his foot roughly on the accelerator, shooting them forward without any chance for Finn to brace himself and he shouted in panic at how fast he was driving.

"Oh my god slow the fuck do-

Kurt started to laugh like a maniac at his brothers panic filled voice but he didn't stop, he just went faster down the highway ignoring him completely as the rush of adrenaline tingled through his body. Finn glanced to Kurt and he started to laugh too as he gripped onto his seat belt for dear life.

"Three!"

Finn laughed harder at his brothers changed of attitude and in that moment he knew he would be okay. He didn't need to pretend he was strong because he was the stronger person he knew.

"Two!"

"Oh my god we are gonna crash!"

"Not today brother!"

Finn eyes went wide as they hit over one hundred miles per hour and he laughed harder throwing his head back and just before they got to the sign he heard his brother whisper.

"One."

Kurt drove right through, laughing with his brother as he started to slow the car down considerably so his brother didn't die of fright. He turned his head and gave him a small nod to let him he was going to be just Finn and for that small second he believed him and now the plan was in action.

"You wanna turn back?"

"Nope." Kurt said with a casual laugh as he turned left to make their way to Dalton Academy.

The all looked at eachother as soon as they heard his voice. They knew he was just past the sign which meant he wasn't that far away and the way they heard Kurt driving they guessed a few minutes away.

"He's early." Blaine commented as he looked at the clock that read it was only twenty minutes past one in the afternoon.

"Yeah." Nick sighed as he lifted his body to sit on his best friends knee and he smiled. "It's going to be okay. Do you understand? I've got you."

"Don't let me spiral Nicky."

"Never." Nick whispered as he closed the gap and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

"Man?"

"Don't make me comment. I'm already trying to contain my anger." Wes said emotionless as he turned the page on his book.

"Should I be worried about you instead of Nick?"

"Don't worry, I'm not in the mood to be ripping limbs off his body today but maybe tomorrow after I've had a good night sleep."

David rolled his eyes before glancing back to the window. He had mixed feelings about him coming back. He didn't have the heart to ignore him but in the same breathe he felt disgusted at himself for feeling that way. He felt loyal to the both of them but in that moment Blaine needed him and he was more than willing to throw his relationship with Kurt out the window for a year to help his brother heal.

"David?"

He could hear Kurt getting closer and the adrenaline started to rush through his veins. He hoped Nicky wouldn't hurt him, he hoped no one would.

"David?"

He started to feel sick. The anticipation was killing him and the nerves was kicking in. He couldn't imagine how Kurt had felt this past year, if he felt anything anyway.

"David?"

He blew air out of his mouth when he heard Kurt laugh hysterically and his firsts clenched at his mixed feelings. He didn't even realise someone had wrapped their arms around him from behind, that unfamiliar feeling was strange but it soothed his whole body and he smiled.

"David?" Wes whispered into his ear and he finally turned his head around. "Please tell me you're okay."

"Why? Are you worrying about me Montgomery?" David replied back with a smirk as he looked over his face to see how he was feeling too.

"Don't be a dick. I won't comfort you ag-

Wes removed his arms but David pulled them right back as he turned to the window again just to caught a glimpse of Kurt before he came into Dalton.

"Are you okay Davey? Do you need a hug?"

David smiled at the blonde before opening his arms for him. He always loved his hugs, they made you feel so much more better exactly like Kurt's did. Wes didn't remove his arms which shocked them but instead he lifted his hand to stroke the blondes hair.

"Is it bad to say I'm excited too?"

They all turned to Wes who kept his gaze out the window and they couldn't help but laugh. They knew it was going to be round two all over again and they could practically see that glint in his eyes.

"It's been to long since I've tortured him. I'm going to go hard this year." Wes added with a smirk as he started to walk over to Blaine and Nick.

"I bet you that you've already got at least ten things to say to him before he even enters the doors."

"Nick, the First thing that is coming out my mouth is calling him Kurtis."

Everyone burst into laughter as they watched him lean over for his coffee that was placed on table in front of Blaine.

"You good Anderson?"

"No, I wanna punch his face in and kiss him at the same time."

"How's that feel?"

"Conflicting Wes." Blaine said with a laugh as he joined hands with his best friend. "I'm so depressed and the thought of seeing him makes me physically feel sick but at the same time I feel tingly in excitement. It's so hard to explain."

"I wanna die."

They turned to Jeff as they listened to the music blasting from the car as they pulled into Dalton but no one moved an inch. They heard the car stop and the grip on Nick's hand was painfully tight but he let his best friend.

"You can do this baby."

"I don't think I can."

"Yes you fucking can. Think him of a past instead of a present. It'll make your life a whole lot easier." Wes said with a nod and Blaine nodded back as he took a deep breath.

"I'm going to go down. I can't wait any longer. I love you gorgeous." Jeff said softly blowing Blaine a kiss who caught it and place it to his heart.

"I love you too beautiful."

In a flash Jeff was out the room. They heard the car door opening and as soon as they seen David's mouth gape open they knew something was wrong. They listened to him stumbled over his words for a few seconds before he turned to them slowly.

"You need to see this."

"Is he bald?" Wes said in a excitedly as he clapped his hands like a child as he walked over to his best friend as he watched him shake his head with a shocked expression on his face. "Bad acne? Damn is Hummel fat?"

"Jesus Wesley just fucking lo-

David pulled him forcefully to the window, grabbing his face roughly to face him towards the glass and Blaine and Nick watched as the shock ran through his face too.

"What is it?" Blaine said as the adrenaline rushed though his body and he quickly stood with his best friend to make his way over.

"Well that was the last thing I was expecting."

They had never seen Wes shocked before but he sure was today. It was written all over his face and it was a enough for them to look out the window too. Nick looked first placing a hand on Blaine shoulder to keep him back while he seen what they was seeing first.

"Holy shit."

Blaine couldn't hold it back any longer, he needed to see too so he slowly looked out the window. His eyes landed on Finn first. The lanky man was laughing hysterically at the trunk of the car with his hand on his stomach trying to contain the contractions he was experiencing with laughing so hard. He noticed the car too, it was expensive, not his usual car and he wondered how he's afford to pay for such a lush vehicle and then he heard his voice and his heart stopped as he laid eyes on him.

"You wanna hand baby?"

"You sick fuck. Are you going to help or just stand there and look pretty?"

"I've just had manicure. I'm sure you'll manage sweetie." Kurt said with a smirk as he flashed him his nails before slamming the car door and making his way over to his brother.

"You keep that sassy attitude up bro I'll punch you into next week."

"Nothing you haven't did before." Kurt said with a grin as he wrapped his arms around him from behind and leaned on his tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

"No homo dude."

Kurt rolled his eyes and tapped his cheek as his brother leaned in to kiss him on the cheek back. They knew they would be watching and he couldn't imagine what their faces would be like seeing him and Finn so close.

"No homo." Kurt replied back as he placed his hand on the suitcase and pulled it out with no trouble.

"You're not working out with my anymore man, you're showing me up."

"What can say? I like showing you up bro. Gives me a reason to wake up everything morning." Kurt shot back with a wink as he took out his phone and started to ring his best friend.

"Is your blondie meeting you?"

"Yeah he told me on the phone he was meeting me. I'm early tho-

"Hey baby."

The voice sounded broken but full of excitement and Kurt felt his eyes water but he pushed it back and turned around with a huge grin.

"There's my blondie."

Jeff let out a laugh of relief and started to run towards him. Kurt threw his bag off his shoulder and started to run towards him too and as soon Jeff made the connection, he burst into tears and sobbed into his neck.

"God I've missed you, I've missed you so fucking much."

Kurt didn't responded straight away and his perfectly manicured fingers stroked through his wet blonde hair. He smiled wider, the biggest smile he's give since he left and he glanced to Finn who was watching from the car.

"I fucking missed you too." Kurt whispered as he felt the smile against his shoulder.

"You've got a lot of explaining to do baby." Jeff whispeared into his ear before pulling back and cupping his face gently with his two hands. "Where the fuck have you been? Do you know how worried I've been about you? Why didn't you answer my calls? My texts till a few days ago? What about when I knocked at your door sobbing my heart for your to answer?"

"Blond-

"Oh my god your hair is blue."

Kurt burst into laughter as he seen his best friend lift his hand up with hesitation in his actions. "Go on blondie, I know you want too."

"I don't think I've ever been more attracted to you. You're so fucking hot."

"Right? Who knew a box dye and a mid life crisis would make me look this good."

"I hate you so much." Jeff whispered as his fingers ran through his hair and looked into his eyes.

"I hate you too." Kurt said with with a smirk as he wiped his tears away from his best friends eyes. "So, are you ready?"

"Just a little longer please."

Kurt nodded and wrapped his arms around him again and leaned into his ear. "We have all year blondie."

"I don't wanna let you go."

"Not even for your surprise?"

"Oh my god." Jeff said excitedly pulling back so he could look at his face.

"My dad got you something. He said he misses you and he wanted to get you a little something to say sorry. I'll give you your birthday presents later okay?"

"He did?" Jeff said softly as his eyes watered heavily and Kurt nodded and as he started to pull out a box from his Jean pocket. "That's okay, you didn't have to get me anything baby."

Kurt rolled his eyes and went to hand him it but his best friend stopped him and raised his hand to the beautiful silver that was wrapped around his own neck. He felt him pull it out and watched him smile widely at the tiny spanner that was hanging from his pale skin.

"He said he can't have his boys not matching."

Jeff finger trailed over it before he leaned down and kissed it gently. "Please can I see him? I've missed him so much. I tried calling him but he didn't answer. Is he mad at me?"

"No of course not. I asked him not to talk to you. It's my fault entirely. He just wanted to respect my wishes. He loves you very much." Kurt whispered as he leaned forward to kiss his forward. "Now turn around so I can put it on you."

Jeff giggled and turned his back and Kurt started to open the box and gently lifting it out so he could put it around his neck.

"Do you think I can see him soon? I miss mommy bear too."

"You can see them soon I promise."

Kurt felt sick lying to him but he knew the grief would kill him. His dad treated him just like his own son, like they was brothers and he didn't want him to find out just yet. He unclasped it and leaned his arms over him and lining it up correctly before fastening it. He kissed the base of his neck before twirling his around to face him.

"I love it." Jeff said as he placed a hand to it gently to feel the silver between his fingers. "Tell daddy bear I love him so much."

"I don't have too, he already kno-

"Hey dude."

Jeff glanced over his shoulder to Finn who had his arms out with a smile waiting for his turn in shock. "You wanna hug me?"

"No I wanna kiss you." Finn said with a wink and he gasped pointing his finger at him.

"I forgot to tell you Finn is now officially a fag supporter." Kurt said with a grin as he started to push the blonde towards his tall brother.

"Oh yeah man one hundred percent. Homo for life." Finn said pounding his first to his chest and placing it in the air and Jeff screamed in laughter as he got brought into a huge hug.

"Well I never thought this would happen."

Kurt smirked and started to walk away back to the car so he could sort his things out while they had a moment together. He couldn't hear what they was saying to each other and it was the kind of moment he wished he was a vampire.

"How shocked are you?"

"Sweetie I never thought I would ever be in proximity to you, never mind you hugging me and kissing my cheek like it's fucking normal. What happened?"

"I realised how much of a dick I was to him. He's a good brother, the best even. I can't believe I wasted four years hating him for something he couldn't change."

"Something he couldn't change huh?" Jeff said with a hand on his face.

"Yeah blondie, something my brother couldn't change. Can you do me a favour?"

"Course I can. Was is it?"

"Look after him." Finn said with a smile but Jeff could see right through it and he gestured for him to leave in so he could whisper into his ear.

"I heard him on the phone to Mr Alexander. He seems great. Is it just a charade?"

"I can assure you blondie my brother is in top form. His first few weeks was awful but he bounced back. He's different now and he's matured a lot this year. He wants to do his time and carry on with his life."

"So he's okay? Really okay?"

"He's fine honestly. To be honest with you, he's over it."

"Come on blondie! It's going to take me ages doing my room!"

"I better get going, I hate it when I keep him waiting." Jeff said hugging him once last time. "Do you want to come in and see everyone?"

"I don't think that's a good idea. They already hated me beforehand it's just going to add fuel to the fire dude."

"My baby isn't the only person who's changed this year." Jeff said with a huge smile as he kissed his cheek. "Look after yourself frankinteen."

"You too queen."

Jeff gasped as a laugh escaped his throat and Finn pushed him towards his brother who was waiting for his best friend.

"Love you dude!"

Kurt blew him a kiss and waved as he got in the car. He felt his best friend join hands with him and squeeze it gently to ask if he was okay and he nodded him return.

"Come on. Let's get this over with blondie."

"Are you sure you don't need any more time?"

"It's been a year, I think that's long enough don't you think?" Kurt said with a laugh before placing his duffle bag over his shoulder and grabbing his suitcase but Jeff slapped his hand away.

"Lemme help you!"

"I've got I-

"Ooo don't you fucking start already. You haven't even got into Dalton yet." Jeff warned as he slapped his hand away again and grabbed the handle. "I'm warning you, best behaviour."

"I love it when you get mad. It gets me excited."

Jeff choked out a laugh and turned to Kurt who was smirking at him as they walked to the double doors. "Excuse me?"

"You heard blondie."

"Where has my innocent best friend gone?"

"He's long gone." Kurt shot back with a wink before he opened the double doors and gesturing him through. "Do you wanna grab a banana thingy today?"

"Oh my god yes please. I haven't had one of those since y-

Jeff stopped himself as his eyes was already fighting back the tears. "I'm sor-

"You can finish it blondie, it's a just a word."

"I wasn't going to say that. I promise I was just going to say since you left." Jeff said softly as he placed a hand on his arm to stop him from walking through the reception area. "But It still hurts to say it you know? Can I ask you something?"

"Of course you can."

"Will you be apologising?"

"For what?"

"For what you did to Blaine."

Kurt stopped in his tracks and let out a laugh of disbelief and placed his bag down on the floor before turning back towards him. He felt extremely sick for what he was about to say but it was for the best.

"No, I'm not going to be apologising to him. I already did that a year ago and my two broken and bloody hands proved that from when I was banging on the door begging him for his forgiveness. It doesn't change what I did, it doesn't changed the fact I fucked someone else and I don't want his forgiveness anymore I'm over it. Did you hear that Anderson? Or shall I come and say it to your face?"

"Baby, come on that was cruel. He's been through a lot. Can you please try and be civil with them?"

"Is that returned? Are they going to welcome me back with open arms?"

"No baby, they're not."

"Then there's your answer blondie. I'll be civil I promise but if they start I'm going to give as good as I get." Kurt started to pick up his bag again before leaning over to kiss his cheek. "I just want to finish my year and get out this god damn school. Okay?"

"Okay baby. Let's go and get your things packed away and then we'll go out and get a banana thingy."

Blaine had broke down as soon as he laid his eyes on the blue haired man and it only made it worse as he heard the words slip from his mouth. They all couldn't believe the change in him the past year. He didn't just look different, his whole personality had changed too. He was still sweet with Jeffery but there was another side to him they didn't expect.

"That was harsh. I can't believe he fucking said that."

"I told you, he's poison and it's only going to get worse David." Wes said as he looked up unbothered from his book. "I'm surprised over Finn more than anything. Since when is he brother of the year?"

"I'm so baffled." Blaine whispeared as he leaned back into the sofa bringing his solo cup on that red liquid with him. "He's really over it, he's over me."

"Maybe that's a good thing Blaine. You don't have to worry about him bringing up memories and old feelings to get you back."

"Yeah I guess so. It's just hard to hear it after him being gone for so long. He was in such a wreck when he left I never thought he would get over it and I kinda wished he didn't so he could suffer." Blaine glanced to his best friend with a sigh. "It's only going to her worse isn't it?"

"I'm afraid so honey I'm sorry. Do you want to go to your room and watch a movie? You don't have to face him just yet."

"There's not point delaying the obvious. I have to share with him so I'm going bump into him at some point. I might as well get it out the way." Blaine said with a sad smile before looking to Wes and David.

"What about you guys? How do you feel about it?"

"He basically told you to go fuck yourself Anderson and he didn't care about your feelings. That's not just being insensitive, that's being a fucking bitch. I don't want anything to do with him truthfully. No matter what I told you yesterday, it doesn't change what he did."

"And you David? What do you think about his odd behaviour?"

"Could be a coping mechanism. He didn't just loose you man he lost everyone of us. He lost his home, his school and didn't see us for a year. It must of tortured him. I'm not sticking up for him before you think anything but we don't know what's gone around in his head for the past year."

"And you Nicky?"

"I'm with Wes. I'll try and be civil for your sake but if he so much as looks as me the wrong way I can't promise you I won't retaliate." Nick said seriously and Blaine nodded.

"What about you Anderson?" Wes asked lifting his head from his book.

"He's put me through hell the past year and even though I can't stop loving him, there's no way I can be involved with him again no matter how much it hurts. I'll be civil but that's all it'll be. Passing ships."

"Good man." Nick whispered before kissing his cheek and ruffling his hair. "We'll get you through this year I promise you."

"I'm not going to lie, he looks amazing. God his fucking hair. I didn't think he could be any more attractive, blondie is right about that."

"Do you think he did that to piss you off?"

"Mostly likely Wes. Out of all colours he picked blue?"

"Like I said, he's a bitch." Wes said with a shrug as he placed his book down on the table and reaching for his coffee. "I'm devastated he's not ugly. Why couldn't he of just got fat and lazy?"

"He would of never let himself go, no matter how hard of a time he had. There was no way he was coming back here fat and ugly." Nick said as rolling his eyes and took his phone out his pocket to text his boyfriend. "As much as I would of loved to see it."

"He looks good there's no denying that. It's just going to make it ten times harder." Nick said with a sigh and then he started to read his boyfriend's message. "They're just dropping his stuff and coming here to see us. This is going to be fucking awkward."

"I guess he's seen him room. Has anyone else been in it?" Blaine asked and they all shook their heads.

"Have you?"

"No Nick. I locked it from the bathroom. I don't even know what kinds of a state it's in but by the sound of his voice it's bad." Blaine said with a small laugh as he looked at his hands in nerves.

"Damn."

Kurt looked around his trashed room and he slid off his duffle bag and it dropped to the floor. Jeff swallowed hard as he tried to keep his emotions in check but seeing the damage he did to his room was breaking his heart.

Every photo frame was smashed, every mirror that was scattered with his own blood, clothes was ripped, his TV was smashed to pieces. Every bit of his life at Dalton was destroyed even down to every last pen and pencil. The only thing that was perfect was his bed. Jeff could still smell Blaine on it and he had to look away. The bed wasn't made but he guessed it was the last time they slept together the night before everything happened. It was like something out of a murder scene, it was like his room had been burgled.

"I don't even know where to fucking start." Kurt laughed out as he glanced around the room looking at every inch of his mess.

"Maybe we should clean the blood first." Jeff whispeared at the broken glass that was scattered across the room. "This is a lot of blood. What did you do baby?"

"You wanna know what I did?"

"Please."

"First I punched the mirror. I couldn't bare looking at my reflection without wanting to kill myself. Then I punched it again and again till there was nothing left of it." Kurt said casually as he sat down on the bed.

Jeff glanced to his hands and quickly grabbed them, bringing them towards his face. "This scaring across your knuckles, is that from?"

"Yep."

"Then what?" Jeff started to run his thumb across the deep scaring that was a long his fingers and knuckles. "What else did you do baby?"

"Photos next. I ripped every single one of them up, broke the frames blah blah blah. It was very therapeutic."

"These are your memories." Jeff picked up the photo of him and Kurt that was perfectly intact. "Why didn't you rip these ones up? Of me and you?"

"Because you was the only one you didn't hate me and still loved me after everything I had did. I didn't want to loose these memories when I got back."

Jeff smiled sadly as he placed the photo down exactly where it was and he looked back up to him. "I love that photo. It was from your day at classes. It's my favourite."

"Mine too." Kurt said with a smile as he glanced to it. "Anyway, I better get this cleaned up. I'll meet you in the common room?"

"No I can help yo-

"You're already close to tears. It's all good honestly blondie. I'm just going to clean the glass and I'll be there okay?"

"Okay. Can I have a kiss?"

Kurt grinned and leaned forward, kissing the blonde on the cheek chastely. "Ten minutes?"

"Ten minutes." Jeff repeated with a grin before returning the kiss and in a flash he was out the room.

Jeff walked into the common room and went straight to Blaine. He sat on his knee gently and wrapped his arms around him. "Please tell me you're okay gorgeous."

"How bad was the room?"

Jeff sighed as he started to play with his loose curls that he never gelled anymore. He twirled one around his finger before telling them.

"Blood was everywhere. I don't know how we didn't smell it. Over every photo, every piece of glass, on the walls where he h-

"It was everywhere." Jeff said as he continued to play with he curls.

"Where he had what babe?"

"He was bleeding pretty heavily by the looks of it. I think by the looks of the hand prints he was keeping himself steady so he didn't fall."

"What the fuck happened to him when he left?" Wes asked glancing around to the others who was just as confused as he was at the question.

"I don't know but it doesn't change anything he still did what he did. A sob story or his mess of a room doesn't change my feelings about him." Nick said seriously as he placed a hand on his boyfriend thigh. "I'm sorry babe but it's just how I feel you know?"

"It's okay sweetie I'll look after him. It's all on me." Jeff said with a smile as he kissed his boyfriend before kissing Blaine. "He does seem okay though apart from the slight personality change."

"I'm still waiting for him to break but it doesn't seem that way does it?"

"No Davey. I well and truly believe he's over it." Jeff said as he titled his head onto Blaine's shoulder.

"That's fine with me. Let him get on with it and I will too. The only thing that's between us is a bathroom." Blaine said bluntly as he kissed the blondes head as they listened to the glass getting picked up from the floor.

"He's got balls if he's just going to walk in here on his own like shit didn't hit the fan twelve months ago."

"There's no way he's going to just walk in here right?"

"I'm surprised he didn't ask you to walk in with him Jeffery." Wes said looking up from his book.

"I'm surprised too. My nerves are shot just thinking about the next five minutes." Jeff said with a sigh glancing to his boyfriend.

"Don't look me like that. I'm not going to do anything or say anything unless he picks a fight." Nick said as he leaned over for his coffee but it was interrupted and they all looked up.

The door open quickly and kurt walked in, closing the door behind him and he started to smile sweetly as he walked over and started to sit down on the sofa next to David. They all stared at him, the casualness was more than uncomfortable.

"So, how have you all been?"

Their was silence that seemed like forever but Kurt kept his glance looking between them all with a smile. Nick was clenching his fist so hard they was going white but Jeff was proud of him for not making a move.

"I know I wasn't expecting a warm welcome but at least you can do if acknowledge my presence for five seconds to say hello. It's not hard."

There was silence again as they all tried to control their emotions in front of the man. Nicky was ready to murder him along side with Wes, Jeff was cringing through a smile at kurt, David's eyes was pinned on the wall as awkwardness took over his body and Blaine was staring him out as his fact twisted in disgust.

"I've been good man. What about you?"

They all thanked David for being the first to have the balls to address him personality but they could see in his eyes as he looked at Kurt he was so close to breaking down.

"Ah I'm good." Kurt said with a grin as he turned his head to face David as the silence hit again. "You?"

"I'm good man." David whispearedt as he turned back around to the wall as the silence hit again.

"Kurtis." Wes spat out as he learned back in his chair to see his reaction.

"Wesley." Kurt said with a smile and a nod unfazed his his attempt to aggravate him.

"I can't do this." Nick laughed out as he finally couldn't hold it in any longer but Kurt looked unbothered by his reaction. "Are you getting a fucking kick out of this? Walking in here like you never left?"

"What do you expect me to do?"

"You ruined our fucking lives you asshole. You don't get the conversation, you got get the pitty and you certainly don't get my friendship."

"Are you going to least grow the fuck up and look me when you say that? I'm not over in the corner Nicky, I'm right fucking in front of you."

Nicky turned his head slowly and as soon as he met his eyes he lost it. His hands was around his throat before any of them had an idea what was going on. Kurt tried to stop his hands but he was far to strong. He heard screaming and shouting and he started to go dizzy but he never wants left his gaze.

"You are disgusting, worthless waste of oxygen and you know what Kurt? If it wasn't for my boyfrien-

Kurt coughed as his eyes rolled back into his head but he he kept fighting to try and pry his hands off his throat.

"You would have been dead the second you walked into that door." Nick whispered lowly into his face with a smirk plastered all over his face. "You are the worse type of cheat." Kurt started to loose the ability to breathe but he didn't remove his eyes, he took word into his mind. "Infidelity doesn't come from a lack of love, it comes from a lack of respect and if you truly loved that man, that beautiful, selfless man, being faithful should have been so fucking easy for you."

None of them could stop him. He was the worse type of vampire when he was angry. He blanked everything out and the stronger he became. Wes out of all people even tried to get Nick off Kurt but he was pushed back, sending him flying into David.

"Fucking do it."

Kurt stopped struggling and moved his hands away, laying them on the table limply as he started to laugh with the last of his energy witch shocked them more than ever.

"Fucking do it Nicky. I'm not in the slightest bit scared of you."

Nick let go in shock, throwing him to the floor as he gasped for air. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't speak and even though his windpipe had collapsed he still managed to smirk at Nick as he glanced up.

"You evil mother fucker." Nick shot forward quickly, kneeing him in his face forcing him on his back but he kept laughing hysterically as his turned his face to him again as his nose bled from the break.

"You hit like a fucking girl."

Nick shot forward again but was stopped by David, Blaine and Wes while Jeff pulled Kurt safely away from his boyfriend. They all glanced to him laying on the floor as the blonde started to try and stop the bleeding from us nose.

"Why the fuck would you do that?" David whispered in horror as he watched Kurt struggle for his breath. "He's human. Are you forgetting that? You could of killed him and then what? Do you think your boyfriend would appreciate you killing his best fucking friend?"

"Fuck." Nick whispeared back as he leaned his head back against the wall turning his head to David. "Fuck David."

"Yeah. Fuck Nicky." David said in shock shaking his head as he started to run over to help him with Jeffery.

"Blaine?" Nick said brokenly as he turned his head to his best friend.

"I don't blame you Nicky but don't ever do that again. He might have ruined our life but at one point he was the best thing that ever happened to me and I can't let that go. Promise me, promise me you won't hurt him like that again."

"I promise." Nick started to feel the regret instantly as he looked over to Kurt was already bruising violently around his neck and collarbone.

"Do you feel better?" Wes asked as he tried to figure out what he was feeling. "Did that makes it easier?"

"I did until he let go. He wanted me to do it I seen it in his fucking eyes. That's when I realised I made a mistake. I just couldn't go through with it." Nick said placing a hand over his face in shame.

Jeff wouldn't even look at Nick in the eyes and that just made him feel even more shitty about himself and what he had did. They all knew he didn't regret it at that moment but the way he was looking at Kurt they knew he regretted it now, exactly like they said he would.

"I'm fine David ho-

"Take a drink please it'll help your throat."

David lifted it up again and Kurt opened his mouth slighty for the water while Jeff held his nose to try and stop the heavy bleeding that ran down his mouth to his neck.

"Baby are you okay? I'm so so-

"Don't apologise blondie, it's not your fault your boyfriend is a psychopath."

Nick eyes flashed red again but he was pinned forcefully against the wall by the two of them. "How the fuck do you expect me to control myself when he's acting like a fucking insensitive dick."

"He's doing it for a reaction Duval and just because you let go doesn't mean you didn't win. You're the better and bigger person. Calm down." Wes said sternly and Nick nodded as he started to sit with Blaine on the floor.

"Bab-

"Don't Nick, just fucking don't." Jeff growled out as he turned his head to him who was sitting on the other side of the room. "You fucking promised me."

Nick felt sick as he looked at his heartbroken boyfriend. He promised him he wouldn't hurt him and yet he did. He had broken his trust for the first time ever and he needed out. He quickly stood and was out the room in seconds, follow by Blaine who didn't even take one look at his ex who was struggling to breathe still on the floor.

"Je vous remercie chérie."

David looked up to kurt and met his eyes. It was their way of connecting, through the love of the language. David's heart sank as he heard the thick french accent bounce of every corner of the room but in the same breathe, he couldn't help but grin.

"Toujours pétale."

Kurt let out a strained laugh before taking another sip of the water to cool his burning throat. "Well that was eventful." He placed the water down on the floor and looked between them both. "Who knew getting strangled would turn me on."

They both groaned shaking their heads which only made him laugh harder at their reactions. He glanced to Wes who was standing watching from a far and he titled his head slighty, challenging him.

"Don't even go there bitch. You haven't even been at Dalton for five minutes and you're already causing murder."

"Have you missed me?"

"I miss my dead dog, but certainly not you."

"That's a shame. Do you know how hard it's been not torturing you all day everyday? It's been excruciatingly painful." Kurt said dramatically placing a hand on his heart and Wes rolled his eyes and started to walk out.

"Don't roll your eyes to hard baby! They might fall out!"

Wes slammed the door, nearly taking it off its hinges as he made his way to the other two who was waiting for him outside the door. They took one look at him and seen he was just as pissed Nick was and it relaxed them both in a strange way knowing the feeling was mutual.

"Don't." Wes said with a laugh of disbelief as he walked over to them shaking his head. "He's a monster. Did you fucking hear what he said to me?"

"Poison Wesley, poison." Blaine gestured for them to leave with him. "I can't be in that room any longer. I'm loosing my mind just being in the same room as him."

"How are you holding everything in? He hasn't even acknowledged your presence. Doesn't that anger you?" Nick said in frustration as he opened the door for them to walk in his room.

"I'm seething Nicky. I knew it would be bad but his whole personality change has ruined me. I don't think I have anymore tears left to cry honestly." Blaine replied back as he started to lay on the bed while they sat on the sofa to give him some space. "I don't even know what I would say to him you know? I'm just heartbroken."

"He gave up fighting with me."

They both turned their heads to him with a sigh. Every single one of them had seen it in his eyes that he wasn't joking when he said it. The way Kurt gave him better access to his neck, the way he laughed knowing he was so close to death it scared them all in a state of shock.

"He just gave up. He took every fucking word in like a sponge and then just laughed in my face as my hands was wrapped around his throat. I could of killed him yet their was everything in his eyes except fear. He really doesn't give a shit anymore and for the first time in a year I felt sorry for him."

"I seen it Nicky. It scared me too. I've never seen that look on his face before. It was pure evil." Blaine sat up from the bed and swung his legs around so he could face them. "I don't think he was tormenting you, I think he was pushing you."

"Pushing him to do it?" Wes said confused and Blaine nodded slowly as he started to play with his hands. "Why on earth would he do that? Come on, he's stupid but not that stupid."

"Like David said, we don't know what year he's had. He lost everything in the space of an hour. Who knew what insanity it drove him too. Or maybe he's just fucking insane."

"Insane more likely, that bitch sure knows how to make you tick." Wes took out his phone as it buzzed and he started to read the message out to them. "We are going to take him back to our room man. He's in pretty bad shape. I'll come over and see you soon."

Jeff and David had started walking Kurt to the room. He refused the help but they wouldn't let him go on his own. He was staggering a little, most definitely the shock and the adrenaline running through his veins.

"Can you stop being a stubborn little bitch for just a second so I can help you?" Jeff spoke sternly at his friend and all he got was an eye roll in return.

"Your boyfriend nearly tore out my windpipe Jeffery. He didn't snap my kneecaps, I'm perfectly capable to walk on my own blondie."Kurt laughed out and nudged him in the shoulder playfully.

"Comment pouvez-vous être si cool avec ce pétale?"

David waited for a reply but he never got it. Kurt just shrugged and carried on walking to the room He wasn't okay with it. He nearly had just been decapitated like that scene from twilight.

"imm going to see Nick. I'll be with you soon okay?" Jeff mumbled out and gave Kurt a quick kiss to his temple. "Can you take him Davey?"

"I'm not a freaking child blo-

"I'll take him. Go on Jeffery, it's okay."

Jeff took one last look before taking a few steps back and opening his room door. He waited for them to get into David's and Wesley's room before walking in and shutting the door over on him.

"You're a fucking asshole Nicky."

"I know."

"How could you even think about doing that to him? Are you a fucking idiot?"

"I don't know je-

"Have you seen the state of him?" Jeff belted out while he walked closer to Nick . "I know you have your differences, I know you'll never feel the way I do again but that was out of line. You was out of fucking line Nick."

Nick didn't know what to say. He was lost for words. He deserved every bit of this from his boyfriend. He knew he had fucked to big time just by the look on his face.

"I feel so bad about it love. What is wrong with me?" Nick sighed and put his head in his palms. "I didn't think seeing him and hearing him would affect me this much. I'm so sorry."

Jeff looked at his boyfriend. He really truly looked sorry for what he had did but that didn't mean he was forgiven. He started to sit down, placing a hand on Blaine to try and calm himself.

"Is he okay Jeffery?"

"I just don't know Blaine. I can see he's struggling but he won't let me in. You heard him just then right?" The three of them nodded in unison. "He nearly just had his throat gashe-

"I'm so sorry."

"Let me finish Nick." Jeff waved his hand in dismissal. "He nearly died and he made a joke out of it and yes Nick, maybe you would of pulled away but at the end of the day, he's not himself we all know that. No matter how much he hurt us, we hurt him too."

"I want to see if he's okay but I just can't Jeff. Every time I look at him I feel nauseous." Blaine professed wishing he could erase all the memories away.

"I know gorgeous, I know. Are you going to be okay?" Jeff squeezed his hand and stood up to make his way out the room.

"I'm be okay. Don't worry about me I've got these two to keep me company."

"Okay you. I'm not finished Nick, we'll resume later."

Nick nodded and lowered his head in shame. Definitely in the dog house tonight. He watched him leave before letting out another sigh.

"And this is why I don't do relationships."

They both turned to Wes who was trying to contain his laughter at the blondes outburst. A pillow was thrown at his face by Nick, followed by another by Blaine and he finally let the laughter out.

"Seriously Wes? Already cracking jokes already?"

"Sorry Anderson I just can't help myself." Wes started to placed one behind his head with a grin. "Single life is the best life."

"If you wasn't so uptight all the time you might actually find a girl who wants you."

"I don't know what you're talking about Duval, I'm irresistible."

"Keep telling yourself that Montgomery, it might help you sleep at night."

"Fuck you Anderson."

"Don't get your panties in a twist. You know we mean well Wes." Blaine stood and moved himself over so he could sit closer to them. "This is going to be a rough year for all of us isn't it?"

"It's only one year Blaine and then he's he's gone. Just three hundred and sixty five days and that bastard is out of out life's for good. Let's just grin and bare it. Deal?" Wes said holding his hand out for him to shake.

"Deal." Blaine lifted his hand to shake his gently before turning to Nick. "Come on Nicky. It's only one year."

"I'm only doing this because I love you."

"How do you feel baby? No headaches? No dizziness? Let me check you again."

"I'm fine, honestly stop worrying. I promise I'm okay blondie." Kurt said with a smile but Jeff didn't take no notice and he started to check him over again with David. "Why are you here David?"

"Because I want to be here Kurt."

"What do they have to say about you nursing me back to health?"

"It's not their concern what I do." David replied back as he felt around his nose. "That was out of line and no matter what has gone on between you and Blaine you didn't deserve that."

"I did deserve it. I deserved more actually. I just added fuel to the fire that was already fucking roa-

David brought him in for a hug which made his seize up entirely. "I'm just going to say it because I can feel how uncomfortable you are with me hugging you."

"Who says I'm uncomfortable Thompson? I've been waiting for long time for you to wrap them huge fucking arms around my tiny little waist."

"Jesus Christ." David choked out as he pulled back to look at the pale man's face.

"Looks who's uncomfortable now."

"Man, you've got some explaining to do. I can't believe that just come out your mouth."

"You should see what goes in it."

David's eyes went wide and glanced to Jeff who was shaking with laughter at his new found confidence. It flowed out his mouth like it was the most normal thing to say to him. Kurt couldn't even talk about sex without going red even after experiencing it himself and now he was proud and open of his sexuality.

"I'm going now before my eyes fall out my head." David said in shock and Kurt burst into laughter as he watched in quickly run out the room.

"Damn baby, you do know how to make a man blush." Jeff wrapped his arms around him from behind on the bed, placing his chin on his shoulder. "Are you alright? How's your neck?"

"Sore. You can kiss it better if you want?"

"You're already trouble." Jeff said softly as he placed a kiss to the side of his neck. "And you've turned rogue." He placed another one by his ear and he heard Kurt suck in a breathe. "You're very naughty baby, I'm worried about you."

"I've been pushed around my whole life blondie, it was about time I start standing up for myself. I guess I just needed the motivation."

"What am I going to do with you?"

"You can kiss me better for longer if you want?"

"I fucking hate you." Jeff whispered with a grin as he continued to kiss his neck and Kurt just nodded matching his grin.

"I should apologise."

"You're going to hate that Duval."

"I nearly broke his neck. It's gonna kill me but it's the right thing to do right Montgomery?"

"As much as I hate to admit it you're right. You should make him his favourite as a peace offering. He'll be on soft foods anyway for a while while he throat heals."

Nick glanced to Blaine who was laying on the bed with his face towards them both. He felt guilty but he pushed it aside and starting to stand up.

"Soup?" Blaine said with a sad smile and Nick nodded with a laugh.

"Soup." Nick replied before he started to make his way out the room to go to the kitchen.

"I've gotta go and meet my dad in an hour." Wes stood and walked over to the bed and sat down next to him. "I'll be back in a few hours. Are you going to be good Anderson?"

"Yeah I'll be good. David is coming round now anyway. Are you going to your room?"

"Yeah I need a shower. Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

Wes?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for everything you've did this year. I would have been lost without you too."

Wes gave a genuine smile and nodded to the curly haired man before David came through the door and made his way straight to Blaine, climbing over his body and relaxing on top of him.

"Jesus fucking Christ you weight a to-

"Don't call me fat ever again man or I'll end you life." David said sternly as he shifted his weight but Blaine moved him right back with a laugh.

"That's better." Blaine whispeared as he wrapped his arms around his shoulders to comfort him too. "I'll see you later Wes."

"Bye man."

Wes nodded to David before leaving the room. He stood outside the door for a second, leaning his head against the wall and placing his palms to the wall as he took deep breaths.

"You look stressed Montgomery. Is me coming back already fizzing your little vampy brain?"

Wes let out an angry laugh, moving his head to face Kurt who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his body with a smirk on his face.

"What is your fucking problem bitch?"

"I don't have a problem. I'm just commenting on your mental state. It seems to be declining and I'm worried about you."

Wes burst into laughter as he moved himself away from the wall and he walked right up to Kurt, leaning his face into his with a disgusted smile plastered on his mouth.

"If Satan was in human form, it would most definitely be you." Wes said in disgust into his face but the blue haired man didn't move an inch. "If you wasn't dead to me before, you're dead to me now. Good luck defending yourself for the year. The whole school knows you're a cheating whore and they're not very happy about it."

"I'm guessing you're the one that told everyone?"

"Unfortunately for you yes. It's my welcome back gift. I hope you have lovely year at Dalton Academy."

Wes moved himself away, pushing past him to make his way to his room but he turned around quickly. "Oh and Kurtis?"

Kurt lifted his head without a word said to him. Wes eyes traveled up his neck, the bruising was becoming purple now already and then his eyes met his and he seen nothing in them. No hurt, no anger and no pain and it was like he was blank and emotionless for a second and Wes got this feeling, shooting through his body to stop but he don't stop.

"I'm going to make your year hell at Dalton. You're going to wish you never came back."

Kurt didn't response for the first time to a remark he had made and instead he slipped into his room, shutting the door gently behind him. All of them waiting for the outburst or a hint of his emotions but it never came and all they could hear was him cleaning his room.

"Did you have to do that Wessy?"

"Yes jeffery, I did." Wes replied back to the blonde who was standing behind him with hurt in his eyes. "If I didn't say it now, it would just sit on my mind and it would come out eventually. If you want me to be civil it's what needed to be done."

Wes walked passed and squeezed the blondes shoulder before making his way to his own room, opening the door and shut it over on himself. He closed his eyes for a second, replaying it in his mind before making his way to the bathroom but the door swung open revealing Kurt.

"Get the fuck out my room Hummel."

"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Kurt slammed his door and walked right up to his face, mimicking him for five minutes ago. "Who the fuck do you think you are Wesley?"

The others shot up, knowing this was going to plan out exactly like it did the first time they met. He was tormenting him using the same exact same words. They both was extremely argumentative and with Kurt's change of attitude it was only going to be worse this time around.

"That's a little hypocritical don't you think?"

"Did you think telling the whole school I'm a whore is going to affect me? I've had people staring at me in disgust for my whole god life. It's going to nothing and it's not going to break me Wesley as much as I know you would love it too."

"Come on baby just leave it please." Jeff as softly placing a hand on his shoulder but Kurt shook his head with a laugh.

"I'm not leaving this god damn room till every single one of you get what you need to get off your chest. So I would appreciate if you all sat down in a lovely fucking circle so we can an Intervention, just like the first time I came to Dalton." Kurt said gesturing to the room with a huge smile on his face that was making them all extremely uncomfortable.

"I'm not doing Jack shit Hummel, I don't owe you a damn th-

"Sit your fucking ass down." Kurt said with a laugh pointing to the seat behind him. "I'll start trashing the place like a child. Would you like me to start on your beautiful collection of Beethoven now? Or shall I start wiping my ass on your on violin instead? Your choice."

"Damn." David mumbled as he sat himself down on the bed. "Just sit down man he's not playing around."

"Sit down Wes." Blaine said emotionless as he pulled down Nick who was shaking his head in frustration.

"No."

Kurt laughed in disbelief as he placed a hand on his forehead. "Are you sure I can't change your mind?"

"No."

"Okay Montgomery."

Kurt walked over to his record collection and without any hesitation, he started to snap them. Wes shot forward, pinning his wrists with one hand on the wall while he glanced to his first edition record that was snapped in three on the floor.

"Why would you do that? You know how much they mean to me. I can't repla-

"I don't care if you can't replace them. I don't care that they're first editions either. We do this now or we don't do it at all. The balls in your court."

"I fucking hate you. I wish Nick would of done it." Wes whispered before letting go of his wrists roughly and walking over to the bed and sitting down with his best friend. "And if you touch my shit again, I'll finish the job and I won't hesitate."

"Good for you." Kurt said as he pulled his desk chair out and sat down. "Who's first?"

There was silence as they all was dealing from his argument with Wes and the person they thought that would speak would be Blaine.

"Why did you do it Kurt?"

"Break his records? Or break your heart?"

"Don't be a fucking asshole. Don't you think I've been through enough?"

Kurt licked his lips glanced to Wes's fridge. "Can I have a drink? My throat is rather sore from my strangulation."

Wes rolled his eyes and stood to grab him one from the fridge. He wanted to tell him no but his voice was raw and breaking every time he opened his mouth to talk. He pulled him out a water and passed him it.

"Thank you."

"Oh you have manners now?"

"I never lost my manners."

Kurt opened the cap and took a sip as he stared at Blaine. They was so confused they couldn't hear his thoughts and feelings but the only answer for that was him drinking vervain.

"Are you drinking vervain?" David asked as he looked over his body for any sign on distress.

"Yep. I'm not soft. I knew the first thing you would do was invade my fucking thoughts. I'm not just a pretty face." Kurt placed the water down on the floor and turned his view back to Blaine.

"Where are you getting your supply from?" David added because the only people who had their hands on vervain was themselves.

"Does it matter?"

"Yes it matters porcelain. Just fucking tell us." Nick was impatient and they all could see that. "You want a intervention? You best start talk-

"Sebastian."
