I own nothing except the storyline. Just plugging in characters and turning things sideways. For context, the comet has not been written. Any other holes will be filled in as we go. Lots of familiar characters and storylines will be making questions let me know and if there are grammatical errors don't hesitate to point them out.

Please remember, I do what I want writing-wise.

Nathan POV

I looked over to the vibrating phone and picked up the remote to mute Sportscenter.

"What's up, Bro?" I asked after answering.

"I just got back to my room not long ago and wanted to check in," Lucas replied.

"You doing okay?" I heard him exhale with the question.

"As well as I guess a person can be when their fiance leaves them at the altar. She emailed me but I have not had the courage to read it." He admitted.

"Look, you don't have to do anything you don't want to and I think it is good for you to get a bit of space. Karen really cleaned up the house for you and her and Haley mentioned painting."

He groaned, "Please don't let them paint anything pink."

"I will make sure Jamie supervises. Can you tell me where you ended up?" I questioned.

"Boston," Luke answered.

"Any particular reason you picked there?"

"The soonest available ticket when I got to the counter."

"Did you leave your room today?"

"I found a bookstore and Rory dragged me around to eat all this food." He explained.

"Who's Rory and where did you meet him?"

He chuckled, " I met her at the bookstore and she took pity on me. She said I reminded her of herself from months back. Rory is even dragging me around tomorrow."

"Look at you bro, already met a rebound." I poked fun at him.

Then I heard a growl.

"Did Lucas Scott just growl at me?" I laughed.

"It isn't like that. We went to dinner and she said it was an alone time without being alone. We barely said 10 words to each other while we ate. Just read our books." He defended himself.

"Okay, I am kidding. You literally just left here. I was messing with you. Do you need anything?"

"'I'm okay for now. Just need the space to deal with the fact Lindsay left and I wonder what that means for my next book. I never signed the next contract."

"What about shopping a few chapters around to other places? You don't need them."

"Thanks Nate, I will let you go I'm so full from everything we ate dinner. That girl eats more than Skills."

I barked out a laugh, "Really? Nobody eats more than Skills?"

"She really did. Her mom and her do this thing where they order all these various items and share."

"That sounds delicious. We should do that with Jamie."

"It is right up his alley.

"Go get some rest." I encouraged.

"Hey, Nate?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we make sure Peyton doesn't know where I am? I don't want to be anywhere near her."

"Got it. I won't even tell Hales. She's been asking around and trying to figure out where you are. I will call Karen in the morning too. Make sure it stays between us three."

"Thanks. Give my love to the family."

What are we not telling Hales? I heard behind me.

I turned around and waved my wife over to sit next to me.

"I talked to Lucas and he asked me not to let Peyton know where he is. Doesn't want to deal with her. I know you are a horrible liar and figured if you don't know then you are safe."

She laughed. "That is true. I agree nobody tells me. Jamie keeps secrets better."

I turned off the television and stood reaching down to drag Haley up with me.

"Let's head to bed."
