Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to my very first, and so far my most ambitious and riskiest, fanfic of all time. Additionally, this is also my first crossover fanfic as well. Well, a different form of crossover.
This story is more or less the plot of Fairy Tail, but with a few twists and turns and some filler here and there in order to make it stand out, as well as expanding some plot points that I feel should have been expanded. Also, I will be changing some fights as well so that there will be no simple rehashes. Key word being some. This has been inspired by what various writers have done with similar works, such as the Subspace Emissary from Smash Bros Brawl or the entire storyline of Injustice: Gods Among Us. However, this story was inspired mostly by DigiXBot's story "Alternate Tail". Really great fanfic, I recommend reading it, and it is absolutely worth your time.
The first major twist I will be introducing you too, is the characters. To put it simply, they won't be the Fairy Tail characters you know and love. Because they will be replaced by other characters. Additionally, I have no intention of doing what many authors have been doing by just doing the same thing but characters swap with each other. No, these characters are from another series. A series that share the same genre and similar themes.
You know what, fuck it. I really need to do a better job at building suspense.
(turns to the back of the room) Bring out the stars!
Naruto: Hey, what's up?
Hinata: H-hello there.
Yep. Naruto characters will be replacing the Fairy Tail ones. This includes manga, anime, games, and movies. Almost every character will be used from those types of media in order to fill out the MASSIVE number of roles that Fairy Tail has.
In other words, Fairy Tail characters will be replaced by Naruto characters. Some will be obvious, most… closest things I got. The swaps are done by the number of similarities that characters from both series possess.
Naruto: Guess that explains why I have to be Natsu.
Hinata: I-I hope to be someone that Lucy can be proud of.
I'm sure you can. Anyway, these two will be replacing Natsu and Lucy, because both characters would be the main couple of both series. In fact, Natsu and Naruto are the main protagonists, so it is pretty much mandatory.
I will warn you that there will be some OOC characterizations. Not every characterization would be as strong or completely faithful to what they were in the Naruto canon, mostly because I want to combine some character elements of both canon and replacement series. So please bear with me. If you don't like it, then make your own or just don't read it.
Fox Tail will be rated T.
Alright then! First chapter, first disclaimer. Naruto and Hinata, you know what to do.
Naruto: Alright then. SmashBro25 doesn't own the plot of Fairy Tail nor the characters of my series, you know.
Hinata: They both belong to Hiro Mashima and Masashi Kishimoto.
Thank you both. Now let the story BEGIN!
Chapter 1: First Encounters
It was a sunny day in the kingdom of Konoha. People walking around and conversing, shops bustling and teeming with life, and the sound of a train bell whistling all throughout the kingdom. The source of the bell comes from Naka City, where the train was stopping to drop off passengers, who were busy interacting or breathing the fresh air that Konoha had to offer.
Not for these two particular passengers, and for different reasons.
One passenger, a young spiky blonde man wearing orange and black clothes with whiskers marked on his face was lying there on the floor of one of the passenger cars. His companion, a small orange fox with nine tails and black markings on his face and ears, stood beside him with an annoyed look on its face. Other passengers were looking at the two with weird expressions, mostly the fox, particularly because he stood on his two hind legs.
"Naruto." The fox poked him. "Come on, get up. We have arrived at Naka City." The fox still poked at the unconscious Naruto. "Let's leave before I become even more uncomfortable."
And the fox talked. Additionally abnormal and strangely unique amongst people of his species. The inspector, who just arrived on one the cars, took notice of Naruto's condition. "Excuse me, but will he be okay?" he asked with a concerned tone of voice.
"Oh, he'll be fine soon." The fox assured him, while subtly hiding his annoyance. "Unfortunately for me, he has a reputation for motion sickness."
"Well, sorry for asking then." The inspector replied sheepishly. "Since you have been around him the most, I thought you would be used to it by now."
"Deal with him as long as I have, and you will know my pain soon enough."
"Never again." Naruto moaned as he slowly got up. "I'll never ride on a train again. For as long as I live." He said that in between panting.
"Well, then hurry up soon. This train is making me uncomfortable." The fox yelled.
"You say that every time, Kurama." Naruto tried to counter back, but he didn't have the verbal strength. "Just let me catch my breath, you know."
"Alright then, but don't blame me if you miss out on finding the Yellow Flash." Kurama complied. "According to our reports, he should be somewhere around Naka City."
"Finally." Naruto panted as he slowly dragged himself out the train.
"For someone who can't wait to reach the solid ground, you sure move very slowly, Naruto." The fox snarked while walking away. "We need to hurry if we are to have a chance of finding him."
Unfortunately for Kurama, he heard the train whistling again, signifying its inevitable departure.
"Not again!" Naruto yelled as the doors closed on him. He poked his head out of one of the windows. "Kurama, help! Get me out of this thing!" He yelled in despair as the train moved away.
The fox just facepalmed to himself and shook his head. One of these days, he's going to be the death of me. Kurama thought to himself as he had to save Naruto from the abominable train… for the Hagoromo-knows-how-many-time in his life.
Meanwhile, in the actual city portion of Naka, a young, white-eyed, black-haired woman was taking her first step as an aspiring ninja. This woman was named Hinata Heartfilia. She stopped at the ninja shop in order to find something nice for her friends, who were taking the same steps as her, before meeting them at Ichiraku. Unfortunately for her, she would not be getting good news any time soon.
"Hold on a moment." Hinata said, "You mean to tell me this is the ONLY ninja shop here?"
"Sadly, yes." Frowned the shopkeeper, a blue haired man with a tattoo on his face (Think Jellal Fernandes). "The people here are more civilian than ninja. So there isn't much room for any extra ninja shops."
"Great." She sighed to herself. She had a gray shirt, with shorts of the same color, as well as a white and purple jacket covering the shirt. "And here I thought I would actually make some progress on my path."
"Not that that's a bad thing." The shopkeeper assured her. "This shop itself is actually known for some rare artifacts. In fact, I have something that should fit for what you are looking for."
As he said this, he looked at the chest behind him, tossing items that didn't fit what he was looking for randomly on the floor.
"Here it is." The shopkeeper said, and he presented to her some sort of book. "Ninja Magic for Teens. Should have all of the magic needed for you and your group."
"Oh, thank goodness, I thought I would be a goner." She mumbled to herself.
"Fair warning, though. There are many different types of magic, some of which haven't been seen since centuries ago. So, you have to pick which magic you want for yourself."
"Okay, I get that part." She said to him. "But any other things I should know?"
"Yes, just one more actually." The shopkeeper said. "You can't learn every single spell there. The magics described in this book is meant for one person each. In other words, pick one magic, and give the rest to your friends. Too many magics for one person can actually kill him or her from the inside."
"Yikes." She cringed. "If that doesn't teach me to be careful, I don't know what will."
"They all say that." He mumbled to himself.
Not hearing what he said, she asked, "How much is it worth?"
"Well, due to the contents and everything, I'm afraid it will have to be…50000 Ryo."
"50 Grand for one book?!" Hinata was close to gaping. "This has to be a joke!" She took a look at the object before her, hoping for something that could help her out. "It said here that it costs way less than that."
"I swear I can explain…"
Not long after that, Hinata left in a huff, complete with the book and steam exiting her ears.
"Finally!" She said to herself as she left. "No wonder there aren't any other ninja stores here. If this is what I have to pay for, I have to ask for—"
She stopped as she bumped into two random girls as she walked down the sidewalk.
"It's him!" One of the girls screamed with excitement. "It's the Yellow Flash!"
"I heard that he once took down an entire guild in five minutes!"
"You wouldn't believe what I heard of him!" Said another girl right next to them. "He has very rare lightning magic that stores can't possibly own!"
"Yellow Flash?" Hinata said to herself with a confused look on her face. She then looked at the book herself. "Hmm. Maybe I can find out what sort of spells this thing has first."
"Two times." Naruto groaned to himself and his companion. "I can't believe I was stuck on that train two times, you know."
"Well, next time you should walk faster." Kurama snarked. "Then you wouldn't have had to avoid your fate and have me bail you out again."
"Yeah, yeah. We both know when that would happen." Naruto snarked back. Dealing with the nine-tailed fox would do that to him. "So this Yellow Flash people are talking about. It has to be Minato, you know. Only man I know with that nickname."
"It might be." Kurama replied. "It's like you told me, Yellow Flash was his most famous moniker when he was around. So we are going to need a plan once we run into him again."
"Well, you know the first thing I'm gonna do when I see him again." Grinned Naruto. "Run up to him, hug him, cry my eyes out. More or less the familial stuff. Maybe we could catch some ramen on the way."
"Better add some veggies with that, too." Replied the fox. "I'm sure Minato would want you to be at your best. Maybe I could scratch his face for you for poofing out like a Shadow Clone."
"Do that, and I'll have you declawed." The blonde threatened with a smirk on his face. "Vets would sure love a nine-tailed fox as a patient." He knew how to bite back at Kurama when he needed to.
"Duly noted." Reluctantly sighed Kurama.
Not long after their conversation ended, the two took notice of an increasing number of squealing and screaming as a crowd full of women as they reached the Naka Fountain Shrine, all of them screaming. "Mr. Yellow Flash!" or "I love you, Yellow Flash!"
The blonde and fox looked at each other and nodded, each of them thinking the same thing.
Mission accomplished, both of them thought with serious faces.
On a different side of the shrine, Hinata walked closer and closer to the crowd out of curiosity, with the book in her hand. Pushing people out of the way, she stopped still for a moment and saw what she thought was the cutest and dreamiest man in the Five Great Kingdoms.
The man had shoulder length white hair and blue eyes, with a dark opened vest that showed his abs and equally dark pants. On his back was a large shuriken with one pointed edge laying close to the back of his hair. Lightning flickered from each of his fingers, making the fangirl crowd squeal even louder than usual.
"Ladies, time I showed you the power of lightning!" Yellow Flash announced to them with a lecherous grin to his face, but the squealing stayed at the same volume. The only one who didn't squeal, Hinata, felt her heart beating, taking small steps closer to him without her even realizing it. That was when a loud scream came through to her, but not from one of the fangirls.
"Minato!"
The scream came from someone next to her, a spiky blonde male with orange clothes and whisker markings on his cheeks stormed through the crowd with his companion, a nine-tailed fox on two legs. "I've been looking everywhere, you know! Why didn't you tell us where you were?" He asked him as he ran through the crowd.
Naruto and Kurama stopped as soon as they reached Yellow Flash. Confused looks ran through their faces as the former asked him, "Hey, who're you?"
Yellow Flash could only twitch his eyebrows, while the crowd of fangirls simply glared at the two for their lack of manners. Hinata, however, broke free of her love trance, as she saw the reason behind it on the white-haired male's left pinky finger. Her face turned to disgust after figuring out what happened to her.
The Yellow Flash meanwhile recovered from his state of eyebrow-twitching and calmed himself down. He gave a false smile to the two strangers and explained, "If I said I'm the true face of this "Minato" you speak of, would that help – Where are you going?" He changed sentences and facial expressions when Naruto and Kurama simply walked past him, the former with his head hung down.
"I can't believe that wasn't him." Naruto said forlornly. The fangirls grew angrier with Naruto with each second, but as they ran by to attack him, they were stopped by Yellow Flash, who zipped by them separating the fangirls from the blonde.
"Calm down, girls. He didn't mean it." He said with some sort of sincerity in his voice. He took out a piece of paper and signed his name on it, giving it to Naruto. "Here's my autograph. Not every day you see yourself with a celebrity. Now go and brag to your friends."
"Thanks, I guess." Naruto replied, hoping to break the tension between the two. "But what do I really do with this?" He asked in confusion. Kurama just facepalmed to himself, wondering what he did to deserve his partner's stupidity.
Unfortunately, the fangirls managed to throw them out of the crowd without interference from Yellow Flash. Naruto and Kurama quickly managed to get up again. "Should've known better than that." Naruto moaned to himself, while Kurama quietly patted him on the back.
"We'll find him someday." The fox comforted him, hoping that his partner would be alright. He was angry that this Yellow Flash had sullied Minato's moniker, but he didn't show it to his partner.
As for the Yellow Flash, he just zipped away, much to the delight of the fangirls, disappearing like, well, a yellow flash of lightning.
"So what was with that impostor anyway?" Kurama asked, while trying to restrain his emotional venom from seeping in. "The nerve of that man—"
"He's a real jackass, huh." A raven-haired girl approached the two travelers. She had a smile on her face as she said, "Thanks for helping me out with him."
"Don't mention it." Naruto smiled back.
"Did he do anything to hurt you?" The fox asked her. "We were just handling some personal business; I don't know what exactly he did myself
The girl gaped in amazement at what she just saw. "Wait a minute, are you a talking fox?!"
"Of course I am," Kurama said to her in a serious tone. "All Exceeds like me can talk."
"Yeah, that happens a lot." Naruto explained to her. "We'll explain it as best we can. Exceeds are a unique species of animals with human like capabilities, mostly walking on two legs and talking. That tends to weird people out a lot."
"That would have to be annoying to deal with." She said in an empathetic tone.
"Don't worry about it." Kurama smiled. "I'm more used to that than other habits."
"Well, are you used to people offering lunch?" She asked the two. "I was just meeting some friends of mine at Ichiraku. Maybe I could introduce you to them."
The two just grinned in excitement, especially Naruto. (He loves ramen after all).
When they actually reached Ichiraku, that was when the jaws started dropping, particularly from the blonde and fox. Hinata took them a massive table with twelve different people sitting in separate chairs. Six boys and six girls were sitting and waving, one of them in particular, a white-haired purple eyed male with pointy teeth and a purple tank top, having hearts in his eyes as soon as he saw Hinata.
"Hey, you look dazzling today." He said in a lovey-dovey tone. "The room just ain't complete without ya."
"Oh, hush, Suigetsu." A dark-skinned female with red spiky hair told him. "Do you have to make her uncomfortable every time she so much as breathes?"
"Troublesome." Another male muttered. This one had a pineapple shaped haircut with small earrings and a green flak jacket. "Just let her be. She already had enough trouble as is."
"I doubt he would actually listen." Grinned yet another male, this time with spiky blue hair, blue skin, gills on his cheeks, and pointy teeth similar to Suigetsu. He turned to Hinata, Naruto, and Kurama. "And she brought company too. This day is turning to be interesting after all."
"Wait, company?" Another female asked him. She had green hair tied in a single bun, with orange hair framing the sides of her face. She looked at Naruto with some sort of suspicion. "Huh, seems we have another member. Least it evens out the guys side for a while."
"He'll be with us for a little bit." Hinata told her. "He actually helped me out when running into the Yellow Flash."
"Ugh, that Yellow Flash creep." Groaned yet another female, this time with long red hair and a green dress and a white shirt underneath. "I don't see the big deal behind that guy."
Hinata noticed Naruto's grimace when the Yellow Flash mentioned.
"Yeah, I'd recommend being careful with that, Kushina." Hinata warned cautiously. "And that would be the reason why I took him with me."
"Good for you," Said Kushina with a grin, "But aren't you going to introduce him?"
"Oh, yeah, nice to meet you guys." Naruto said. "My name is Naruto Dragneel." He carried Kurama and showed him to everyone. "And this guy's Kurama."
"Just hurry this up. We don't have all day." Kurama rolled his eyes, and Hinata could just guess the reactions.
"Yeah, he can talk. More details later." Hinata dismissed them.
"Well, only fair that we meet the new kid." Suigetsu said. "Anyway, my name is Suigetsu Leorio. Ladies man of the extraordinaire."
"Yeah, sorry about him." The redhead said. "Anyway, my name is Karui Arielle."
"Shikamaru Kavoura." The pineapple head waved.
"And I'm the aspiring scorcher, Pakura Vergito." The greenette introduced herself. She turned to a heavily bandaged man, who only had his eyes and nose exposed. "And the mummy here is Mu Gemini."
"I can introduce myself, thank you." Mu dismissed her. "And quit calling me a mummy!"
"Then take off the freaking bandages." A woman with messy brown hair and red fang marks told him. "Anyway, Tsume Lykos. Nice to meet ya."
"My name is Sasori Kentri." Said another young man with short red hair. "And let's just get the introductions over with."
"Okay, geez." Said another woman with catlike eyes and short black hair. "Kurotsuchi Toxotis. And the other three are Kakuzu Filagyria." She pointed to a masked man with red and green eyes. "Hotaru Isoroppia." She then pointed to a girl with wavy blonde hair and dark green eyes. "And lastly, the man-shark, Kisame Karcharias." She pointed at the gilled man.
"And I'm Kushina Ophicius." The female redhead shouted. "Nice to meet ya."
Naruto just blinked at the sight of the people. "Yeah, you guys too."
After a few minutes of waiting on their food, much to Sasori's annoyance, they managed to get some important details out of the way. "So you bought this book for your friends, and it has all of this type of magic." Naruto said. "Any idea which one you all want to learn."
"Well, so far, I haven't managed to read it yet, but I'm sure we'll figure something out." Hinata said to her friends.
"You haven't read it yet?" Sasori asked her. "Unsurprising. I don't really need a type of magic. Where I come from, our clan has a unique magic."
"Yeah, I'm sure it'll be great for entertaining kids someday." Kushina teased.
"Hmm." Mu said as he grabbed the book, turning to some pages. "It seems that this magic could be of use to us. Particle Magic sounds like an interesting choice."
"Hey, I'll take some Scorch magic if that book has it." Pakura yelled.
"Sure is an eclectic group." Naruto said with a sweat drop. He turned to Hinata as the rest began talking about the book. "Anyway, what was with the Yellow Flash?"
"He was using charm magic. That probably explains the behavior of those stalkers of his."
"Charm magic?" Kurama asked her, then pondered in deep thought. "I've heard of that magic. The Magic Council forbade people from using it five years ago. Now I hate that guy even more." The fox started to growl at the thought.
"And then you guys showed up and broke me out of the trance." Hinata explained. "As for the book, I bought it because my friends and I are hoping to be ninja mages ourselves. We are fairly good with magic, but we need to be stronger in order to join this really famous guild. Unless it ends up being impossible regardless."
"I'm sure they'll let you guys in." Naruto said. "You all got the camaraderie for a guild. If not, I'm sure you can just make your own."
"Well, thanks for that advice. What about you guys? I heard you shouting a name."
"He did." Kurama pointed at him. "The person's name is Minato. He's a man of skill and speed. We came here because there were rumors of him being here. The rest is self-explanatory."
"Well, the appearance thing can be easily checked out." Hinata deduced. "Knowing Naruto, this guy would have to share some features of him." "Well, thanks for everything guys. Kakuzu can pay up for you guys. I've got to get going."
"Wait." Naruto said and touched her shoulder. "We haven't really thanked you yet."
"Don't worry too much about it." She smiled. "You saved me so we're pretty much even."
"Can't I at least take you and your friends where I work? I'm a ninja mage myself, you know."
"Really?" She said, awed by Naruto's offer. "Well…I.." She thought for a few moments before coming to an answer. "Go ahead and do it. I'll take the risks."
"Awesome! Guess I'll see you soon."
And with a nod of acceptance, Hinata Heartfilia left Ichiraku, leaving behind Naruto and her friends, complete with a bitching Kakuzu.
"I can't believe I have to pay." He muttered to himself.
"You lost the bet, now suffer the consequences." Mu snarked.
Outside the restaurant, Hinata was seen reading the Ninja Monthly, reading about her favorite guild's exploits. It seems that the Fox Tail guild has been at it again, causing havoc and property damage wherever they go.
"Oh, Fox Tail." Hinata laughed to herself. "You guys are too over the top for your own good. And I love every second of it." She sighed afterwards. "Part of me hopes that boy will take me there, but they must have some sort of conditions."
"Seems to me that you would fulfill the requirements perfectly." Said Yellow Flash as he popped his head from behind a bush.
"Great, we meet again!" Hinata rolled her eyes.
"Aw come on, don't be like that, girlie." Yellow Flash responded. "I didn't see you when I made the announcement on the Naka Shrine. Wouldn't really be much a party without you in my yacht."
"Thanks, but I'll pass." She sneered. "And charm magic won't make me say otherwise."
And she's a smart one. Love that quality. Yellow Flash thought to himself. "Well then, since you aspire to be a ninja mage so much, I'll help you out. I'll free you from the yacht party, and in return you keep quiet about the charm incident. In addition, I'll let you join Fox Tail."
"You'll let me join Fox Tail?" Hinata asked him. "Really?" She started to form a smile around her lips.
"Well, I am a member of the guild. And the Master would be happy to take you in. All good words from this mouth, no charm."
Hinata debated to herself whether to believe him or not, especially since Naruto gave her a similar offer. But before she could give him an answer, a voice burst out amongst the area the two were at.
"Earth Make: Prison!"
A cage made of rock appeared below Yellow Flash, but he managed to dodge it effortlessly. The user of this magic was revealed to be Kakuzu, who joined up with Naruto, Kurama and company. Naruto had a stern expression on his face once he saw the Yellow Flash.
"Two encounters in one day, huh." The mystery flash said. "Look, the girl and I have places to be, so pictures have to go later, blondie."
"I'm not here for a picture." Naruto answered. "I just want to know what you really plan with her."
"Give it a rest already will you?" Yellow Flash said, "I've gotten this a lot of jealous husbands and boyfriends, so just let it go." He turned and saw Kakuzu and the others, while laughing afterwards. "And you went and got an entourage. Ninja mages these days must be really pathetic if they are sending thirteen people against one guy."
"They aren't just backup, they're my friends as well." Naruto told him. "And you're not getting your creepy pinky near her."
Creepy pinky? Mu and Pakura thought in unison. That's the best he could come up with?
Yellow Flash just glared at the blonde. "Like I'll ever tell you my true plans." He sneered. "And you and the rest of your buddies at Fox Tail won't be seeing her at all once I'm done with her."
Thank goodness I hesitated when I did. Hinata cringed mentally. All the more reason why I could've refused his offer. Her eyes widened as she remembered something in his last sentence. And he called him…That means Naruto is in Fox Tail himself.
"Fox Tail?" Naruto growled. "That's what you did, huh? You smeared the good names of my guild… just for the sake of sex?" He became even angrier at the thought of the Yellow Flash's actions. "It's scum like you that really make me sick. Now I won't have to worry about beating you senseless!"
Lightning flickered through Naruto's hands as he looked ready to throw something at him. "Lightning Beast's Shuriken!"
The lightning created the shape of a giant shuriken. Naruto threw it at the Yellow Flash, who barely managed to dodge it. Unfortunately, the shuriken managed to hit one of the yachts… The Yellow Flash's yacht to be specific. Millions of people were beginning to scream.
"You guys go ahead and save those people!" Naruto told the others. "I'll handle this bastard myself."
"No need to tell us twice." Shikamaru told him. The other twelve used their ninja speed to save them, along with some new magic powers.
"Shadow Make: Giant Fishnet!" Shikamaru commanded as he made a giant fishnet out of shadow, saving some people.
"Hair Extension Pole Arms!" Kushina yelled as her hair extended into polearms, carrying people with them.
"String Possession: Flotation!" Sasori yelled as he created invisible strings. The strings made the people float from the yacht to the ground. The ground where Naruto and Yellow Flash kept fighting.
"Oh, you little punk!" Yellow Flash sneered. "Thunder Whip!" Yellow Flash created a whip made of lightning, which Naruto managed to dodge… and devour into his body for some reason. Everyone except Kurama just stood there in shock and awe, while the nine-tailed fox stood in amusement
"Not today!" He created a familiar ball made of lightning energy and carried it on one of his hands. "Lightning Beast Rasengan!"
Naruto slammed the ball onto Yellow Flash's chest, sending him flying to one of the trees nearby. Although the latter managed to recover, it was just in time to see his plans unravel before him.
"No. Damn you, you lightning brat!" Yellow Flash screamed. "You ruined everything! Don't you know how long it took to gather all these people here?!" He began to scowl at Naruto and get his shuriken ready. "For a pack of brats and a rabid fox, you guys sure know how to screw a poor man over!"
"And for someone claiming to be the Yellow Flash, you sure know how to act tall with nothing to show for it." Naruto taunted him.
"You are just asking me to kill you, aren't you?!" He sneered at him.
"Nope." The blonde smiled. "Just showing you who you're really messing with!" Naruto turned to his companion. "Kurama, protect Hinata! This is something she might not want to see yet!"
"As if I'm staying behind!" Hinata yelled at him. She walked next to him, and at that second she summoned a mystical blue aura surrounding her hand. She got into a fighting stance surrounding Yellow Flash
"Gentle Step Shinken: Twin Lion Fists!" Hinata yelled as she thrusted her hands at Yellow Flash, who attempted to parry it with his shuriken. Though despite the effort his shuriken broke, leaving him defenseless.
That should leave him defenseless. Hinata thought with a confident smirk. The poser was not so amused as she was ready to attack her, but before he could do anything Naruto stood by.
"This should be warning enough!" Naruto yelled as he put his hands up over his face. One of the hands had a red mark of a fox tail at him. Although he didn't know it, this had confirmed Hinata's initial thoughts about his status as a Fox Tail member. Lightning crackled all over his body, as Hinata, Kurama, and the others stood by, with Suigetsu trembling in fear, and Kisame smirking from the sight before him.
"What even is that?!" Suigetsu shouted. "I could've been zapped to death!"
"You should be more careful from now on." Kurama warned him. "Naruto is what is known as a jinchuriki, someone who uses Beast Magic regarding certain elements. Beast Magic is something that can be used to control and devour elements, with Naruto's being lightning. Minato taught him that magic."
"So it is true after all." Kisame smirked. "He really is Yellow Flash Naruto of Fox Tail. Now I'm hoping for an autograph."
"Intriguing." Kakuzu nodded in some form of approval. His mask made it hard to tell his expressions sometimes.
"So cool! We actually get to see Naruto!" Hotaru yelled in excitement. "The Naruto Dragneel! My dream has come true!"
"Badass, not going to lie." Pakura said. Hinata and Kushina just smiled in awe of Naruto's true power.
"Hope you all are ready for this!" Naruto told everyone behind him. "Lightning…Beast's…" He thrusted his hand backwards as lightning spewed from his mouth. "ROOOAARRR!"
A beam of lightning spewed from Naruto's mouth, and the Yellow Flash was just left screaming and dancing around, not knowing what to do. The blast hit Yellow Flash, sending him flying away, but not before causing some sort of damage.
Afterwards, Naruto looked at what he just did. "Guess I got carried away." Naruto chuckled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.
He and the gang walked up to the where the Yellow Flash was attempting to get up. Unfortunately, Kurama managed to pin him down.
"Now who are you?" he growled. "Tell me the truth! Now!"
Yellow Flash sighed. "You got me. Truth be told, I've never even seen a Fox Tail member throughout my entire life. That is until the lightning boy showed up."
"Great and all, but that doesn't really answer anything."
"My true name is Mizuki! Okay! I was just lying to everyone here to get some women for my boss. The guy never really had enough of a harem to call it a day."
"Mizuki?" Karui raised an eyebrow. "Why have I heard that name before?"
"I definitely have." Sasori piped in. "He is best known as Mizuki the Hyena. A formidable shuriken and lightning magic user, and a banished member of the Thunder Cloud guild."
"That explains it." Karui added. "Using charm magic and his shuriken to aid in various murders across the kingdom of Oto."
"Guess I should have known that from the beginning." Naruto said. "But right now, I can't have you in a position where you can defile Fox Tail's name anymore."
"Do your worst, monster boy." Mizuki taunted. "I wonder what Fox Tail punks like yourself are really capable of."
"Consider your wish granted." Naruto said.
He made a fist, again crackling with a tiny bit of lightning. Mizuki shivered at what he was going to do "Lightning Beast's Fist!" He jabbed Mizuki in the face to the point that he was unconscious. Now with Mizuki left lying on the floor, all that remained was for the police to get him.
"Hehehe." Naruto laughed. "That was pretty easy."
"You don't say." Kushina deadpanned.
After a brief pause, Mu began to say the wrong thing. "Any idea what we're going to do with the pier?"
"I'm sure my Master has thought up of something." Naruto responded. "But right now, we got to go. Magic Council's gonna hammer us if we don't leave soon." He and Kurama ran away with everyone else following him.
"Not to sound pessimistic or anything," Suigetsu began as they kept running, "but any idea where we're even going?"
"Didn't I promise to take Hinata to my guild?" Naruto asked him.
"Yeah, you did, but what about us?" Hotaru asked him. "Wherever she goes, we go to." Everyone else stood in agreement to them.
"Well, by her, I meant all of you." Naruto told them. Hinata and her friends widened their eyes at what he just said.
"I know what that means." Kurotsuchi said, saying what everyone else was already thinking.
"Yep. We're going to the Fox Tail guild." Naruto said. And with that, everybody cheered along the way.
"Guess we're starting a new chapter of our lives." Hinata told them.
"So let's go."
And done. Apologies for the length of this chapter. It was long, but hopefully it was worth it.
What do you two think:
Naruto: Awesome! Can't wait!
Hinata: I like my portrayal so far.
Yep, and I plan to make Hinata more confident in future chapters, so no need to worry about that. Any questions:
Mu: Yeah, why am I even here?
Pakura: I second the Tsuchikage's question.
Hotaru: Same with Pakura.
Oh, I was getting to that soon. So these twelve random characters I introduced will be replacing the Zodiac Celestial Spirits. This story idea and character roster was done a little bit before I figured out how the spirits work in Fairy Tail canon, so once again I apologize for that. Also, I am not doing Celestial Spirit magic, because I don't really think it's necessary for what I am trying to create. This new group may be filler to you, and I can understand why you think that, but I've made up my mind.
Additionally, I like some of the characters in the canon series, mostly Pakura and Mu. This is done mainly to expand their characterization than what Kishimoto gave the Naruto community.
Suigetsu: Well, at least most of us are in character.
Kisame: I actually like my role. Who would've thought being a good guy in the story could be fun?
Sasori and Kakuzu: I didn't.
Kushina: Love my role!
Hotaru: Could be improved upon.
Shikamaru: Worth my time.
Naruto (hugs author): Thank you, thank you for giving my mom a role in the story! I'm so happy (cries in happiness).
Don't worry about it. Kushina's one of my faves, and I always planned for her to be spared.
Kushina: Thank Hagoromo.
Pakura: You and me both.
Oh, and to get this out of the way. Jinchuriki in this fic is more or less Dragon Slayer in Fairy Tail canon. Only things that change are some of the characters, and elements. So jinchuriki in this story will not suffer from discrimination. AT ALL.
Naruto: Least now I feel good about being one.
Also, characters will receive different moves and powers in order to make them feel unique and not just copy paste their moves from Naruto canon. Ironic considering I'm copy-pasting the Fairy Tail plot.
Shikamaru: Let's hope we're not sued for it.
Well, I did say it was risky, and there are a lot of Subspace Emissary and Injustice fanfics that replace characters with different ones, so we should be fine.
Leave a review, put in constructive criticism if you see it, and all flames will be fuel for Pakura's Scorch Style.
Pakura: I don't think I'm a flame-eater.
Well for the commentary, you are now. Hope you liked it!
