Thank you to the people who liked and followed this story, here's the second chapter.

10 years later..

Michiko Osamu had never planned on being a single mother as a child. She had always wanted to get married to a loving man, have a beautiful child- one was more than enough for her- and live happily in a medium-sized home with her little family. Well two of those things had happened and she couldn't be more grateful. She had met and fell in love with the most wonderful man in her college years, they had later gotten married. It turned out he also happened to be the heir to a multi-billion dollar company, that he had asked her to help manage since she had the proper qualifications.

Later in life they had their perfect little boy who was the perfect combination of them both. He had his mother's incredible intellect and people skills, he got his tenacity and passion from his father, and had inherited both their good looks. At that point she couldn't have been more happy.

Then she had lost him. Her husband had been caught in the crossfire of a villian attack and killed by one of them. That had broken her, when her brother had tried to reach out to her she cut him off- cut the world off.

Her saving grace was, of course, her baby boy. He had helped her through her grief, ignoring his own pain in favour of taking away hers. He really was his father's son. He had looked after her and helped her reconnect with the world, for that she was eternally grateful.

Though she was starting to think mabye she should just kick him out of the house every weekend. His early morning spars were what had her up at 5 in the morning, on a SATURDAY! It had been two hours since they started and she hadn't even blinked since then ( at least she thought she hadn't). She was thoroughly convinced she could beat her little brother in a staring contest after this, she had the bags under her eyes as proof of her 'practice'."When I get down there he better hope he can fight his mother!" she sleepily growled into her pillow. She groaned when she heard somebody screaming.

"ALRIGHT, BRING IT ON, LEVI!" Kasai yelled at his friend with a bloodthirsty grin. He always got a little to hyped during their weekly spars.

"Dude, will you calm down? We literally haven't even started yet, besides your gonna wake up my mom." Levi stated in an exasperated tone getting into his stance.

The four boys had grown, not just taller but they now were lean and muscular from their martial arts training.

"Ready?" Yama asked in a deep, monotone voice. He had grown the most of his friends. He was packed with muscle, not like All Might or Endeavour, but still, and was 6 feet tall now, making Kasai jealous of his height.

"YES!" Both boys screamed excitedly.

"Begin, then." Yama said walking away.

Levi rushed his friend knowing he would probably freeze him with his shadow paralysis, but he wasn't going to get caught in that. Not again. Kasai saw it coming though and rushed to meet his friend halfway. He threw the first punch but it was dodged, Levi used the opening to jab a fist into his opponent's side. Kasai staggered slightly but recovered, Levi still punched harder than Yama, dammit. Levi made a 'bring it on' motion with his hands. That pissed him off.

He went for a left hook to the face but Levi ducked under it, he was hoping that would happen. He brought his knee up to slam it into his sparring partner's chin, but it was blocked.

Levi was using his quirk to perfetly counter all his friend's attacks, he didn't really need it though, he was still more skilled than his friend, but, better safe than sorry. While he was still holding the knee aimed at his face, he swept Kasai's leg out from under him. As he was falling, Kasai activated his quirk and fell into his shadow. Oh no. Levi smirked at his friend's quick thinking.

Kasai knew Levi couldn't use his quirk if he couldn't see his target. He was gonna use all the chances he could get.

Now running around in his own shadow, he could move as quick as one as well, jumping from place to place. Levi knew Kasai was just trying to throw him off with this, but he had a contingency plan in case something like this happened...again.

Levi closed his eyes and... focused. He focused on his surroundings, his opponent and he sharpened his own senses. ' If I can't see, I listen, I feel.' Levi said to himself.

"Hey, what's Levi doing? Is he going to try and lure him out?" Izuku asked, he was scribbling in his little notebook about Kasai's stunt when he looked up to see Levi just...standing there, with his eyes closed no less. What was he doing?

" I don't know, but if he is closing his eyes it will only delay his reaction time." Yama stated calmly.

Levi was blocking out everything focusing on his target's poistion.

He remembered what his Trainer had taught him.

"First you have to learn to rely on your other senses, not just your eyes, Young Master'. Franklin, the butler/ his trainer/ a badass, said. ' If your opponent cannot be seen they can be heard." Franklin stated as he hit Levi's back.

"I don't see the point in having to rely on my-"

"Next," Franklin interuppted, eliciting a growl from the youth. "You must defend, vital areas, pressure points, limbs, knockout points."

"How am I supposed to defend myself if I can't see?'"Levi growled. This really seemed stupid to him, to fight without your eyes was almost impossible.

The butler sighed. " You focus. Use your ears to hear the faintest sound, use your feet to feel the vibrations sent through the ground and most importantly, use your instinct. Now try again"

Levi could feel his friend moving around, he focused completely on those vibrations. Kasai jumped out of his shadow into the air, he went for a kick to the back of his opponent's head. Yes, yes, yes, fuckin' YES. HE WAS GONNA WIN. Then everything went all wrong.

On instinct, Levi turned around and doged his friend's kick and grabbed his leg. Levi drove his fist onto Kasai's abdomen, the latter spitting out some saliva, and using the momentum from the earlier kick slammed him onto the mat and pinned him.

"Levi wins." Yama said calmly, but he had a small smile on his face. Izuku on the other hand was practically vibrating and ran up to Levi asking about that last attack.

"LEVI!" They all ran away at that shout, the woman had awoken.

Monday eventually came and with it came its best friend, school. School wasn't the best of places for three of the four boys.

Kasai hated studying, he found it completely pointless to read from a textbook, he much preferred a more practical approach. Also Baka-go, even now, was an irritating shit stain.

Yama was not a fan of places he couldn't fall asleep in, especially when Bakugo wss always shouting.

Izuku was still facing quirkless discrimination, sure he had some self-confidence now but it still hurt, especially the comments from Kacchan.

Levi couldn't care less, he was literally untouchable here. The girls loved him, the guys respected him because of his humble nature and he was the only person who could have a normal conversation with Bakugo, they had respect for each other and never got into each other's path.

It was nearing the end of the day and Izuku, Kasai and Yama couldn't be more happy to go home, but before that...

"Alright everyone, you guys are third years now, it's time you start thinking seriously about your futures," Their homeroom teacher said, he was preparing some career assessment forms, but he threw them into the air with a smile. " but I know you all want to become heroes, right?" The class started cheering and showing off their quirks. All except five people.

"Oi, Sensei, don't lump me in with the rest of these losers, none of them are on my level." The class was quiet.

"Yeah, I agree with Baka-go," Kasai said, everyone was about to give them a piece of their minds until he spoke again. " No one in class is that weak, not even Izuku." The class was quiet for a full ten seconds, then everyone started laughing. A tick mark appeared on Bakugo's forehead.

"SHUT IT! I already aced UA's mock exams, so know I'm getting in, your dumbass probably failed everything, Kasai. And, don't. ever. compare. me. To that Deku." Bakugo said with such venom that Izuku could feel it in the air, it made him shiver.

"UA, huh, sounds familiar but I can seem to place my finger on it. Would you mind heping me out, Bakugo." Levi said. Was he really that clueless? Mabye Deku really affected their brain capacity.

"The number one hero school in Japan, the same school All Might went to." The ash-blonde explained.

"Oh, I forgot you were an All Might fanboy." Katsuki was visibly angered by that comment.

"That's right, Osamu, you got a recommendation right?" The class was completely silent. A student in their class got into UA, through recommendation no less. " Midoriya, you and your friends applied for U.A. together, right?"

At the mention of Midoriya going to U.A. the whole class started laughing and making fun of the boy. Bakugo, however was livid.

"You better not try to get in my way or you'll have hell to pay, Deku!" Bakugo threatened with a growl. With that, class resumed and the end of the day came with it.

Kasai streched as soon as he got up, hearing a few pops in his back. " Man, is it just me, or does school get more boring everyday?"

"It would probably be interesting if you paid attention man."

"No, Kasai is right, school sucks." Kasai wore a smug grin after Yama's comment.

" What's this, 'For the future', seriously, Deku?" One of Bakugo's cronies asked with a laugh. The bomb boy grabbed the book and used an explosion to burn said book. Izuku cried out as Katsuki tossed it out the window.

" If you really want a quirk I might have an idea for you. Why don't you take a swan dive off the roof and hope for one in your next life." Katsuki said with a maniac smile and walked away.

"Yo, Izuku, what was that about?" Levi asked. The others had only seen the ash-blonde boy leave their friend's table, they hadn't seen or heard what happened during their exchange.

"Oh, it's nothing, just Kacchan being...Kacchan." Izuku plastered on a smile they all saw through, but decided not pry. With that the boys walked out of their classroom and to their respective homes. "Um, I-I think I'm gonna...walk alone today." Izuku stated but didn't give his friends a chance to ask any questions, instead he ran to the koi pond, grabbed his notebook and left.

He couldn't let them see him cry, he couldn't let them see how weak he was, otherwise they would abandon him like everoyne else so...he ran.
