The following morning, the girls were part of a group going on a hike up the mountain trail.
"We're almost there, everyone, so keep up!" said the counselor from the front of the group.
"Where are we even going?" asked Zack Carter-Schwartz.
"No clue, the flyers never mentioned anything about hiking," said Miranda.
"That's because it's a brand-new activity and the camp was unable to update the flyers," said a counselor who ran up to them after hearing their conversation.
"But I promise that it'll be fun," she said.
"We're here!" called out the lead counselor who was standing at a plateau ahead of the others.
"Whoa," said Melina Bianco who was standing next to Matt. Once everyone had reached the top, they looked out at a vast flower field which had a small gazebo built in the middle.
"When this field was discovered by the camp owner he planned to make it a hiking destination," said the lead counselor.
"But it took some time because he did not want to disturb the land too much; however, he also wanted to make it a good resting area before the hikers went back down," said a male counselor.
"So a group of construction workers had to be extra careful while building the gazebo out in the middle of the flowers, all in all it took five years to make this place as it is now," said the lead counselor.
"I don't know if it's the exhaustion from the climb or what, but it is beautiful," said Matt.
"We'll rest here for a couple of minutes and then head back down," said the counselor who had talked to Miranda.
"And make sure you're careful while walking around and don't pick any of the flowers, we don't want to ruin the natural beauty of the area," said the male counselor.
"Darn, I was going to get one for you," said Jake to Addie.
"Aw, you're so sweet," said Addie. Everyone else just went their own way so they could rest.
