I was in my bedroom, waiting for my friends to arrive. My bedroom wasn't special. It had two PearBooks, a hospital bed, posters of movies and my celebrity crushes, and toys. I was listening to music until they arrived. My mom opened the front door and said "hello, you must be Mariah's friends. Please come in,"

"Thank you Misses..."

"Oh, no. I'm not married. Just call me Heidi,"

"Heidi," Tori smiled. They came in and walked into my bedroom.

"Hey, Mariah," Jade said. I turned around and saw her beautiful face. She was wearing a white dress with pink stains and she was holding scissors. I drove up to her.

"Oh my God. You actually brought the dress and the scissors," I said.

"Of course I did," she replied. We stared at each other for a while.

"Um guys?" Robbie said.

"Are we gonna have a party or what?" Rex asked.

"Oh yes," I snapped out of my trance. "Come on," I drove to the living room and they followed. "Sit on the couch if you want. My mom's cooking pizza," they sat on the couch.

"Pizza? That's so sweet of your mom," Jade said, playing with her scissors. I smiled.

"So, Mariah, have you made anymore songs?" Andre asked. I drove in front of the couch.

"I started writing one yesterday but it's not finished yet," I replied.

"Oh, I would love to hear it," Jade said, leaning on her elbows. I blushed. How was she so beautiful. She smiled. My mom walked in holding pizza.

"Pizza for Mariah's friends," she put the pizza on the table. "I'm gonna go out. Mariah, do you need anything?"

"No, mom. I'm fine," I replied. She left. "Let's get this party started, shall we?"

"Yeeeeah," Tori said. I drove to the TV and turned it on. I grabbed the DVD of The Scissoring and put it in the DVD player. I sat by the couch. I stared at Jade and she stared back. I opened the DVD remote app on my PearPad and tapped play.

"Ah, The Scissoring. My favorite movie," Jade said.

"Of course it's your favorite movie. You're demented," Tori replied.

"Oh I'm demented? Hi I'm Tori and I'm lucky Jade doesn't hit me," Jade mocked Tori. I giggled.

"You know, I'd like to see you try,"

"Oh?" Jade kicked her on the hardwood floor.

"Mariah!"

"What?" I asked.

"She kicked me!"

"Then get up," I giggled. She sighed and stood up.

"You're mean,"

"I'm not mean. Jade is and I'm just a innocent bystander,"

"Well, she's right," Jade said.

"Jade? Are you OK? Mariah just called you mean," Tori asked. Jade shrugged.

"C'mon, let's watch The Scissoring," she said. After the movie, Jade, Andre, Cat, Robbie, Rex, and Tori were trying to get me to sing.

"Sing for us, Mariah!" Cat said.

"Oh, I don't know," I replied.

"Please sing for us," Jade said, pushing her hair out of her face.

"Okay," I smiled. I tapped the notes app on my PearPad and opened my song. "This may be crazy

I may be out of my mind

But the way you look at me

I think you like me

Of course I may be being delusional

But I'm not gonna waste my time

Not knowing if you're gay or not

So mommy I'm just going to say this once

This may ruin our friendship

But what's life without you

Mommy what do you want

Are you just being nice to me

Or is there more

Mommy tell me

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things that won't happen

When you're all I want

All I need

Can I tell you my insecurities

You can tell me yours

But I'm not gonna waste my life

Not knowing if we could be girlfriends

If I can just ask you

Ask you

The sacred question

Will you be my girlfriend

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things I want to do

I'm gonna do them

I wonder about many things in my life

Who do I want to be

What do I want to be

But more importantly

Who's gonna be my girlfriend

My first kiss

I know it's crazy

But isn't this what all teenage girls think about

A girl who can sweep them off their feet

I know I do

I look at you and think

She's so beautiful

How can I get a girl like you

I hope you give me a sign

Because I

I have to have you

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things that won't happen

When you're all I want

All I need

Can I tell you my insecurities

You can tell me yours

But I'm not gonna waste my life

Not knowing if we could be girlfriends

If I can just ask you

Ask you

The sacred question

Will you be my girlfriend

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things I want to do

I'm gonna do them

You're living with free real estate in my head

When do I make you pay

When I stare at you

It's like nothing else exists

Nothing else matters

You're so beautiful that I can't think of anything else

It's like I'm addicted to you

I know you might think I'm crazy

Buuuuut it's true

Why wouldn't I say how I feel

WLW

Women love women

So I'm not gonna do nothing

I'm gonna get you

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things that won't happen

When you're all I want

All I need

Can I tell you my insecurities

You can tell me yours

But I'm not gonna waste my life

Not knowing if we could be girlfriends

If I can just ask you

Ask you

The sacred question

Will you be my girlfriend

I'm not gonna waste my life

Dreaming about things I want to do

I'm gonna do them" I looked up at them and they smiled.

"That was great, Mariah. Who was it about?" Andre asked.

"Oh...no one in particular," I shyly looked at Jade.

"C'mon. No one makes that type of song about no one," Rex said, Robbie moving his arm for emphasis.

"Well, I did," I shrugged.

"Alright," He replied.

"So what are we gonna do now?" Tori asked.

"I actually need to go home," Robbie said.

"Of course you do, Robbie," Rex replied. "Robbie's lame,"

"I am not lame! Guys, am I lame?" The gang started murmuring and putting their hands up.

"Fine," he left.

"I better get going," Andre said. "My grandma's probably worried sick about me,"

"OK. Bye Andre," I said. Soon, it was just Jade and I.

"I don't have anywhere to get to now. What are you gonna do now?" She asked.

"Probably watch SplashFace and listen to music," I replied.

"Can I join you? If it's not-"

"Of course. I mostly stay in my bedroom so let's go there," I went to my bedroom and she followed.
