Later, Mr Gold and the Professor were in the back room of the Pawnshop, with Henry, David and Regina. Henry was lying on the bed before Regina came over and sat on the edge. "I brought your blanket from your bedroom back home." She began to wrap it around Henry's body so he was comfortable.
"Thanks," Henry said, with a soft smile. "So, Cora. She's pretty powerful?"
The Professor nodded. "But, not as powerful as Rumple. Or me."
"Well, that's debatable," scoffed Regina as she folded her jacket.
"Actually, no. It's not," Mr Gold stated.
David walked past the others and sat on the edge of the bed. "You sure you're okay to do this, kid?" He asked his grandson.
"I was born to do this," Henry answered. "I'm done reading about Heroes. I wanna be one."
"Well, someone being one is knowing when not to run into the fire."
"I'll be okay."
"Look. Whatever Henry faces while in there, it will be far less dangerous than what he will face if we fail," Mr Gold stated.
"I can do this," Henry repeated.
David nodded and sighed. "Get on with it and fast," he told Mr Gold as he got up from the bed.
Mr Gold moved forward and sat down next to Henry. "All right, Henry. Just relax, and soon you're going to drift off."
"What do I tell them?" Henry asked.
"Just listen to my bedtime story, and all will be clear." He moved his left hand and placed it on Henry's forehead. "Once upon a time … Snow White and Prince Charming needed to stun a mighty magician long enough to lock him up in a dark dungeon."
"That was you," Henry stated. "They used Cinderella to trap you with a magic quill."
"Very good," the Professor praised.
Mr Gold waved his hand over Henry's face. "Indeed. And yet, it wasn't the quill itself but the ink that captured the Dark One. Harvested from the rarest species of squid from the bottom of a bottomless ocean. Impossible to find unless you're a mermaid. Or me. I happen to have a private supply." He began to move his hand up her head again as Henry began to fall into a deep sleep. "In my jail cell, that is where they will find it."
A few minutes later, Henry woke up from his deep sleep with a gasp, and everyone rushed over to him. "Henry? Are you all right?" David asked, rushing over to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Did you see her?" The Professor asked. "Did you tell her?"
Henry shook his head. "No. I didn't get the chance. Something … Something happened. She … She got sucked out of there." Henry began to sit up, but he winced in pain and clutched his left forearm.
Regina leaned over and had a look at Henry's arm. "Henry?"
"And some … Somethings's wrong," Henry continued, as Regina peeled back the sleeves of Henry's shirt and saw more burns on his arm.
"Henry …" Regina began, staring in shock at the sight.
A while later, Mr Gold was sitting on the bed, and he began to wave his hand over Henry's burnt arm. "Here. Let me take care of this," he said, his hand glowing purple as he healed Henry's forearm.
"What caused this?" Regina asked, looking up at Mr Gold.
"When you venture deeper into the netherworld instead of away, there are risks. Someone woke Aurora before her soul was ready to return. The violence of that act tore her away and injured Henry. We're lucky it wasn't worse. He's gonna need some time to recover before he can be sent back."
David shook his head. "Out of the question."
Regina looked back up. "Not a chance in Hell," she said at the same time.
David stood up. "We'd be monsters to even consider risking his life again."
"Careful with your tone, Charming," Mr Gold said, standing up – his hands resting in his cane in front of him. "I understand your concern for the boy, but I know Cora. Without our help, Snow and Emma will soon be dead. And then ..." he looked behind him at Regina before looking back, " … a true monster will be on her way to Storybrooke."
"Aurora is gone," Regina stated, standing up to face the others. "Why do we need to send Henry back to that fiery inferno with no one there to receive our message?"
The Professor looked back at the others, a smile on his face. "Who said we need to send anyone back there?" He asked. "I may know a way to bring home Snow and Emma and to stop Cora."
David looked back at the Time Lord. "You do?" He asked.
"Of course. We need to call my father."
