Cora and Hook stood at the nearly formed waters of Lake Nostros as they stared out at the gushing water before it settled. "And now, the ashes," Cora said, handing Hook the bottle of ashes she had collected from the remains of the wardrobe. "Would you care to do the honours?"
Taking the bottle, Hook pushed the cap off the bottle and sprinkled the purple powder into the water. The ashes flowed towards the pool's centre before the water roared, and a portal began to form—a vast whirlpool right in the centre.
"Here we go," Cora said with a smile. "We'll be in Storybrooke soon enough. I really look forward to seeing my daughter." Cora held out the compass to Hook. "I told you I'd deliver you to Rumplestilskin." Hook slowly took hold of the compass. "Now don't let go unless you want to end up someplace that isn't Storybrooke."
The two were about to jump into the pool when an arrow knocked the compass out of their hands. The two looked up to see Emma, Mary Margaret, Mulan, and the Doctor standing in the TARDIS doors. You're not going anywhere," Emma yelled from across the portal."
"The compass. Get it," Mary Margaret ordered, and all of them split up.
Cora leaned across to Hook. "Find it first," she said about the compass. "I'll take care of them."
Hook began to search behind them but was pursued by Emma, and the two started sword-fighting. Clashing their swords together, Emma kicked the pirate backwards. He got back up, aimed his sword at her, and engaged in the duel again until Emma lost her sword. She lunged at Hook, but Hook threw her behind his back.
Meanwhile, Cora conjured up a fireball and threw it at Mulan, only for Mulan to deflect it with her sword. Cora threw another fireball, but the Doctor aimed his sonic at it and made it dissipate in thin air. Mary Margaret aimed an arrow at Cora, but she missed when Cora disappeared in a cloud of smoke. It did, however, send the bag containing Aurora's flying across the portal, and Mulan stared over at it.
Just as it was going to go through the portal, Hook leaned back and caught it with his Hook. He leaned back up and threw the bag back over to a surprised Mulan. "I may be a pirate, but I bristle at the thought of a woman losing her heart . . . unless it's over me." Picking up his sword, he began to restart his duel against Emma.
The Doctor ran over to Mulan, holding his sonic screwdriver in his hand. "Go!" He ordered. "Aurora needs that heart."
"You need that compass," Mulan argued.
"That heart is more important."
Mulan nodded and handed the Doctor her sword. "Take it. It deflects magic. Like your wand," she said, as the Doctor took the sword and Mulan ran towards the cell where Aurora was.
"I had no idea you had such a soft side," Emma stated at Hook.
"I don't," Hook said, his sword at the ready. "I just like a fair fight." Their swords clashed again. "Good form. But not good enough." Emma began to kick her right leg at him, but it got caught in Hook's hook, and she fell over backwards.
Across the pond, Mary Margaret and the Doctor heard a whistle. They both turned around and saw Cora was standing behind them. Cora pretended to pounce, which made Mary Margaret jump and Cora chuckle.
Emma stared up at Hook, her sword trapped in Hook's hook as he leaned down. "Normally, I'd prefer to do other more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back. But with my life on the line, you've left me no choice. Bit of advice: when I jab you with my sword, you'll feel it. You might want to quit."
Emma moved her hands beneath the sand and felt something hard. The compass! She dug her fingers around it. "Why would I do that when I'm winning?" She asked and held the compass in her hand to show Hook.
Hook stared at it as Emma found some strength and kicked Hook backwards. Standing up, she approached the pirate and punched him down.
"Thanks. Now let's go home!" Emma said as she marched to join the Doctor and her mother. She ran over to Cora and began to draw her sword to Cora, but Cora poofed away.
"Back to the TARDIS!" the Doctor ordered as they began to run towards the blue box, but Cora blocked their path and magically pushed both Mary Margaret and Emma away.
Cora began to approach Mary Margaret, who stood up again. Emma began to stand up, but Cora pushed her back down with a wave of her hand.
"Why do you want to go to Storybrooke?" The Doctor asked, walking over to them. "What do you get from it?"
"My daughter needs me. And now I'm going to give her the one thing she's always wanted: her heart," Cora answered. "Goodbye, Snow." She began to reach into Mary Margaret's chest, but Emma pushed her out of the way, and it was Emma's chest that Cora reached her hand into.
"Emma!" Mary Margaret called out.
"Oh, you foolish girl. Don't you know? Love is weakness," Cora said. She began to pull the Heart from Emma, but it wouldn't budge. Cora looked at it in shock. She tried repeatedly.
"Love is a strength," the Doctor answered, walking closer to Emma and Cora.
A white light began to glow from Emma and created a blast, knocking out Cora and sent her flying back.
"What was that?" Emma asked.
"I don't know," the Doctor answered. "But, it is a great discussion. Now, let's get to Storybrooke."
