The year was 1892. A hole appeared in an alley in Victorian London. A hole connected to the Time Vortex, and the Professor, Belle and Strax popped out. Getting up slowly, the three of them stretched.

The Professor rubbed his back slowly and groaned. As did the rest of them. "Time travel without a capsule. Gets you every time."

Strax began to turn down the alley. "I suppose I should return to Madame Vastra. And her boyfriend, Jenny," Strax commented. "Would you like to come?"

Belle looked over at the Professor, who shook his head. "I don't think so," he replied. "I would like to look around a bit. If that's what Belle wants."

"I wouldn't mind exploring," Belle replied. A new place to explore and to have more adventures in. What else could she say?

"I'll see you around, Strax," the Professor said with a smile as he and Belle watched Strax walk off down the alleyway.

Belle looked up at the Professor. "Now what?" She asked.

"First, you need to change into proper Victorian clothes..." the Professor said, then looked around, making sure there was no one about. Once he was sure, he waved his hand and engulfed Belle in a whirl of blue smoke. Belle was in her blue dress with the white shirt and blue heels to match once the smoke had cleared around her. The Professor smiled at his work and started to walk off. "Coming, Belle?"

"Yes. I'm coming," she said, starting to walk off after him.

The Professor and Belle walked around for what seemed ages till they came to an Inn. The Rose and Crown. The Professor opened the door, and let Belle go in first, then he followed her in, and they both made their way to a table in the corner. Once they were seated, they began to wait for a waitress to serve them. One did, wearing a red dress with a red shawl.

"So ... What can I get for the lovely couple?" the waitress asked with a lovely smile.

"Oh, we're so not a couple," the Professor corrected. "She's a friend. Just a family friend."

"Good," the waitress remarked, a more comprehensive smile forming on her lips. "Now, what would you like to order?"

"I'll have a glass of whiskey. Belle, what would you like to have?"

"I'll have some mead," Belle said.

The waitress smiled again and left them to get the two their drinks. She came back a couple of minutes later, giving them their drinks and sitting down. "There you are," she said.

The Professor looked at her. "Shouldn't you be working?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm due for a break," she said. "So, what are your guys' names?"

"I'm Belle, and that's the Professor," Belle said, taking a sip from her mead.

"The Professor, huh?" the waitress said, cupping the Professor's cheek with her hand, to which the Professor leaned in. He didn't know why he did, but her hand on his cheek - it felt nice. She had a soft touch. A gentle touch. "Not much of a name, but it's something to call that cute face of yours. My name's Clara."

"What a lovely name. Clara," the Professor said.

"Thanks, I'm thinking about keeping it."

The Professor chuckled. "So, do you know anywhere we can spend the night?"

"You can always stay with me," Clara said, getting up. "I don't mind. I'll show you now."

"Okay," the Professor said. "Belle, do you mind?"

Belle shook her head. "Not at all."

Smiling softly, the Professor began to get up from his seat, along with Belle, after the two of them had finished their drinks. Clara then led them out of the bar and towards her apartment. Just around the corner, up some stairs. Unlocking the wooden door, Clara walked inside, followed by the Professor and Belle.

"It's lovely," Belle said, looking around.

"Very quaint," the Professor added.

"Thanks," Clara said. "Now, I only have two bedrooms, so one of you may have to share with me."

"I'm sure we could manage," the Professor commented. "Unless, you two want to share a room? Might be like a sleepover."

"I've never had a sleepover," Belle said, a light chuckle leaving her lips.

"Okay. It's settled, then. Just look after that bracelet of yours."

"Okay," Belle said as she slowly headed to Clara's room with Clara.
