A/N : As I promised, here's the first true chapter, which introduces Peter to Limgrave.

Peter's POV

...

That is a big tree.

Actually, "big" is kinda underwhelming. This is a gigantic tree! And on top of that it's golden!

Just what is the size of that? This is 5 times taller than Burj Khalifa! Easily the biggest thing I've ever seen.

You might have guessed, I never expected to see this behind that door. But on the other hand I'm out of this gloomy cave, fresh air is always a plus. Also uh, I guess this confirms I'm no longer in New York. Great.

Wait, while I was staring at that thing, I didn't notice but there is somebody near me. Maybe some help?

"Excuse me sir?"

"Oh yes, Tarnished... Wait a minute."

The man wearing a white mask suddenly stops talking. And he keep staring at me, for what seems like hours. Um, did he just see a ghost?

"Uh, are you alright sir?"

"Y-Yes. Um, it's just that..."

"Yes?"

"Your armor is... quite original, I have to say."

"Well, I made it myself. It was kind of itchy at first but I got used to it. But I think it's fitting for someone called Spider-Man."

"Spider-Man?"

"You've never heard of me?"

"No. Was I supposed to?"

"Um, not really but let's say I'm famous from where I come from."

"And where do you come from, dare I say?"

"The Big Apple." The man just blinks at my answer.

"I meant New York City."

"I'm afraid that doesn't help." Wait a minute, does this man seriously don't know about New York? Where did I end up?

"Ok, I'm going to say a bunch of words. Tell me if you've heard those before."

"Do you expect me to play your little game?"

"Why not? Before I came you were on your own doing nothing. Were you expecting someone?"

"Technically yes but, you came instead. Oh well, I might as well share this with you. Surely you came to claim the Elden Ring?"

"The Elden what now?"

"You're kidding! Don't tell me you're unaware of the reason why people came to these accursed lands!"

"Sir, I don't know what you are talking about. Anyway, since you don't know about New York I guess you can't help me. I'll leave you alone now. And good day to you."

Just as I'm about to leave, my stomach is rumbling. I had forgotten about that but yeah, I've eaten nothing since I woke up! Is there anything around here...

Some berries near by! I hope those are edible. As I use my web to bring those over, I can see the masked man staring at me again.

"Ok, what is it this time?"

"H-How... How did you do that?" Oh yeah, I forgot he had never seen my powers.

"Government secrecy, sorry. See you later and good day to you!"

"Wait!" Just as he cries for me to stay, I use my webs to swing out of here.

Sorry man, I need to be alone. Seems like I have a lot of informations to digest, along with those berries. That broken church should be a perfect place for that.

Ok, time to sit down and think... What's happening to me is mental...

That damn machine... I'm sure it was a noble creation in your eyes buddy, but it's a freaking curse. Yeah, I'm salty. I mean, you would be too if you were teleported in an unknown location without warning!

Those berries are not really great, but so far I think they are without danger? That's enough for me to be honest.

Wait, I'm not alone. Somebody is sitting near a bonfire. Doesn't kill to try again I guess.

"Excuse me sir?" The man turned his attention on me. Just like the man in the white mask, he stared at me for some minutes. My suit really has effects on people around here uh?

"You're not a Tarnished." I'm not a what?

"Um... No? I don't think so at least."

"Then why come to these lands? There's nothing except death and madness."

"It's... complicated."

"Unless you've come for the Elden Ring anyway."

"Again, complicated."

"Oh well, since you're here... It's been ages since I last had a customer. Care to take a look?"

"You're a merchant?" The man nods. "Consider me interested. Show me what you got."

The man smiles before showing me his stocks. So far I can see, a shield, some arrows... None of that is really interesting.

Well, except that map! I need some indications.

I take out 10 dollars I saved from my pocket.

"Is that enough for the map?" I get no answer but more blinks from the man.

"I... I don't take this as payment, I'm afraid. I only accept runes." Oh great, even the currency is different here!

"Crap, thanks anyway."

"However, your clothes are some of the strangest I've ever seen, but they interest me anyway. Care to trade those for the map?"

As much I want indications, my secret identity is above everything else.

"I have to decline unfortunately. those clothes are... special to me. I'll come back though, whenever I get some of those runes."

"I'll be there waiting for them then." He lets out a small laugh after that.

"See you later, Santa Claus!"

Just as he's about to answer, I'm already swinging away.

I guess that wasn't a cosplay after all.

Right now I'm on the top of a tree, and I can see four knights, wearing the exact same armor that dude had back in the cave. I can't swing without them noticing, they are patrolling around. I don't have much choice I guess, sleepy time for everybody.

The first one is busy gathering herb, so I get behind him before knocking him out silently.

The second and third one are close, so I just knock them out both at the same time.

However, that also alerted the last one. And he's pulling out a trumpet, so that means there's more of them! Guess what, you don't buddy.

I immediately use my web to snatch it, before finishing him off. Sorry my man, couldn't let you call for help.

As I keep walking while checking my surroundings, I eventually get the view of some ruins near-by. However, it looks like the soldiers have rehabilited them as a camp. And oh boy, there are a lot of them. Along with their captain I guess? Their armor is different, and the size of their shield, oh god. Yeah, I may be Spider-Man but I'm not in the mood to fight so much soldiers at once. I'm not going.

Also, looks like nightfall is close. I need to rest.

Nightfall has arrived.

As I'm eating more of those berries while being on the top of a tree, I can't help but think about my current situation.

That light back in the high school... Just what exaclty happened?

Am I dead? Is this another realm of reality? Or another universe?

Well, I guess this confirms the multiverse theory at least.

My spider sense has activated, someone is attackin-

Wait, actually, no one attacks. Instead, I can see what looks like blue mist? And a hooded figure appear. Is that a ghost? I've seen too much already.

"Greetings."

Oh, she speaks? Ok, I'm too curious.

As I drop from the tree branch, I keep staring at that girl, waiting for any action she might perform.

"I am Melina." Uh, nice name.

She then sits down, and remove her hood. I can finally see her face : I'll admit it, she's cute, yeah. Her hair color is also pretty unique. Nonetheless, what's up with her left eye?

"I offer you an accord."

A/N : There you go guys, sorry if the chapter kinda sucks but I needed a lot of dialogue to introduce Peter to Elden Ring NPCs.

I hope to publish the next chapter before the end of the month, but no promises.

See you soon!
