"No... please no"

The archer begged, he couldn't let her go.

"It's ok"

The redhead nodded and pushed herself off, letting her hand slip from the man who tried so hard to hold on.

Clint woke up in a sweat, every night it was the same stupid nightmare...He looked at the woman next to him, the woman who was not his wife, but instead the woman who haunted his dreams, Natasha Romanoff.

When Steve put the stones back, his dear Nat came back to him, she was home, she was his.

The archer and the widow had begun an affair 20 years ago, when Barton first started dating his wife Laura. They were somewhat unsure how it all started, how they ended up kissing in a hotel room a week into a mission they dared to go on alone. But now, 20 years later, here they were, laying next to each other, again finally! And it was all ok.

His lover beside him was still fast asleep, red hair draped over her bare back and shoulders, her breathing slow and steady.

She never was one to move much in her sleep, she was in the same position he left her, on her stomach with her arms under her face.

He vowed to never take any moment for granted, because he never knew when it could be the last.

He got lucky this time, he got her back... but next time he may not be so lucky. He placed a kiss on her back, he didn't want to wake her but he couldn't help it, any moment he had, he wanted to make sure she was real.

Natasha moved her foot a little, her body always reacted to his touch, didn't matter if she knew it or not.

Clint got up and went to the bathroom, leaving his sleeping beauty to her rest, because she definitely needed it.

With Laura being in Davenport with the kids, the archer and his lover had the house to themselves. That was nice, also helpful with the night they had, which ended only 6 hours ago, give or take.

Laura had gone to visit a family friend, one Clint didn't really know that well from being on missions and away from home for so many years. It didn't bug him that she was gone sometimes, he was gone for many years, she deserved vacations too, with or without the kids.

After he finished his business and washed his hands, he couldn't help but look up into the mirror. He had marks down his neck and his chest, his dear Nat was never one to be very gentle, at least when he was working, he could blame the marks on falling through windows, or off of buildings.

He smiled to himself, the fact she was back, she was here, and she could give him these marks of her love... he was forever grateful. Plus they'd probably be gone by the time Laura got home, so no worries.

He made his way back into the room where the redhead still laid, she looked so lovely, but he wouldn't bother her.

A couple hours went by, the archer decided to get up and make breakfast for Natasha, something he used to do in the avengers compound.

The time on the digital kitchen clock read 9:30am, he knew she'd be up soon, it didn't matter what time she went to sleep, she always woke up by 10 or before.

He finished up the pancakes and eggs and then he heard foot steps on the stairs, he smiled to himself and then turned around to look at the beautiful woman who had woken for the day.

"Good morning beautiful"

She smiled softly, she had reached the bottom of the stairs and began her steps into the kitchen to kiss her lover for the first time today.

"Good morning handsome"

She had on her tight shorts, her white tank top that didn't hide much, and her hair was pulled back into two Dutch braids.

Her top wasn't something Laura particularly liked her wearing unless she had a bra under, in Laura's words, it was 'inappropriate around the children' She never bought that, she thought it was because her husband sometimes stared, but it wasn't her home so she respected Mrs. Barton.

"Did you sleep well my love?"

The archer spoke as he turned back to cooking the last bit of food, the bacon.

"I did"

She walked over and wedged herself between him and the stove, she gave him a kiss and moved back to hug him from behind, she laid her head on his back and smiled.

"Did you?"

She said as she ran her fingers over his stomach. After the events of last night, she was sure they both slept like rocks, but she still had to ask.

"I did, up until about 7am, then I had a bad dream and woke up"

She frowned at that, she knew he struggled with nightmares when they used to work, and she knew of his nightmares now... she knew they were at the fault of her actions.

"I'm sorry babe"

He shook his head and put one of his hands on hers, hers that were around his stomach.

"It's ok, I fell back to sleep"

Nat rubbed her thumb over his hand and nodded.

"Good. I've got you now, it's all ok"

He leaned into her and smiled softly, he loved how sweet she was to him. Natasha Romanoff, the woman who would kick someone's ass for using the wrong 'your' adored Clint Barton, and that... that was such a special feeling. He loved every second he spent with the widow, every second he cherished, and he would continue to do so forever.

Nat pulled away from Clint, leaving him feeling cold and disappointed that she had to move. He finished the bacon and set it on the table with everything else, he gave his lover a kiss before he pulled her chair out for her, she gave a smile and sat.

"Such a gentleman"

He smiled and kissed her head before going to sit down in his own seat.

"You know, this is off topic, but I love that shirt on you"

The archer said as he grabbed his fork and took a bite of eggs. The widow gave a little smirk and shrugged, she knew that, of course she did.

"Well of course you do, it doesn't hide much"

Natasha had been called a few nasty things in her life, around the avengers compound as well, her favorite term was 'slut' given to her by the lovely Tony Stark. Of course he never ever used it rudely, but that's what he called her when she wore her short dresses, or see through shirts, she always returned an insult and they went on with their day.

"Yes that's true, and you look lovely in it"

She grabbed some syrup and put it on her pancakes, she loved time alone with him.

"Thank you"

He smiled and nodded then put syrup on his pancakes as well, he grabbed some blueberries he set out, and put some on top.

They both ate with any words for a few minutes, silence was nice between them, especially when the kids were always loud.

Natasha stretched her foot out and across under the table, she ran her foot over Barton's leg, it didn't bother him. Natasha was a needy woman when she found the one she liked, lucky for Clint, that always had been him, and he'd never complain about it.

Both Clint and Nat's love language was touch, touch was all they needed in a room full of silence, touch spoke thousands of words that maybe they couldn't find, touch... was how they survived.

As her foot got higher, her smirk grew, she knew full well what she was doing, this was Natasha after all, she was an asshole in the most loving way. Clint took her foot in his hand and laid it on his lap, he rubbed it and continued to eat.

"Any plans for the day?"

She shook her head and smiled as she took a bite of bacon.

"No, i don't have any. I did want to talk to you about something though, i got an email last night"

He looked up at her and furrowed his brows.

"Why didn't you tell me last night? And what was the email about"

She chuckled, he always was so worried about everything, even back when their job was literally fighting criminals, he got worried for her safety.

"I was getting there. I didn't tell you last night because I simply had no time. I got it, then I showered and I was gonna tell you after my shower, but then we... you know, fucked for two and a half hours, and then I crashed"

He nodded, that made sense he thought, he did kinda just yank her as soon as she got out of that shower.

"And it was from Fury, he was wondering if we'd be willing to go back into working for one last mission"

The archer shook his head immediately, not after the trauma of losing Nat would he do anything like that again.

"No, no missions"

Nat looked disappointed and shook her head.

"What? Why? What if I wanna do one"

Clint shook his head again, he wouldn't let her, he wasn't going to put her in a situation, and risk her life again.

"No, we're staying here"

The redhead leaned her head back like a disappointed child then looked back up.

"Come on! It's safe enough, and we'd be together! Away from Laura, in a hotel alone, it'd be more like a honeymoon than a mission"

He shook his head for a third time, he took a sip of his coffee and the looked at her.

"You don't even know what it's about!"

Clint sighed, she was right.

"Fine, what's it about"

Nat put a smiled on her face.

"A mission in Siberia, no weapons, no danger, we just need to go down there and retrieve a vile"

Clint didn't feel like she was telling the entire truth, he knew her, and he knew Fury, things were never so easy.

"How do we do that?"

Natasha sat up straight and smiled.

"We're the rich couple that walks in to buy it"

Clint looked confused, he knew Natasha liked dressing fancy for missions, and he loved playing couple with her, it was always very easy, obviously. But there's no way she could be this excited about retrieving a vile... and a vile of what!? He didn't even know!

"It's that simple?"

She nodded and took a sip of her coffee.

"Well yes of course... oh, also I forgot to mention that's just the side mission"

Clint rolled his eyes, there it was.

"Baby, I love you but no"

"Yes, because the ACTUAL mission is simply identifying a man, and arresting him, he works alone so there's no one coming after us, AND the whole thing is paid so it's basically a vacation"

He thought about it... they definitely had handled worse.

"So sex, man, vile, vacation?"

Nat nodded, she felt she was winning him over. Barton shook his head playfully this time and smiled.

"I hate that I love you sometimes"

Nat scooted her chair into the table more and smiled.

"Is that a yes"

Clint nodded.

"Yes"

Nat scooted the chair back she just moved and got up, she walked over and sat down on his lap then put her arms around his neck.

"You're the best"

She kissed his cheek.

"We leave in two weeks"

Clint nodded, he'd get more details later.

"Great"

He kissed her cheek this time and she smiled, this was gonna be fun... he hoped.
