Back in Storybrooke, Cora and Regina were both deep in the Storybrooke woods after abandoning Hook. They had a higher purpose for the dagger than what Hook had. They didn't want to squander the Dark One's magic on some petty quest for revenge. Regina was digging in a clearing while her mother stood by. Regina took out the map and started to look at it again.
"And, you're sure this is where we're supposed to dig?" Cora asked.
Regina sighed. "Yes. Hook marked is clearly. Rumplestiltskin's dagger is here," she said before digging again.
"Unless Hook lied to us."
Regina stood up straight again and turned to face Cora, sighing again. "Then, this map is useless. Gold is the only one who can translate it."
"Oh, don't worry, sweetheart. Hook could have saved us a lot of effort with honesty, but the truth is, we don't need anyone. I can reconstruct the map. Of course, it'll take a bit more time. And when we find it, I promise you. I'll use that dagger to force the Dark One to kill anyone you like," Cora said as she smiled devilishly. But she didn't know that Mary Margaret was crouched behind a nearby tree, and she heard every bit of the plan.
