Robin dissolved her hand-net after everyone had come down. Despite her exhaustion, she followed Chopper and offered him assistance in helping the wounded with bandages, stitches and surgeries. Other than Chopper, three other doctors were circling among the wounded: Miyagi, Law and Marco.
When they reached the end of the line, Robin saw something strange on the ground. Something that looked like a large black wing lay on the ground in the distance. What is it? Robin sent an eye to a closer location. It was indeed a wing. Cut in a straight line as if with a scalpel.
Next to it was a small crater and inside it lay… the last survivor of the Lunarian tribe! His right wing was amputated, and he was unconscious.
Robin read about the Lunarians back in Ohara's library. She knew about the important role they played in the world before the void century. If Joy Boy appears, he will not be able to change the world without the support of the Lunarian Tribe. It's true that he is an enemy, but he must not be allowed to die! She herself was once an enemy of the Straw Hats, and now she is an integral part of this crew.
"Chopper," Robin turned to him, "Doctors treat enemies too, right?"
"That's right." Chopper replied, "The doctor's oath is to treat every human life. As a reindeer I also treat every creature's life."
"In that case, there's someone who needs urgent care over there." Robin pointed to the area where King was lying.
Chopper quickly finished the dressing he was dealing with and ran to the crater, with Robin on his heels.
"Oh no! His wing!" Chopper exclaimed, "Quick, Robin, emergency surgery! I need clean water, and we need to pluck all the feathers here up to two centimeters from the cut so we can sew. If we hurry, we may be able to save the wing!"
Robin's extra hands hurried to fulfill his command, and Robin plucked, feather after feather, all the big black feathers that grew near the cut, both on King's stump and on the severed part of the wing itself.
The plucking caused the area to be very red and swollen, and Robin could not help but feel sorry for King, and for the suffering that still awaited him when he awoke, whether Chopper succeeded in restoring the wing to function or not.
Chopper disinfected the place, and carefully sewed flesh to flesh, skin to skin. He applied some ointment all around the wing, and bandaged it.
"That's it, I hope we made it on time, and the wing will reconnect. If not, we will have to operate on him again and close the stump. But I hope we do not get to that. Winged creatures maintain their balance using their wings. If it does not reconnect, not only will he not be able to fly, he may not even be able to stand and walk properly!"
Robin felt a freezing anxiety seep inside her, but answered in an equanimous voice, "I Hope this will not be the case. He has cuts on the abdomen and chest as well."
"Right." Chopper replied, "Please move his left wing, it's in the way."
But the left wing was fixed in its place like concrete. King's face and chest were not visible at all.
After several attempts, including duplicated hands, Robin said, "Wait, I think I know what the problem is."
She removed her leather coat, slipped it under the wing with a hand that protruded from the wing itself, and covered King's face and hair thoroughly.
"That's it, we can see nothing. Let us take care of you please, we just want to help." said Robin to King.
The left wing suddenly dropped and prostrated at once on the ground.
"Do you think he is awake?" Robin asked Chopper.
"No, he is completely unconscious. I'll just sew all his cuts quickly and bandage them, and then we'll go back to help our friends over there. There are many more people who need help."
