Hours later, the gang of seven boarded The Jolly Roger and started to sail back to New York. The Professor and Henry were at the ship's wheel, with Belle, Neal, and Mr Gold below deck. It was there that Emma found them. She looked over at Mr Gold, who groaned – feeling the poison still race through him.

"You don't look comfortable," Emma said, approaching him.

"The poison racing towards my heart will have that effect," Mr Gold stated.

Emma walked over to them. "Tell me about this knife of yours. Cora and Regina, if they have it, they can make you do anything?"

"Indeed."

"Like, kill us all?"

Mr Gold breathed heavily, and Belle clutched his spare hand. "Yeah. You're hoping I bleed to death now, aren't you?"

"You're Henry's grandfather. We're family now. I'm going to save you."

"I feel so reassured."

Back in Storybrooke, David walked through the streets, talking on the phone to his wife. But what they didn't know was that Cora and Regina were listening to their conversation. "Hey. I just talked to Emma. She says it's a bad wound. She says it's poison. He can only cure it back in Storybrooke. They're taking the ship home."

"Well, let him know they have the knife, okay?" Mary Margaret said. "Who knows what that wicked woman would do."

Cora didn't like that last comment, so she knocked the phone tap off Regina's desk. Regina got up from her seat and walked around to the other side of the desk. "Mother..." she said.

"I don't like what that enchanted box said," Cora said. "I'm not … I'm not wicked."

Regina picked it up. "It's not an enchanted box. It's a phone tap."

"I don't care! What matters is that they've been warned. Rumplestiltskin's smart, and now he has time to think."

"But he's injured."

Cora picked up the dagger and saw that the name "Rumplestiltskin" was disappearing. "More than injured, I'd say. He's dying. And when his name disappears, all that power of his will boil off into the air, and there will be no new Dark One."

"Regina sighed. "Okay, so we have to use him to get Henry back before he dies."

"Not in his condition. I don't wanna kill him faster." No. There are no other options. I must stab him with this knife and take his power as my own. I must become the Dark One. And with his

power, there's nothing I won't be able to do."

Regina got up from her seat at the mayor's desk. "But Henry's never going to forgive that. And the whole point of this is … Wait, what is the point of all this?"

"To protect our family."

"Or you gaining your power?"

"Whatever power I gain is for us. To protect you. To protect Henry. If we lose this battle, we'll spend the rest of our short lives on our knees in front of them. And that, my love, is something I'll never do."

The Jolly Roger docked into the Storybrooke shortly after the phone call, and the TARDIS was waiting for them. Outside the TARDIS were the Doctor, Mary Margaret, David and Ruby. All were waiting for them. As soon as they saw the Professor and Neal help Mr Gold walk towards them, they ran forward to greet them.

"Are you okay?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Yeah," Emma said, sighing. "Yeah. We're all right."

"Uh, I drove a ship," Henry said.

"Did you now?" David asked.

"Yeah. The Professor showed me how. And that's my dad," Henry said, pointing at Neal.

"That's me..." Neal said to David.

They got him over to the TARDIS, and the Doctor opened the doors and led them inside, helping Mr Gold into one of the seats by the steps. "Thank you. Thank you," Mr Gold said, though his voice was strained.

"Is Cora trying to control you with the dagger?" David asked.

"Well, you'd know if she was because most of you would be dead by now."

"Well, then, we'll just have to take the fight to her before that can happen," Mary Margaret said.

David sighed. "We will."

"And this time, we finish it." "Mary Margaret ..."

"David. She needs to be stopped. She needs to be killed. This is our family. We are going to protect it."

David pulled her away. "Of course, we will. But what you're talking about goes beyond that."

"Does it? Because she is the reason that you've never met my mother."

"I know. I know what happened to Queen Eva, and I have zero problems with Cora dying for it. But not by your hand. And not out of vengeance."

"Why?"

"Because you wouldn't be able to live with yourself. You have the purest heart of anyone I have ever known. That's who you are. And that's who you are going to stay."

While David and Mary Margaret discussed, Emma walked over to Mr Gold. "You okay?"

"Ah, I'm beginning to feel a bit stronger. Take me back to my shop. There's magic there that can protect us."

"Or the Zero Room?" the Professor suggested. "The Zero what?" Emma asked.

"The Zero Room. A room completely cut off from the random electrical and radiological influences of the rest of the universe. The ideal places for healing," the Doctor explained.

"Though if it works on Rumple's poisoning, I'm not too sure," the Professor added. "

Well, let's get him there," Belle said. "We can find out."

"No," Mr Gold said. "Shop first. Then the Zero Room." "But, Rumple..."

"Trust me, Belle..."

"Let me guess, I get to go with Ruby," Henry said. "You got it, Kid," Emma said.

"I'll keep him out of the crossfire," Ruby said. "Thank you," Mary Margaret said.

"Don't look so worried. You'll stop Cora. You won't let her get away," Henry said before he and Ruby left the TARDIS.

Once they were out of the ship, the Doctor and the Professor started to fly it to the Pawn Shop. Once they got there, they helped Mr Gold out of the TARDIS and sat him on a bed in the back room. Mr Gold told Emma to find a big, clear jar on one of the shelves. Once she did, she brought it over.

"Emma, did you find it?" Mr Gold asked.

"Yeah, there's nothing in it," Emma said as she moved the jar, which rattled. It startled her. She thought it was just an empty jar. But obviously, it wasn't. "What the hell?" She muttered as she stuck her hand in it and pulled out something invisible. She held it up.

"Invisible chalk," Mr Gold explained, using his cane to hold up his weak body. "Use it in the front doorway. Draw a line. The rest of you? You might want to prepare for battle."

"The Professor and I get the Zero Room ready for you, Rumple," the Doctor said before he and the Professor entered the blue box. Belle followed them both. While Neal and Emma went to the front door, and David checked on another part of the shop, Mr Gold called Mary Margaret to him. "Oh! Oh, wait, wait, please. Can you get me a warmer blanket? From that cabinet."

Mary Margaret went over to the cabinet, opened it, and saw the double-ended candle. She hadn't expected to see that again in her life. She took it out and brought it over to him. "Why do you have this?"

"For a rainy day."
