Once they were abord the ship Narcissa's father rounded on Will who held the charts.

"You weren't supposed to get caught," he said sharply. Will shrugged. He very nonchalant for someone who had just been nearly drowned to death in bathwater in Narcissa's opinion.

"It worked out the way I wanted," he replied before walking away. Narcissa's eyes narrowed at the usage of the word "I". She came to stand next to her father who was now leaning on the rail of the ship the fires of Singapore fading into the distance.

"Am I the only one who thinks it's strange that Sao Feng suddenly decided to help us?" she asked.

"Nay, the welp is up to something. But we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth fer now," replied her father.

"True," murmured Narcissa. She couldn't imagine Will betraying them but something wasn't adding up. She leaned against her father.

"Thanks for earlier at the bath house. I half expected you to murder them for looking at me like that." Her father snorted.

"Trust me the thought crossed me mind. They're lucky they didn't try anything."

"I don't know which is worse. Them or Cutler Beckett." scoffed Narcissa. Her father looked at her in surprise.

"What about Beckett?"

"Oh, didn't I mention? Beckett proposed to me. Apparently, he finds a woman holding him at gunpoint attractive." Narcissa saw her father's knuckles whiten on the railing.

"I take it ye refused." Narcissa snorted.

"Do pirates love treasure? Of course, I refused. Though he still seems to hold some delusion that I will change my mind."

"I hope ye don't have any objection to me killing him," her father growled.

"Be my guest," replied Narcissa. Touched to see her father's protective side. She smiled as the moon came out from behind the clouds shining down on them. A look of contentment crossed her father's noticeably not skeletal face.

"You must be glad to finally enjoy the moonlight," she said softly.

"Aye, ye don't appreciate the simple pleasures of life, till ye've lost them." Narcissa covered his hand with hers.

"It reminds me of all those nights you used to take me to watch the stars back home. Those were good times."

"That they were lass." her father agreed

"I've missed you daddy," she whispered. Her father didn't reply but he did wrap an arm around her shoulders pulling her close.

Hector Barbossa stood at the railing of the ship, his arm around his daughter. If he were honest the best thing about his resurrection was being with his daughter again. To actually feel her warmth as she leaned against him.

It was all the more reason to make sure to fulfill his bargain with Calypso. It had taken all his self-control not to straight up murder the men at the bathhouse for looking at her in that way.

Hector knew that realistically he couldn't control how every man looked at her. She was a beauty like her mother. But it didn't make him feel any less protective. Not that she needed to rely on him for protection. He'd been quite impressed by how she'd handled herself in actual combat back in Singapore.

She was his daughter through and through but she was also her own person and he had a feeling this venture would draw that out.

Whatever came be it Beckett, Sao Feng, or Davy Jones himself he swore he'd look after her. After all, pirates protected their treasure.

Narcissa sat next to Ragetti a Bible on her lap.

"So, try and sound this one out," she said pointing to the page.

"The L-o-rd s-ae-wa?" tried Ragetti.

"S-o-w o like octopus," corrected Narcissa kindly.

"Why does one letter make two different sounds?" he questioned in frustration.

"Because whoever invented the alphabet decided it would be amusing to make things difficult," replied Narcissa dryly.

"I'll never get it," grumbled Ragetti.

"You will with practice. Trust me. If you can spend ten years tracking down 882 pieces of gold you can get this. Besides, at least you don't have to learn this in Latin like Elizabeth and I did."

"That does sound something awful," agreed Ragetti. Just then Will stormed out above deck. Sighing Narcissa turned to Ragetti.

"You keep going and I'll be back soon," she stood and headed down the way Will had come up. Below decks she found a depressed looking Elizabeth.

"Trouble in paradise?" She asked, sitting down beside her sister.

"Will doesn't understand and I can't explain it to him."

"You mean about you chaining Jack to the mast?" Narcissa asked. Elizabeth looked at her in shock.

"You know?" Narcissa nodded.

"I saw you on the ship."

"And you don't blame me for condemning a man to death?" Narcissa shrugged.

"I would have done the same. And probably with less guilt. We had no choice and it was Jack who got himself into that mess by trying to break his deal with Jones." Narcissa had always considered herself a pragmatist even if it might seem a bit cold-hearted.

"The thing is, while I feel guilty it also felt strangely satisfying to get revenge on him for what he did to you," explained Elizabeth biting her lip.

Now her conflict made more sense to Narcissa. Elizabeth had never originally been the vengeful type. She could fight to protect those she loved but if there was even a shed of good in someone, she felt bad doing wrong in any way. So, the idea that she ever would have felt satisfaction from what she had done would certainly bother her.

Narcissa wished she had chained Jack instead to save her sister this turmoil. She was also touched by her sister's loyalty to her. She placed an arm around Elizabeth.

"You saved us by doing what you did and it doesn't make you a bad person to feel satisfaction at getting someone back for hurting someone you loved. Not to mention we're going back for him anyway."

"True. You won't tell the rest of the crew, will you? I don't think they'd understand," said Elizabeth with a sigh.

"Mums the word," replied Narcissa with a smile.

"Thank you, Cissy," Elizabeth to her as she stood. Narcissa nodded and Elizabeth headed back above.

"You care for her greatly," said a voice behind her. Narcissa jumped and turned to see Tia Dalma who stepped out of the shadows. Narcissa had to admit that the woman made her uneasy. Perhaps due to the immense power she radiated.

"Of course, she's my sister in all but blood," she replied.

"A strong bond may weather the greatest storms, though it be sternly tested," commented Tia Dalma.

"I hope so," said Narcissa biting her lip.

"I don't think I thanked you for bringing my father back. I can't express what it means to me."

"Nothing is free. As long as yo father keeps his bargain he may remain in the land of the living." Narcissa's brow furrowed.

"What bargain?"

"Ask yo father," said Tia Dalma cryptically.

"My father always keeps his word," she assured the witch.

"Now he has good reason to. The bond between a parent and child is also a powerful force."

"Right," said Narcissa awkwardly. She turned to leave but Tia Dalma spoke again.

"Yo your father's daughter, but you have a destiny of your own. One which may shape things for us all,"

"I'll keep that in mind," Narcissa before hurrying above to confront her father.

Author's note: Ohh! What's Narcissa's destiny eh? I know not much really happened in this chapter but I wanted to focus on fleshing out some of the relationships more so I hope you don't mind. Thanks to guest for pointing out a typo in the previous chapter where it reads like Elizabeth was fighting Mercer. No that was Narcissa and I've fixed that. As requested we will see Narcissa cuddling Jack once the snow hits:) Thanks to all who are reading. If you like this please like and COMMENT! Until next week.
