Barbossa was still barely listening to what was being said but finally pulled himself from his revery as he heard Jack say.

"Never actually been one for tradition. Close haul her! Luff the sails and lay her in irons." It occurred to Barbossa that while he didn't care what happened to him now his daughter had died for the Turners and he may as well make that have not been in vain.

"Belay that or we'll be a sitting duck!"

"Belay belay that!" yelled Jack.

"But the armad.." began Pintel

"Belay!"

"But the Endeav..." started Ragetti.

"Stow it! Shut it!" said Jack sharply.

"What the blazes do you think you're doing?" demanded Barbossa. Jack looked at him.

"You'll see," just then the Flying Dutchman burst from the waters on the opposite side of the Endeavour. But it was different. Gone were the tattered sails and barnacle encrusted hull. It was still slightly foreboding in shape but clean as a new ship. And there at the helm auburn hair blowing in the wind was a figure he had thought never to see.

Narcissa slowly came to, her vision slightly fuzzy at first. This confused her as the last thing she remembered was being stabbed. Yes she had diffidently died yet here she was surrounded by crew members of the Dutchman.

Except they looked different. To put it as Ragetti might have less fishy. In place of the anthropomorphic sea creatures were regular men.

"What are your orders Captain?" said a voice and she turned to see Bootstrap Bill.

"What's going on? I was dead." A weathered and bearded man on her other side with keen green eyes said.

"That ye were but you stabbed Jones's heart. The Dutchman and our loyalty are yours. Although if you don't mind me saying, if you want te save yer friends from being blown to bits I'd get a move on." This shook Narcissa from her revery and she decided to ponder specifics later.

She stood before saying loudly.

"Get back above water now and start readying the cannons!" To her slight surprise the crew sprang into action. She quickly climbed to the helm as they burst from the waves on the port side of the Endeavour.

She could see the Pearl beginning to move on the opposite side Beckett was trapped as the two ships maneuvered to prevent it from getting away.

"Cannons are ready Captain!" called a crewman.

"Then fire all!" she ordered at the same time as she distantly heard her father give a similar order.

The Endeavour was no match for the two ships. The ship exploded from the impact of cannons coming from both sides. Through a spyglass she was able to see Beckett slowly walking down the stairs of the Endeavour before being obscured in the fire.

There was a certain satisfaction as Narcissa watched the man that had caused her and her family so much pain dying. But not nearly as satisfying as she had expected. Still it was comforting to know Beckett would never trouble her family again. There might be others like him, but she'd take the victory as it was.

Looking out towards the rest of the Armada she saw that the very few that hadn't been blown to bits by the other six pirate lords were turning tale. A cheer went up on all sides and Narcissa couldn't help the grin that spread across her face.

"So what now?" she said turning to Bootstrap.

"That's entirely up to you Captain," the man replied.

"So you lot really won't turn on me even though less than ten minutes ago I was hacking away at you?" she asked. The older man with Bootstrap chuckled.

"No. Besides the fact that as Captain of the Dutchman we are quite literally bound to serve you, Jones's curse addled our minds a bit so to speak. Especially those that served under him longest. Our minds at least are finally our own. I'm Flint by the way."

"A pleasure Mister Flint. But I hope I'll be able to earn their respect as well," Flint gave her a crooked smile.

"Off to a good start already then."

"So am I bound only to the sea now? I'd rather not have buckets laid just to be able to stand on Shipwreck Cove."

"You've got the space of one day starting when you step on land today before your duty starts," explained Bootstrap. Narcissa nodded.

"Very well then," she turned to the crew.

"Listen up gents! I've got some business to clear up before we start out on our next trip. We're heading to Shipwreck Cove and you lot have 24 hours to do what you please there I want you back on this ship by sunset tomorrow or else!" the crew seemingly pleased by the news of getting to spend their time on land for pleasure cheered and began setting course back to the cove.

It was Narcissa. HIS Narcissa. There she was alive and standing at the helm of the Dutchman. Jack's nonchalance suddenly made sense in Barbossa's mind and he turned to the man.

"Thank ye," he told him.

"Don't thank me yet mate. We've still got to blow Beckett to kingdom come," was Jacks reply with a smirk. Barbossa grinned and turned to the rest of the crew.

"FIRE ALL!" he called. The crew swiftly obeyed and it wasn't long before there was nothing left of the Endeavour but a fiery wreck.

"Cissy's alive I can't believe it," said Elizabeth Turner.

"Aye, it seems she's more resilient than even I knew," Barbossa replied. The Dutchman appeared to be heading back to Shipwreck Cove and the Pearl soon followed. Now all Barbossa could think of was getting to his daughter as soon as possible. He needed to hold her and be sure this wasn't a dream.

Narcissa received an incredibly warm welcome the second she stepped onto the docks at Shipwreck Cove.

She was first nearly knocked over by the force of Elizabeth running straight to her and throwing her arms about her as the blond gave a deafening cry of,

"Cissy!" Next to join the welcome was Ragetti and Pintel.

"Miss Barbossa! We thought you were dead!" exclaimed Ragetti. Narcissa noted the fond usage of Miss Barbossa.

"I did too believe me," said Narcissa with a smile. Something jumped onto her chest hugging her and she realized it was Jack the monkey rubbing his furry head against her neck.

"Aww I missed you too Jack."

"I knew I'd grow on you," came Captain Jack Sparrow's voice. Narcissa turned and saw him standing with her father. The crowd that had greeted Narcissa broke away slightly she stared at her father for a moment before pelting towards him and embracing him. He returned the hug just as tightly.

"Ye foolish girl, what were you thinking getting in Jones's way?!" he said gruffly. Narcissa pulled back slightly.

"I had to do what I could for those I love. I know you would have done the same for me," her father sighed.

"Well ye nearly made Calypso's resurrection pointless. You practically gave me a heart attack when Jack and the Turner's came back without you."

"Well, I'm apparently immortal now, so you don't need to worry too much about that," she replied teasingly before turning to Jack. She wasn't quite sure what to say but Jack just gave her a small smile.

"I know luv."

"I'll pay you back in the way you like best. Rum." she told him and still with her father's arm around her she headed deeper into Shipwreck Cove which was turning into one big party with people cheering and dancing in the streets.

The Pirate Lords and their respective crews ended up gathered in the biggest Tavern on the island.

"Speech!" cried several people as Narcissa entered. Blushing slightly Narcissa grabbed a cup and stood on the bar gesturing for silence which fell.

"Today isn't just my victory. It belongs to all of us. We've lost some, but their sacrifice was not in vain. The seas are once again free for us pirates to sail. I could never have done it without all of you. Whether the next time I see some of you it is as an ally or with crossed swords I'm proud to have led such a brave band of pirates! Now drink up me hearties!"

There was a clamor of loud agreement and soon drinks were being passed round although Narcissa decided to avoid getting too drunk. Music was struck up and Narcissa found herself pulled into the wild dancing. It was nothing like the waltzes she'd learned with Elizabeth but the free nature of it as they linked arms and passed lines was far more enjoyable.

Narcissa let herself simply enjoy being around the people she cared for which included the core crew of the Pearl. After all they'd gone through it was very much like a family.

Sao Feng's first mate came up to her and one point. This reminded Narcissa that she technically had another ship under her command curtesy of Sao Feng. Seeing as she had little use for it, she gave it to the fellow with the provision that she get 50% of the plunder.

Finally, later that night Narcissa motioned for Elizabeth and Will to join her outside by the docks.

"So you two finally had the sense to tie the knot. Just in the most nonsensical way possible." she told them with a smile.

"Perhaps you've rubbed off on us," said Elizabeth. Will stepped closer to Narcissa.

"You hated me, but you still died to save me. You had no idea Jack would bring you back." Narcissa sighed.

"I never hated you Will. I was angry but this wasn't entirely your fault. Beckett would have found a way to challenge us even without your assistance. Besides it's far more convenient for me to be the one cursed to stay on the seas. It'd be a bit of a damper on your marriage if husband dearest had to go off for ten years at a time leaving Lizzie alone with the inevitable children you two will produce," she added this last part teasingly but Elizabeth looked sad.

"Maybe but I can't imagine going ten years without seeing you Cissy. You're a part of me that I don't want to lose."

"You'll never lose me Lizzie," she said quietly as she hugged her sister. "I'll come back to you when I'm next allowed on land. Until then you can tell your offspring about their daring Aunt Narcissa!" Elizabeth gave a watery laugh before pulling away. Will smiled.

"I never imagined when I covered for you all those years ago that we would end up here."

"True you were much more anti pirate. Speaking of which. I'm sorry even as Captain of the Dutchman I can't free your father outright. He's still technically bound to the Dutchman even with a change in leadership. But I am going to cut down his service time so with any luck he will be free within your lifetime." Will nodded.

"Father explained the curse to me in more detail. It makes me regret even more the unnecessary hurt I caused you."

"It doesn't matter anymore Will but if you want to pay me back then make me a promise."

"Anything," said Will.

"I want you two to promise to be disgustingly happy together and make the most of your happily ever after now Beckett is gone. I want you to look after each other and remember me don't mourn me. Don't make my sacrifice be in vain." Will hugged her.

"That I can do."

"Good."

"Ev'ening Mr. and Mrs. Turner," came the voice of Narcissa's father putting emphasis on the last half as he smirked at Elizabeth evidently recalling how she'd introduced herself in their first encounter.

"Good evening, Captain Barbossa. You probably want to speak with Narcissa," said Elizabeth with a smile.

"Aye that was the general idea," Barbossa agreed.

"Then we'll be off," said Will and with a final wave the young couple departed.

Barbossa looked at his daughter. She'd come so far from the little girl who used to wait for him at the docks on Port Raphael.

"So you'll be heading off soon," he said.

"Yes," sighed Narcissa looking up at him.

"I never thought I'd be grateful to Sparrow but it seems the impossible has happened.

"That's not going to stop you from stealing the Pearl though," his daughter replied with a smirk. He gave her a wolfish grin for that had been his plan.

"Nay she's too fine a ship for him."

"But you're completely worthy," teased Narcissa.

"Of course! Besides, she's the second most important lady in my life," he replied they shared a laugh and then his smile faded.

"Ye have no idea how happy I am that yer safe. Although I'm afraid the cost is high." Narcissa would sail the seas but she also now had a big responsibility. It wasn't going to be a simply life of piracy and adventure for her. Though with any luck her life wouldn't be devoid of it.

"Hopefully I can "live" up to the challenge so to speak," she said leaning into him.

"I know ye can. You've faced challenges most grown men would balk at and come out on top. You've certainly shown your more than just the daughter of a notorious pirate." He saw joy and even a few tears in his daughter's eyes.

"I know what it is to think the one you love most is dead. I'm sorry I put you through that," she said quietly.

"S'not your fault treasure any more than you fault me for what happened on Isla de Muerta. It seems resurrections run in the family," Narcissa laughed and hugged him again. He savored the feeling of having his little girl in his arms again.

"This isn't goodbye really. I mean not in the way it is with Elizabeth. I'm only prevented from stepping on land for 10 years and you'll be at sea. So we'll still be able to visit each other. Just make sure you're not one of the souls I end up having to ferry. I'd be very upset if you were." Narcissa gave him a mock, stern expression that was the spitting image of Lydia. Hector smile down at her.

"I'll keep that in mind."

PotC

Narcissa finished saying her goodbyes to her comrades and now stood at the helm as the last stragglers of the Dutchman's crew came on board and began preparing for departure. She turned to Flint and Bootstrap.

"I'm going to do my best but I know I have a lot to learn. So I hope you'll be willing to help me learn the ropes of this." She knew she was going to need help. This was an important job and she had no intentions of screwing it up due to pride.

"That should work well since my son asked me to look out for you. Thank you again for saving him," said Bootstrap.

"It was my honor," replied Narcissa and she glanced at Flint.

"I'll be happy to give my advice on one condition," said Flint.

"Oh?" asked Narcissa raising an eyebrow.

"Never play that damned organ again." The serious look on Flint's face made Narcissa burst into laughter.

"We have an accord." She looked out over her new ship and crew. Narcissa wondered if this was what Calypso had meant about her having her own destiny. Captain of the Flying Dutchman and Pirate King.

Well, if that was the case then she was going to make the most of it.

"Ready for a new voyage?" she asked Jack the monkey, a parting gift from her father. The monkey chirped in agreement.

"So am I," at her command the ship began to submerge taking Captain Narcissa Davis to her next adventure.

To Be continued in Narcissa Barbossa Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Author's note: So I managed to finish this out. To answer a question last chapter Will did stab Jones and get thrown back. Narcissa just jumped in the way. Thank you to everyone who read this and shout out to Guest on for giving me the idea of Narcissa commanding the Dutchman. This means for timeline reasons (and the fact that I barely remember Stranger Tides) I won't be doing the fourth film but I do plan on doing a DMTNT story. I'll be gone for a few weeks as of this post but do check back for the fourth and final installment. If you enjoyed this, PLEASE PLEASE take a moment to leave a comment. Until next time pirates!
