Hi, This is the second part of the fic (ofc). Btw, some minor blood warnings (no gore, though, otherwise it would have to be M).
"Sorry I'm late!" A voice came from the school gates. A red-haired man with one arm and a claw mark over his eye ran in. "I'm the teacher who's directing you!"
"Shanks!" Luffy called out.
"Oh hey, Luffy! You're here?"
"Shishishi!"
"Finally," a voice came from inside the building. "You took so long, I thought you'd died."
"Oh sorry, Enel. I was caught in traffic." A man with a large ring on his back and long dropping earlobes walked out
"On the sea?"
"Uh… yes. Some big ship was blocking me."
"Liar," said a man walking from the ship Shanks had been on. "He had a hangover because he was drunk all night last night."
"Ben, why'd you tell them?" Shanks complained. Benn Beckman ignored him.
"Alright, students," He announced. "I will also be teaching you."
"Yay!" Luffy said with excitement "Benn's here too!"
"And Roo, too" Shanks smiled. A fat man walked towards them eating a piece of meat.
"Hey, Luffy! What's up?" Lucky roo called out.
"I'm sorry you students had to wait so long. Shanks wouldn't shower."
"Because I washed my armpits already!"
"You need to shower properly, it's hygienic."
"But my way's quicker."
"Disgusting." Benn muttered. "Anyway, Enel, can you hand the student's their timetable and maps?"
"Done," Enel said. Luffy suddenly realised he was holding his timetable and map in his hand. Meanwhile, Shanks was arguing with Lucky roo.
"Who cares if I only shower once a month? At least I shower, unlike you!" Shanks was saying.
"I shower every day!" Lucky roo retorted.
"Liar! I was waiting outside to use it last month when you were in there and I never heard any water. You just walk in and walk out!"
"You haven't even changed your clothes in years!" Lucky roo shot back
"You've still been eating that chunk of meat for 10 years!"
"Anyway," Benn Beckman said over the two of them. Everyone find your next lesson and head there. The students all walked into the school building.
Luffy looked at his timetable for the day. Maths with Queen. That sounded boring. He located his classroom. Most students were already seated. The teacher, Queen was a very fat man with blonde hair tied on top of his head. He had small sunglasses and had a cigarette in his mouth.
"You're nearly late, Luffy." Queen informed him. "Go and sit down." The only spare seat was next to a girl with pink hair tied back in a braid. Luffy sat down next to her. He wanted to talk, but Queen was watching him, suspiciously.
'This lesson is so boring' he thought. 'If only Zoro or Sanji were here'. As if someone had read his mind, Zoro walked into the classroom
"Hey, Zoro!" Luffy called out. Zoro nodded at him.
"Zoro, this is the wrong classroom. You have Science with Caesar on the other side of the school,"
"Dammit! This map sucks!" A few people snickered as Zoro ran out of the classroom.
After 10 mins of trying not to fall asleep and get in trouble, Luffy noticed that something kept hitting the table. He looked at the girl beside him, but she was just writing in her workbook. Strangely, however, there were splashes of water on her book.
"Luffy could you please focus on your own work instead of other people's?" Queen asked. Luffy felt annoyed. Queen was watching him like a hawk. Luffy heard something hit the ground. It was a scrunched-up piece of paper. He picked it up and opened it under the table. It was a note with lots of horrible stuff written in it. He read some of it: "die Rebecca"; "your grandpa was a devil and you're both going to burn"; "I hope Bartolomeo stabs you"; "when you die, instead of a funeral, the whole school will be having a party"; "you're so ugly, you make me feel sick every time I look at you". Luffy felt pure horror and rage at how someone could treat someone else like that. He then realised what the wet patches on the girl's book were. She had been crying. The notes were to her. Luffy clenched his fist and stood up.
"Luffy! Sit back down!" Queen ordered. Luffy ignored him. He turned around and looked at the two people who had written the evil notes. One of them looked up at him and grinned, showing him more notes, he was writing. The other one laughed.
"You wanna write one too?"
"Luffy…" Queen began, but it was too late. Luffy smashed his fist into the guys face, sending him flying into his friend and sending them both on the floor, unconscious. He unclenched his fist.
"LUFFY, OUT OF THIS CLASSROOM!" Queen yelled. "HOW DARE YOU ASSAULT ANOTHER STUDENT LIKE THAT!"
"SHUT UP!" Luffy screamed back. "THESE IDIOTS DESERVED IT!" He grabbed the paper that the boy had been writing "LOOK AT WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT THIS GIRL WHO DID NOTHING TO THEM!" He read out every single insult on the paper, cringing at some of the worse ones. Queen looked uncomfortable as well.
"Well, those students will receive a 1-hour detention with me. However, what you did was not acceptable in any way. Now I want you to leave and go to Shanks's classroom, and he will give you your punishment." As Luffy stoop up, he thought he heard a quiet "thank you" from beside him. He left the classroom and went to find Shanks. On the way he ran into Zoro.
"Oh, hey Zoro!"
"Hey, Luffy. What are you doing here?" Zoro asked.
"I got kicked out of class."
"Had a feeling you would be a troublemaker," Zoro smirked. "What did you do?"
"Knocked out two guys. They deserved it"
"I see."
"So, what are you doing here?" Luffy asked
"Looking for the science classroom. It's 005 but I cand find it anywhere." Luffy stared at him.
"Wow, Zoro you're really stupid."
"What?" Zoro seemed offended.
"It's right next to you." Zoro turned and saw the room with 005 right beside him. "Dammit! This stupid map!" He walked into the classroom, and Luffy heard the science teacher yelling at Zoro for arriving in class over 40 minutes late. Luffy eventually found Shanks' room.
"Shanks?"
"I heard what happened, Luffy."
"Those jerks were asking for it."
"Have a drink, Luffy." He poured out a cup of orange juice and gave it to Luffy. Luffy put it to his lips and was about to drink when he saw the smirk on Shank's face.
"HEY!" He yelled. Shanks burst out laughing.
"You almost forgot!" Shanks laughed at him. Luffy glowered at Shanks. Shanks's laughter died down.
"Anyway, next time" he said quietly. "Stretch your fist under the table and hit them. That way, the teacher won't see it. Ok goodbye."
"Wait, Queen said you were gonna punish me?"
"Ah, who cares?" Luffy walked out of Shanks' classroom with a grin on his face. He waited in the hallway for the bell to ring for the next period. He had Navigation and Geography with Benn Beckmann. This time he arrived very early. The only person to arrive before him was:
"Nami!"
"Hi, Luffy!" At least this lesson would be with someone he knew. Well, sort of knew.
The lesson was an hour of Benn droning on about maps and ships and the sea. Ships and the Sea were interesting but learning about them wasn't. Only Nami really seemed to be engaged with the lesson. There was also a bear on two legs that seemed to be interested too, but Luffy couldn't really tell, since it was a bear.
'Why is there even a bear in school?' Luffy thought. 'Maybe it's a kid who ate a devil fruit like I did. A bear one.'
During the lesson, Luffy heard whispers behind him. He could also hear his name in their whispers, and other stuff, like "Defending the witch" and "Sticking up for the evil", but every time he turned to them, they would fall silent. Luffy felt something jab his arm. He looked at Nami and she handed him a note.
"Why do they keep whispering stuff about you?" Luffy turned over the note and wrote:
"I'll tell later."
After class was done, and lunch was beginning, Luffy leapt out of his seat to rush to the lunch hall.
"Luffy wait!" Nami called. Luffy stopped.
"What is it?" She showed him the note he wrote to her.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." Luffy told Nami what had happened.
"Oh yes. Vivi told me about her." Luffy was confused. Who was Vivi? "She's a girl I met in my first class," Nami explained, reading his mind. "she said a lot of students here are from a Kingdom called Dressrosa. Everyone there hates the old king there, because he killed a lot of people for no apparent reason. And Rebecca happened to be his granddaughter, so they just hate her by association."
"But whatever her grandfather did has nothing to do with her." Luffy said angrily, thinking of his brother Ace, who had been told by many people how the son of his father Gol D. Roger would be treated if known about.
"I agree with you, Luffy" Nami said. "But these people are idiots, most of them have less IQ than their shoes sizes. Anyway, I'll see you at lunch."
At the cafeteria. Luffy was arguing with Lucky roo.
"Luffy you can't just get all the food you want for nothing!"
"Why not?"
"Because we don't get this food for free! And stop tryna steal it!"
"I'm not!"
"Then what's your hand doing there?!"
"Nothing!"
"Us cooks put our sweat, blood and tears into making this food!"
"That's gross!" Luffy cringed.
"Not literally, moron! And you're not getting it for free! You can't tell me you have no money on the first day of school!"
"Shut up! It's not my fault!"
"It kind of is," Roo retorted.
"I gave my lunch money to Kid because he saved me from the rooster head guy!"
"Then it is your fault!"
"You're such a jerk, Roo!"
"I know."
"Could you hurry up and move?" Some kid growled. "Other people here need to eat."
"Shut up!" Luffy yelled.
"Yeah, shut up!" Roo agreed. "No one asked you to be part of this argument!"
"Whatever," The kid muttered.
"Hey, Luffy!" Luffy turned and saw the pink haired girl, from the Maths class running towards him.
"Oh hey! uh…" Luffy had forgotten her name.
"It's Rebecca," she told him. "I wanted to say thank you for helping me with those bullies."
"Those jerks was asking for it," Luffy dismissed.
"Luffy," Roo interrupted. "Either pay for your food or step out of the line. People are waiting!"
"Yeah!" shouted the kid from before.
"I told you to shut up!" Lucky Roo yelled at him. "I don't need a stupid cheerleader."
"Whatever. I didn't want to be part of it anyway."
"You don't have any lunch money?" Rebecca asked him. Luffy shook his head. Rebecca pulled out a brown purse, took some money out and handed it to Lucky Roo.
"Wow! Thanks, Rebecca!" Luffy beamed. Roo handed over Luffy's lunch and he left.
"Finally!" The same kid got ready to get his lunch.
"That's it! Go to the back of the line!" Roo ordered.
"Why?"
"Because you're too annoying!"
"Whatever. I didn't want food anyway."
"Thanks so much for buying me lunch, Rebecca!" Luffy said for the 10th time. Rebecca smiled.
"It's fine. I owed you for sticking up for me in class this morning." Luffy noticed something strange.
"Aren't you hungry though, Rebecca?" Rebecca looked upset by Luffy's question, and he regretted asking it.
"I don't…get hungry anymore. Not since my mother…" Rebecca went silent and Luffy could tell she was trying extremely hard not to cry again.
"Sorry," he said quickly. "I don't need to know if it hurts to remember it."
"Hey! Luffy!" Zoro called out holding his lunch. Sanji was walking beside him, holding his, looking angry.
"Zoro! Sanji!" Luffy called out. "Didn't get lost this time, I, see?" Sanji scowled.
"Caesar made me guide Mosshead around the school, because of his crappy sense of direction."
"My sense of direction is just fine!" Zoro yelled, walking away.
"Where are you going?" Zoro realised he was going the wrong way again.
"Dammit!"
"See?" Sanji smirked. Then he saw Rebecca and his eyes turned into love hearts.
"Oh! What a lovely, beautiful lady! My name is Sanji." Rebecca stared at him in surprise.
"I've lived for years on a crappy old geezer's restaurant, met many beautiful ladies, but never have I ever seen any as lovely as you!"
"Didn't you say that about the last lady you saw?" Zoro snorted.
"No! Shut up Mosshead!" Sanji growled at him. He turned to Luffy. "So, why didn't you tell me you knew such a beautiful girl, Luffy?"
"I met her after I met you and Zoro, and I only saw Zoro afterwards."
"So why didn't you tell me Mosshead?" Sanji glared at Zoro.
"Because I don't care." Zoro replied. "And he never told me about her, either." Sanji went back to badly flirting with Rebecca. Luffy looked around for Nami and saw her walking around with her lunch
"Hey! Nami!" He called out. Nami turned, saw him, and smiled.
"Luffy!" Nami walked over to Luffy's table. Sanji turned to see Nami.
"AH! Two beautiful ladies! Thank you so much, Luffy!"
"For what!"
"For attracting more girls in a day than he's done in his life," Zoro muttered quietly to Luffy. Luffy didn't know how on earth Sanji heard but he somehow did, and the two ended up in another fight. Rebecca and Nami were shocked, but Luffy was already used to their constant fighting.
While Zoro and Sanji were fighting, Luffy looked at the line at the cafeteria. The kid who had been sent to the back of the line finally got his food. As he walked away, a burst of fire struck his food burning it to a crisp.
"NO! MY FOOD!" Kid and his gang laughed at him and got their food. They scanned the tables for an empty one. There was none except for a table that had a tiny boy covered in brown hair from head to toe on it, and a blue nose. He had a red hat with a cross on it, and the hat also seemed to have two reindeer antlers on it. They grabbed the boy, threw him and his food on the floor, and took his table, looking proud of themselves. Luffy got up, angry.
"Hey! Give the little guy his table back!" He yelled. Everyone looked at him, shocked. Kid smirked.
"His table? I don't see his name on it."
"Doesn't matter, he was there first. Get up or I'll make you." A bunch of terrified whispers broke out. Kid and his crew laughed hysterically.
"WHAT'S SO FUNNY?!" Luffy demanded.
"You should keep your nose out of other people's business, if you know what's good for you." Kid kicked the boy who was still on the floor. "This piece of crap was in our way, so we dealt with it." Luffy was enraged.
"It?" He stretched his arm back. Many people gasped in shock; his friends included. He swung it full force at Kid. Before it could hit him, the masked boy, Killer struck his fist with his scythe. Luffy felt a wave of agony across his hand, and he heard screaming. Killer stared at him through his mask.
"You should have listened to the boss." He swung his now red scythes around and extremely high speed and dashed at Luffy with a high-pitched shriek. Luffy stretched both arms back.
"Gum-Gum Bazooka!" He struck Killer full force with his attack, blasting him back through the wall. Everyone stared in horror. Luffy had just taken down the right hand of Kid's gang! Luffy saw people around him with knives, rushing towards him. But the metal was blocked by a leg and three pieces of wood.
"Zoro! Sanji!" They had protected him from the attackers. Sanji grimaced in pain, while Zoro gritted his teeth and their metal dug through his wood. Luffy glared at Kid. Kid glared back. Around him, the attackers were starting to overpower Zoro and Sanji. A long haired grey skinned boy with tattoos blew fire at Zoro and Sanji, burning them. They both yelled in pain.
"ZORO! SANJI!" The grey skinned boy blew fire on them again. Kid laughed.
"STOP IT!" Luffy screamed, but to no avail. The grey boy continued.
"I SAID STOP!" Surprisingly, he did. Luffy was stunned but relieved. But what was more stunning was that the gang members around them all began to collapse and pass out.
"What the hell...?" Kid looked around to see all his men on the floor, unconscious. Only Kid and the grey boy remained standing.
"What did you do?!" The grey boy shouted. Luffy didn't answer because he didn't know. He was as shocked as them.
"I'll burn your friends to death!" He yelled. Luffy was horrified, and even Kid looked shocked as well.
"Not on my watch!" Came a voice. Luffy and the grey boy both turned to see what it is. A white horse had ridden into the school. On it was a boy with a sword. He cut the grey boy down, who collapsed onto the floor. As the boy came of the horse, Luffy could see him clearly. He wore a white coat and a black hat with fluff on the top on it. He also had wavy long blonde hair which made him look a bit like a girl. Around him, many girls had love heart eyes like Sanji, and some were even fainting.
"Who are you?" Luffy asked. The boy smiled, showing perfectly white teeth.
"My name's Cavendish, of the White Horse. I'm the most beautiful pirate in the world!" Luffy was confused.
"Ok…but why did you help me?" he asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" he replied, indicating around him. "Popularity!" Many girls around him screamed in joy and some more fainted.
"Why're they all acting weird?" Luffy wondered.
"That's natural," Cavendish replied. "I'm just so beautiful, women faint just by seeing me."
"Yeah! They faint because you look so hideous!" Kid had recovered from his surprise. "Now move aside and let me deal with this punk!" He indicated Luffy. Cavendish pointed his sword at Kid.
"How dare you insult me, you filthy brute!" He looked at Luffy. "I'll deal with him. Go bring your friends away from here." Luffy looked and Zoro and Sanji who were unconscious. He picked them up and carried them through the crowd of people that had formed around them, to where Nami and Rebecca were watching, terrified and worried.
"Luffy! What happened to them!" Nami asked.
"We couldn't see anything through the crowd," Rebecca explained.
"Zoro and Sanji got burnt by some grey dude." He set them down at the table and walked away from them.
"Where are you going?" Nami asked, fearfully. Luffy didn't answer. He pushed through the crowd back to where Kid was now wiping the floor with Cavendish
"Hahahaha! I thought you were deal with me, huh? You didn't even get a single wound on me!" Many people around looked indignant about him doing this to Cavendish but were too scared to fight Kid. All but one. Luffy swung his fist full force into Kid sending him flying back onto the table.
"Damn you…" He growled. "I'm gonna teach you a lesson you'll never forget." He threw Cavendish aside and stretched his hand out towards him. Luffy didn't know what he was doing but didn't want to wait to find out. He rushed to give Kid another blow, then felt a sharp pain on his arm. He looked at his arm and saw a gash go across it.
"What?" He felt more slashes at him, causing waves of pain to flow through him. He could see metal forks flying at him, slashing him. But how? Then it hit him. Kid was doing it.
"I ate the Magnet-Magnet fruit. I can control metal. You're no match for me." Luffy felt more slashes, but he ignored the pain and rushed at Kid.
"Gum-Gum gatling!" He unleashed a barrage of punches at Kid who let out multiple groans of pain. He kept on pummelling him until he tired out and stopped, fighting for his breath. Kid was on the ground, unconscious. At that moment the bell rang, and Shanks walked in.
"Alright guys! Lunch is over- WHAT THE HELL?!" He saw blood on the floor, many unconscious people, a white horse, two burned boys, a hole in the wall with Killer inside it, and a battered Kid. And Luffy was in the middle of it covered in cuts. Luffy looked at Shanks, tried to speak, but his vision blurred, the floor became closer and closer, then everything went black.
In her office, Monet was talking to someone on the transponder snail.
"Yes… he just stood there, and an aura came from him, and knocked them all unconscious."
"Interesting," replied the speaker over the transponder snail. "So, he has that same power that the Young Master used all those years ago."
"It seems so, Diamante," Monet replied.
"I will report this to the Young Master. We'll see what he wants to do with the boy."
Alright, Part 2 done. I managed to make this a bit longer than the last.
