PRIDE
The blazing flames felt rather warm underneath Elsword's skin. As he laid his head down on top of Aisha's lap, feeling the strokes of her fingers in between his auburn hair, it felt comforting and peaceful. He haven't felt this kind of tranquility in awhile, thus he was cherishing every single second.
The two did not speak― they did not need to. Even without words, they understood each other. Their little movements spoke to one another and they were able to comprehend each tiny action.
Then it happened.
As the blind angel was gently brushing his hair, she felt it― his horns.
This isn't his hair… what is this?
She thought to herself as she wrapped her slender fingers around his jagged horns. The edges were sharp, sharp enough to puncture through the skin if one was to push through the horns with force.
Is this… horn? Angels don't have horns…,
She thought to herself again, without realizing that she was not stroking his hair anymore. Realizing that her movements have stopped, Elsword glanced up with curiosity, only to be taken back as her blinded eyes were filled with shock.
Oh shit,
He thought to himself as he realized that she was just feeling his horns. He quickly stood up, a single drop of sweat running down his temples as he nervously glanced at the blinded angel.
"Elsword… where are you?"
She asked with worry as she felt a sudden push of air around her that was created as the devil quickly stood up. Her hands were wandering in the air, lost. Yet the devil did not answer back. Instead, he hesitated. Should he answer, or should he remain quiet? Unintentionally, the devil lets out a quick gasp. Following the sound of his quick breath, Aisha quickly turned toward him yet her blinded eyes were lost in distance.
"Are you a devil…?"
She carefully asks. Seconds passed by, the devil could not answer. He did not mean to lie to her, he did not mean to hide this fact from her, yet it was too late. She was the first person to accept him, she was the first person who was nice to him. However, he never had the chance to tell her the truth about himself, and now it is too late.
"Yes…,"
He hesitantly said. He just could not bear himself to lie to her. Her innocence would be tainted by his devilish being, he could not taint her further by lies. He covered his face with his hands, forcefully covering his eyes.
"You hate me now, don't you?"
His voice was filled with despair. It's now all over, he would think. She would just run away from him, and he would never see her again. Because angels and devils cannot be seen together.
But it was to his surprise―
She hugged him. Her petite arms gently wrapped around his waist as he wafted into her strokes that carried a lavender scent. Her body felt warm and comforting, and he never wanted her to let go of him. She gently touched his demonic wings, as she spoke―
"No,"
"What…?"
"Even if I was not blind, I would fall in love with you anyway,"
Elsword could not help but blush; he covered his smile by putting a fist near his mouth and glanced away, yet he could not help but let out a chuckle, for she was too adorable. Hearing his laughter, the angel let out a smile as well. She imagined him― being shy and embarrassed and those thoughts made her let out a giggle.
Then she feels his warm hands gently caressing her soft cheeks. His giant hands have wrapped around the temples of her face and before she knew it, she felt his lips against hers. She gently gaped her lips and so did he; only to back away― his fangs. His fangs were too sharp and too long, it pierced into her lips and she felt the bitterness of her blood on the tip of her tongue.
The devil backed away too, not knowing what to do.
"Sorry,"
He apologized, feeling guilt for hurting her vulnerable self. Then again, she surprised him. Ignoring the bitter tasting of the blood, she pulled herself into his body and continued their kiss. His fangs did not faze her― for she did not care if he was the devil. At that moment, she did not care if she was the angel. And that was a big mistake, a wrongful thought she had in her mind.
As he wrapped his arms around her waist and as she hugged his neck, he felt pride― for she was his.
And he was hers.
author's note:
wooooow it's been awhile lololol
I haven't wrote anything in forever because of laziness + being busy (mostly laziness)
I am still on hiatus and I just wrote this chapter due to boredom as I was looking through my google docs and just found this document.
I probably won't be uploading as frequently as I used to and I'm not sure if I am going to post regularly.
But I do want to finish this story since there's only like 3 more chapters left (I'm just too lazy ooops).
Nonetheless, I'll try my best to finish and hopefully even upload other stories!
I'm sorry for being so inactive!
