Belle, The Beast, Lumiere and Cogsworth were surrounded by large buildings. The streets are cobblestone and it was so…gray.
"Wow!" The Beast said. "This is place is depressing." The townspeople look like zombies!"
"Zombies?!" Cogsworth said, freaked out.
"Calm down, Cogsworth." Belle said. There are no such thing as zombies.
The four friends entered the Victorian styled room and saw a butterfly trapped in a dome glass. A handsome young man, who was nineteen years old went into the room, carrying a drawing book under his arms.
"Well hopefully I can finish this drawing before…"
He was caught off when he saw Belle, the Beast and the two enchanted objects. Lumière stood right in front of him.
"Hello!" He said in a handsome voice.
The young man gasped and backed up into a corner. Belle held up her hand and approached him slowly.
"It's okay, cousin. They won't hurt you."
The man started shaking his head as fear took over him.
"My goodness." He muttered "The stress of the wedding is making me hallucinate to the point where I see my cousin standing next to a Beast and two talking inanimate objects!"
"At least that's all true," The Beast said sarcastically.
"Am I dreaming?" He asked her.
"No, cousin." Belle shook here head slowly. "I believe you are not."
"These are my friends, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and The Beast."
"It is quite lovely to meet you," He said kindly to the Beast and the enchanted objects. "My name is Victor Van Dort. I am Belle's cousin."
"Pleasure to meet you, Monsieur Victor," Lumiere greeted with a bow.
"VICTOR!"
Everyone faced the door as they heard footsteps made their was to the room.
"Oh no, it's mother!" Victor said fearfully. "Belle hide your friends quickly!"
Belle hid her friends in a nearby closet just as the bedroom door flew open. There stood Victor's mother and Belle's aunt, Mrs. Nell Van Dort. She strolled into the room staring at her son and niece with narrowed eyes.
"Victor, why aren't you ready?" She asked in a mean tone of voice. "We're supposed to be at Everglot Manor in the next half hour!"
"Just reuniting with my cousin, mother," Victor replied nervously.
"Well both of you get ready! The carriage will be here in half an hour!"
Mrs. Van Dort left and closed the door behind her. Victor and Belle both sighed in relief.
"What was that all about?" Cogsworth asked.
"That's just my mother for you," Victor sighed.
"Yeah, my aunt is still pushy over me." Belle said. "I'm so glad you're getting married to Victoria Everglot."
"It's more of an arranged marriage," Victor said. "My parents want me to marry the daughter of Lord and Lady Everglot.
"Oh my." Cogsworth whispered.
"Perhaps drawing will calm me down," He said.
"Okay," Belle replied back. "I'm going to read my book."
For the next half hour, Belle sat down on her cousin's bed and continued reading her book. Her friends sat next to her while Victor worked on drawing the butterfly in the case. After the sketch was finished, Victor opened the woods for and lifted the glass case letting the tiny butterfly be free.
