Yarrow sat on a chair in a hallway. He rubbed the bandaged part of his thigh. It hurt like taking a hit to the face by a dragon's tail, but that's not what he got him worried. Looking to the door that stood right beside him with his tired green eyes longing expression, he'd hope to get some bloody news.
"Say,"
The red hair lad turned before the sudden noise brought his attention to the ground. There, he saw a short blue eyed and short blonde hair girl standing next to him.
"You're Snapdragon's brother?"
"Who wants to know?" He asked giving the girl a distressed face despite having a brow raised.
"I 'm Parsley."
"So, I take it you were either from the magic user class or black smithing?"
"Black smithing. I heard that was some battle."
"It wasn't that great."
"Really, I heard from Amarillys that were a lot of blood."
Amarillys? Dose Parsley mean that tiny girl that seems like she would set the world on fire just for the fun of it? Just how did his little brother managed to make friends with that crazy chick was beyond him.
"Look, I 'm not proud of it."
"I know."
The green-eyed teen raised another brow.
"From the sound of it you two weren't thinking straight."
He sighed but didn't say anything.
"My younger brothers back home would always fight with me back, some of them were worse than others. But I'd learn through all that time that sometimes you got to back down and let them do things their own way."
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it. We'll, I have to get back to class. I hope things work out for you."
Giving off a soft smile, the short girl ran off. However, that gesture soon faded. Yarrow looked to his side with a longing face again. There he waited.
Hours later, he gotten news that his brother would be alright. Though the amount of damage his little brother took towards his stomach by his gauntlets', said brother was going to need a lot of bed rest and to be on liquid diet a month or two, it was safe to say that Snap was going to be for a rough time. However, he didn't care. The younger sibling was tough. Growing up in a family of big muscular guys he should be.
Once he asked and the doctors gave the okay, the green-eyed guy went in.
There, Yarrow saw his little brother lying, asleep in a bed with a cover up to, in between.
As he walked a little closer ignoring the pain he felt in his leg, Snapdragon opened his eyes and turned to towards him. It made ceased for a bit.
"Y-Yarrow?" His brother spoke in a soft tone.
"Hey uh, bro."
"Come to tease me some more?"
"Snapdragon I 'm sorry, I shouldn't have forced you to get out of this school."
"You shouldn't have. I could have gotten killed."
"I know." At that moment, the elder brother let out a sigh. "I was just wanting to make you stronger so that people wouldn't bully you, but in our fight, I saw that I was wrong. You're strong enough on your own."
"What?"
Yarrow soon rubbed the bandages on his leg.
"Your leg?" He heard Snapdragon uttered in shock.
"When I was getting checked out the nurses, they said that I was lucky. If your repairer hit an artery or something, then I would have been dead."
"Wasn't trying to hit you. I was only wanting you too stop."
"I know. But you showed wisdom and intelligence not to kill me when you had the chance. We're cool?"
"We're cool."
All of the sudden, an envelope popped from a smoke cloud that popped up. The wrapped letter fell on to his brother's chest.
While both of them having raised eyebrow, Snapdragon picked it up with the hand closets to him and handed him the envelope. "Here?" His brother told him. "You read it? I don't enough strength to."
He opened and read it out loud.
'Hey Snap. Hope You feel better. Anyways, you should have seen what happen in weapons class. Someone turned into a chicken that breathes fire and burn-"
As the elder brother kept reading the letter, the more he was more convinced that Snap can be a strong Guardian someday, especially being in this nut house.
Right after the massage was read, he heard his brother sighing.
"Amarillas, always finding something crazy going on."
"This happen a lot?" He questioned raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, Amarillas always is always wanting ease-drop on a fight to get some gossip."
"Sounds like a pain."
"Yeah, but she's been the best friend to have around."
"It's nice to hear. You should hang out more often."
"Sounds good.'
The two brothers kept talking for a bit before Yarrow found his younger brother nodding off.
"I should be leaving for my classes, good night." He said as he grabbed the edge of Snap's blanket and pulled it up to his chest.
"Thanks, Yarow."
Just as he watched his little brother drift off with a smile, glad he took Parsley's advice, he gave off his before he walked off.
