-The Multiverse of Madness-

-Part 01-

-New York Sanctum-

-01:00 in the morning-

I am tired.

Every night, I see the same dream.

I just want to know why.

A dark and lonely road…

A cracked mirror…

A branched timeline…

Eyes shining red, filled with anger…

Shouts and screams…

"You did this, you're responsible!"…

The sky darkening…

Light lessening…

"How could I do this?"…

The Eye of Agamotto opening…

"We need your help"…

Reality stone forming the Aether…

The hilt of a dagger…

Infinity stones floating in space…

"You betrayed me!"…

And then, darkness unfolding, taking over…

"Beware Stephen, things are getting out of hand"…

A laugh and then…

Darkness and screaming…

"There was no other way"…

"Aaah!" screamed Stephen as he woke up, shaking and shivering. His eyes darted towards his hands which had also started shaking. He couldn't help but shiver more uncontrollably. His hands hadn't shook like this in years. Not since he had given the Time stone to Thanos…

His breaths came out in gasps as if he had just experienced the nightmare in real life. He had a terrible, choking feeling like something was terribly wrong. Like what he had just experienced was a message- a vision.

If this had been a message then it wouldn't be surprising. It would actually make sense. He had been having these dreams for over two weeks now and every time he felt as if they had been pointing to something but this time…this time he felt something had happened.

Like something had been done.

Stephen didn't feel right. If anything, he felt creeped out.

He decided the best way to get rid of this was to go outside from his room and into the small balcony of the New York Sanctum to get some fresh air as that always calmed him down because when he was outside, he had time to himself, time to think, time to gather himself up and just enjoy the wind as he figured out what was wrong and so he got out of his bed and headed out to the balcony which was situated right next to his room.

However, going outside didn't help him. If it did anything, it worried him farther for some strange reason. Even the starry sky which had appeared friendly once seemed alien to him, threatening even and as much as he tried to bury his worries, they grew until finally, they were unbearable and that was when he also got an idea.

Wong. He'll know what to do perhaps. I should ask him straight away.

Stephen knew it would be rude to disturb Wong now at the dead of night but he somehow got a strange feeling that he should've told this to Wong a long time ago and so he exited the balcony and went back inside.

The hallways were dark and loomed in at this time of night, reminding Stephen of the road he had seen in his nightmare, lonely and dark but Stephen shoved that thought out of his mind when he reached Wong's room.

But when he did, he wished he hadn't gotten up till morning.

Everything lay broken and torn on the ground, vases, books, shelves, sheets, quills, basically everything that was part of Wong's room and on the back, in large red letters, clearly painted was the message: I found you Stephen!

"Boy, I should've just stayed in bed" said Doctor Strange, unbelieving.

Hope you enjoy!

I will be publishing chapters every now and then unless I have something important to do!
