Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Stolen my Heart. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Sly Cooper; Naughty Dog and a few others do.

Ray leaned on a rooftop, looking around him at the city. This was something that confused him to no end. He didn't know what was happening, only that the sounds of sirens started to begin to whir to life far too often.

Was Interpol THAT bad at this that a crime syndicate could operate with impunity around their city? Ray didn't question it, simply enjoying the fact that he was still hidden under the radar at the end of the day. He flipped downwards, gripping onto a pipe with his cane.

"All the police in the world and one little thief goes under their radar by miles." Ray stated, rubbing at his eyes as he did so. "Sometimes I just love when a plan comes together." Ray added, looking around as he started to think of his next move.

The majority of the police were busy running around the city, trying to maintain order. Ray slowly started to make his way across town, he'd take down any guards or Octavio's thugs he encountered. Ray wasn't heartless, but it wasn't like this town was his concern, the police would sooner throw him in a cell then actually accept his help. He had no real reason to assist them.

"Ok, I know some of the don's thugs are headed inside." Ray muttered, cracking his knuckles as he looked around. "All I have to do? Crack some heads, swipe the gem, and rush out of the lion's den." Ray added, smirking as he tapped his nose in amusement.

He looked down at a pair of cops as he landed on a lamppost. The cooper crouched atop it, looking at the duo before one of their radios loudly buzzed.

"All units, be advised, we possible sightings of the cooper gang. Repeat, Sly Cooper has been reported in your area." Ray heard which caused him to blink as he looked at the radio. "All units? Converge, lock roads on inspector Fox's orders." Ray heard which also made him blink in confusion once more.

Who in the world was Sly? He didn't know a Sly, and he CERTAINLY didn't find the idea of someone using his family name as a good thing. Still? Now he had a far more person investment in this besides the jewel that had brought him here.

Ray leapt upwards and crawled into the alleyway. He knew that whoever this 'Cooper' was, however? That their appearance drew off many officers and opened a path to the museum. Ray did plan on investigating this 'Cooper' when he was done with the subject at question.

"Another Cooper?" Ray questioned as he vanished into the shadows, looking at the sky above. "Give me a break. I haven't met any other Coopers. Nobody else should have that name when it comes to it. I don't remember knowing any major family." Ray stated to himself, his eyes closing in rage.

'Coopers aren't a name you just pick up off a candy wrapper, it's something important. It's part of a family that's gone through enough in life.' Ray thought to himself as he twirled his cane through his fingers while he looked around.

He turned and scampered up a pipe, pausing only to make sure that nobody was looking at him. If they were? Then he'd be in real big trouble the second they gathered reinforcements at the end of the day.

"Last thing I want is to have an army of thugs and cops chasing me up and down the city." Ray stated to himself as he tapped his cane on the ground. "Then again? I doubt they'd be able to do much. There's too much at stake to back down…" Ray added, rubbing at his head as he pondered the next move.

He could go after the gem which would still be there… Or he could find out who in the name of the world would dare use his family name.

Considering everything? Ray figured he'd rather confront this cooper, knowing that his family was sacred… Even if he knew very little of them when it comes down to it. Very, very LITTLE, but still a little. Ray knew for a fact that things were hopeful, but he was just going to hurt them.

His family name still meant something, even if they weren't around anymore.

"Whoever the hell is calling themselves cooper? They're about to learn that name isn't something you just use like it's a fancy nickname." Ray muttered, clutching the cane tighter and tighter.

He'd fight them, maybe even knock them down a peg, but he wouldn't kill them… That didn't mean he wasn't still furious about whoever this was at the end of the day.

He owed his family enough, and their ghosts weren't to be disrespected by some wannabe in their chair. Yes, that much he was certain of in the end.
