Before the elemental nations, before the great sage of the seven paths, there were two great dragons. One of Celestial calm and thought who dwelled above the clouds and the Great Dragon of Emotion and will. The Dragon below, isolated from light and all that was created above wept for it was very lonely, it split itself into two, a great Red Oni and a Great Blue Oni.
The Red Oni was Headstrong and wilful while the Blue was caring and kind and both loved one another as brothers. The Red Oni laughed loud enough that it split the earth above and drained the oceans that the Celestial Dragon had so carefully crafted, when it found out what the Red Oni had done it was furious and shattered the Oni into pieces and sealed the oceans back up once more. When the Blue Oni found his brother shattered to pieces he went above and begged and wept for his fallen brother and pleaded with the Celestial Dragon.
"Uncle please I beg of you" The Blue Oni pleaded "let my brother and i be together again!"
The Blue Oni wept into existence the Rivers and streams of the world, so great was his mourning.
"I cannot undo what was already done" The Dragon regretfully said "but i will not leave you alone in the great kingdom below"
The Celestial dragon breathed life into the Red Oni's shattered pieces and from them the first one hundred devils were born.
"You and your people must never leave the below" The Celestial Dragon ordered "This i Decree shall be the punishment of the Oni that once were my Brother for wreaking havoc on the world between"
The Blue Oni looked upon the devil as beloved children, creating the great Below city to house them so that none would ever wish to leave Akuma No Machi.
So says the history books of the Devils mist village
Sometime before Mizu met Fu and long before Mizu returned to the Hidden Leaf
Mizu leaned back in his chair as the music of the swamps played, fireflies danced through the air as people hung lanterns of all hues into the tree's and on the stilted houses, he sipped the sweet fruit juice he had been brought by one of the village girls. It helped keep the sweaty heat away somewhat.
"We should be searching for them" It That Binds grumbled in his mind "We don't have time to spend here"
"I'm not walking all the way across the swamp" Mizu said between sips "and the next boat out isn't until the week of celebrations are done. So I'm relaxing"
Mizu smirked as he felt the rumbling of the chain tattoos around his arms in annoyance, Its only way of displaying his annoyance, and put his feet up only for someone to tap his shoulder.
"You know talking to yourself isn't healthy" Mizu's breath hitched as a young woman slid into the seat opposite of him. Her orange eyes blazed like the sun set that was happening behind the pair. Her hand danced around his cup, swiping it with a mischievous wink and took a sip, her smile sending electricity through his body. "That's the good stuff"
"Never seen a girl before?" She asked with a cocky smirk, her mocha complexion and minty hair had Mizu simply gaping at her
"Not one that looked as good as you" he answered, perfectly honest, "never one who took my breath away"
"You're an idiot" It sighed, knowing the look he was giving to the girl.
"Is that so?" she said putting the cup to the side and resting her shoulders on her knees and her face in the palm of her hands. "I bet you say that to all the pretty girls around here"
"Haven't met one like that till you" he replied "you from around here?"
"Nope just stopping through looking for someone" She said to him cryptically
"Funny, maybe we're looking for the same person" Mizu joked, only to feel It tighten one of the chain tattoos around his arm.
"Maybe we should wait together then" The girls smile sent shivers down his spine and as the sun set, the lanterns were lit and music, Bass heavy guitars bounced along with brass instruments to create a sensual rhythm joined by hand drums. She got up and began to sway her hips to the beat looking over at him with a knowing smile that seemed to hypnotize and push him into her arms as the two pushed their bodies together amongst the other dancers. Mizu had no experience dancing but with her to lead he felt like there was no issue whatsoever. The heat of the day melted away in the nighttime and, instead, the heat came from the closeness of their bodies and their hands on one another from sunset to past midnight. She took him back to her room. His inexperience was matched by her own it seemed and they giggled and laughed as they figured out one another for the first time.
The next few days were a blur to Mizu, after their first awkward night together, the two were virtually inseparable. They woke up with the midday heat, untangled from one another, bathed and went to enjoy the festival food and drink then as night came they danced till late. And dragged one another back to the bedroom to become tangled in one another once again. Mizu had not felt this connected to someone in so long that he never even bothered to catch her name and he doubted she even knew his own.
As the first boats floated in, Mizu awoke to the bed empty and a note resting on the bedside table.
Hey there handsome. I'm sorry I had to leave without saying goodbye but I felt like this was probably the best way to tell you the truth about me.
My name is Fu and i am a Jinjuriki, all my life i have been beaten and shunned by the world because of who i am and the burden that was placed upon me. I understand if this makes you feel disgusted for sleeping with a monster like me or just that i lied to you but i wanted to thank you for making my last week the most amazing week i have ever had. By the time you are reading this I will be giving myself to some people who want to take away my tailed beast and in the process, kill me.
Please don't follow me and get yourself hurt
Fu
"Fuck" Mizu was already sliding on his pants and looking for his shirt "Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck!"
"If you want to go after her boy she is headed north west to the land of water" It spoke up as Mizu collected a few things and leaped from the window, ignoring even his shoes as he dashed from tree to tree, pushing himself to his limits to catch up to her. "But why do you care boy?"
"I don't know" Mizu answered as he followed Its directions "i just….felt something okay"
"I am It That Binds" he swore he could hear a smirk in the devil's voice "believe me when i say i think i know"
"Fine okay i fell for her pretty fucking hard" the long haired blonde growled "and now i might lose her forever!"
"Then go" It pumped hellish chakra through his pathways and Mizu sped like a bat out of hell towards Fu
Swampy jungle trees gave way to cold misty filled forests as the land of water came closer and closer. He felt something in the distance, It seemed to tremble within him and he drew his Sword and landed in the clearing before a black robed individual performing some sort of ritual in front of Fu's body.
Mizu's vision went dark, as though he were no longer awake though he was conscious. He could feel his sword morphing and clicking into place as it turned into the spiked chains of his passenger. His vision returned in a haze of red.
She was still laying on the floor, motionless, the bastard was attempting to suck the Tailed Beast out of her.
"What the fu…" the black and red cloaked man had no chance to finish his sentence as he was upon them jangling chains whipping about him in a dark flurry of motion. A scythe came up to defend himself as his friend had already moved on.
Blood splattered, was it his own or his foe's?
He didn't care.
The white haired bastard tried desperately slashing at him trying to get a moment's peace to perform some ritual but It That Binds was not a fool. Its chains rent holes in the tree's it tore away branches to throw, it dragged his foe back as hate pumped through Mizu's viens despite the blood pouring from his wounds.
Wounds?
He had wounds somehow, he didn't care as the chains whipped around him, He roared in defiance and watched as his foe scrambled to try and stop this thing from tearing him limb from limb. Scythe clashed with the chain as Mizu's body was thrust toward the scythe wielder thanks to the chains whipping him around a tree towards his foe.
"What the fuck are you!?" cried the white haired one
"Death" It began doing...something… with Mizu's body. His wounds began to open and pain ripped through Mizu's body. They Roared in unison as spiked chains tore out of his wounds towards the scythe wielder. Their eyes widened and they tried to leap away only for the chains to follow. Mizu's other chains rose like snakes and darted out to wind and tie themselves through the tree's following the scythe wielder. The spiked chains caught the foot of the scythe wielder wrapping around it and clamping tight enough to draw blood and yanking them up into the air as the other spiked chains caught their other limbs forcing them to spread apart.
"FROM HELL IT BINDS!" Mizu and It called together as one as the black cloaked Scythe wielder finally realized what the rest of the chains had been doing. Spiderwebbed between the trees and the branches they formed around him. Mizu raised his arms causing the chains to pull taut and the tree's to creak and groan under the pressure.
"You little fucking…." the rogue ninja did not get to finish his insult as finally tree's snapped and broke, leaves scattered and branches fell as the chains collapsed in on the scythe wielder, crushing their body, leaving the head untouched. The chains snaked back towards Mizu as he dropped the corpse to the ground and he fell to his knees clutching his wound.
"We should…" he coughed up some blood "is she…"
"She lives boy" It replied, he could swear there was….fatigue in It's voice "Find us a place to heal boy or we will not"
"Fu…" Mizu approached her unconscious body and scooped her into his arms, stumbling away towards the road and hopefully a village. Maybe he could hide there for a few days, or maybe they would find a cave or…
"You plan to bring her with us don't you" It said quietly as the two stumbled onto the road "stupid boy…."
"It's a long walk home partner" He said looking at the girl, his heart swelling slightly seeing her chest rise and fall slowly. The road stretched out before them and it took some time but It finally responded.
"Then it is good we have company"
