One Week Later

When Hiccup saw the Edge, he smiled in relief. He looked through his spyglass and saw that the Edge was close to being finished with the new upgrades. The defensive walls were still being built with stone, but everything was rebuilt better than before. As he got closer to the island, Calvery Team flew in to pick up the Rider. Styr Agnar and Sky Smasher landed on the bow of the ship. The scared Rider jumped down and shook Hiccup's hand. "Good to see you again Hiccup. How was your vacation?"

"Good. How has the rebuild been?" Hiccup asked.

"The wall is going slow, but we're still on schedule," Styr answered as he sat down on a barrel. "So how was Berk?"

"Viggo is making his move Berk. Trying to get them to join his Hunters." Hiccup replied and the scared Viking shook his head.

"C Team will take your ship to port, but Heather wants me to get you to the Great Hall." Styr remarked as he got back on the Triple Stryke. Hiccup jumped on and they flew towards the Edge while C Team grabbed the ship and flew it to the cove. It has been a while since Hiccup has seen the Edge and he was proud of what was rebuilt. As they flew over Hiccup's hut, the Viking saw Toothless laying on the roof and the dragon his friend. As they glided down to the Hall, the Night Fury followed in joy. When they landed Hiccup got off Sky Smasher and moments later, Toothless tackled him down and preceded to lick the Rider. Hiccup laughed at the joy of seeing the Night Fury and petted him.

"Yeah good to see you too bud." Hiccup said as he stood back up despite Toothless's joy.

"How was the trip?" Heather asked as she edited the Hall and as Hiccup turned to her, Toothless bounced around waiting for a flight.

"Viggo is there trying to get Berk to side with him, but good news, my dad is against Drago's forces." Hiccup answered and Heather sighed. "Did you send word to Dagur?"

"Yes, but instead of seven days I put in ten days because you are an idiot if you think Dagur can be trusted." Heather remarked and Hiccup sighed knowing this was going to happen.

"Heather we don't have much choice. You captured a Berserker ship. Dagur isn't going to ignore that. This is our best play." Hiccup said as Hiccup climbed onto Toothless's saddle. "It gives us three days. Make sure B Team is prepared and ready."

"Where are you going?" Heather asked.

"To visit mom." Hiccup answered before launching into the air. The rush thrilled him. He had enough time to get to Valka and back while spending some time there. But when he heard a Razorwhip behind him, Hiccup saw Windshear with Heather. "What is it?"

"A couple of volunteers who want to learn how to train dragons and fight both Drago and the Hunters just arrived two days ago." Heather reported and Hiccup knew that he was going to need to find them a spot of the teams or start a new team.

"Have Alfgeir start their training and when I get back, I'll see how many there are and which dragons they chose." Hiccup ordered before speeding ahead of Heather. The speed was amazing and he couldn't believe he was at this point. Berk was a small island in the middle of a war, unlike anything he has ever seen. The dragons are threatened by so many forces and he needs to organize a rescue on Berk, which he forgot to tell Heather because he wanted some time to himself and Toothless. He made a mistake. Back on Berk for a couple of weeks and Hiccup the Disaster strikes again. He couldn't believe he made that mistake, but he wasn't going to keep making those mistakes. he turned around and headed back to the edge to begin the raid.

One Day Later

Astrid waited on the other side of Berk just as Hiccup asked. but he was nowhere to be seen. He was a day later and that worried her. The seas could be a dangerous place for any Viking, then there are the Hunters who hate Hiccup. As the hours went on by, she waited patiently. But after the sun had long set, she prepared to go home. But then she heard the flaps of dragon wings. She looked in the sky to see a Skrill and two Nightmares gliding towards her. The closer they got, she recognized the Riders as Thrain Biorn, Regin Danson, and Hild Noe. They landed next to her and Astrid petted the Skril. Thrain got off of Shadow and walked towards her. "Is Viggo still on the island?"

"Yeah, but he convinced Stoick to add more security due to Dragon Rider raids." Astrid reported and Thrain rubbed his chin. A plan was forming in his mind.

"Do you mind if we burn down an empty hut?" the Rider asked and Astrid raised an eye.

"Why?" Astrid asked folding her arms.

"As a distraction." Regin answered and Astrid shook her head.

"This is our home. Berk is filled with good people. I'm not going to let their homes be burned down." Astrid remarked and Thrain nodded in approval.

"Got any other ideas?" Thrain asked and Astrid smirked.

"Of course."

Later

Stoick was playing a game of Maces and Talons with Viggo in the Great Hall when Snoutlout walked in for an hourly report, which ended up being every three hour report. Normally he would have Astrid do it, but she was busy. So Snoutlout was left. When the boy left, Stoick focused back on the game at hand. He admits that Viggo was an excellent strategist. A worthy opponent for any Chief. As Stoick lost another Longship piece, he smirked knowing that Viggo fell Stoick's trap. Viggo stared at the Chief of Berk. "You are a worthy adversary Stoick. But your trap won't work."

"What trap?" Stoick asked hiding his shock.

"Your Longship is perfect for sneaking through my side's line, but if you notice, I have an opening to your Chief thanks to that move." Viggo remarked as he ended the game. Stoick nodded in respect.

"Well it is late. I better go home." Stoick said as a massive roar could be heard outside. Both Stoick and Viggo ran out to see a Monstrous Nightmare flying in low. The Vikings on the Bolo Launcher maneuvered their weapon but the Nightmare fly out of range or blocked their line of sight as if it knew where they aimed. Moments later, Stoick noticed Snoutlout and his men running towards the beast. "Snoutlout!"

"Yes sir?" Snoutlout asked as he ran.

"You post to be guarding the Arena!" Stoick yelled.

"And miss a Nightmare!" Snoutlout yelled before running off and Stoick ran down to the arena to guard it. Viggo followed close behind. When they arrived, the Viking saw four cloaked warriors, a Skrill, and a Nightmare. The Chief turned to Viggo.

"Get help." he ordered as he unsheathed his sword. Not his preferred weapon, but he needed a weapon to use against these Riders. Viggo ran off and Stoick looked to see the raiders arguing. He could take a chance, but their dragons would be a problem for a lone Viking. One turned and released the Deadly Nadder. He smirked knowing that the wild monster charged out and raised its tail ready to strike. It walked out with its tail spiked. The warrior pulled out a dagger and tossed it away. The Chief thought they were mad. They pulled a fish out of a satchel and raised it in the air. The Nadder sniffed it and ate it. The Rider raised their arm in the air and Stoick expected it to eat their hand. But put its snout against the palm of their hand. The cloaked Rider climbed onto the dragon while the other three realeased the other dragons. He expected a massive fight to start and the Riders would die by Dragon claws, but they sped out before Stoick could do anything. he stood there alone wondering how a monster could be calmed down so easily.

Astrid was on a Deadly Nadder flying away from Berk. SHe couldn't believe it. She was flying a Dragon by herself. The other three Dragon Riders had to convince her to bond with the Nadder, but after some resistance, she did it. Now she was flying in the skies. Once they were at a safe distance from Berk, they turned back to go back to the rendevous point. Astrid still needed to stay on Berk, but the other three Riders will take the dragons back to the Edge to live in peace. When they landed, Astrid jumped off of the Nadder and pet the dragon. She turned to Thrain who was feeding the freed dragons some more fish. "Why isn't Hiccup here?"

"He has to meet with a tribal Chief to discuss a possible alliance in a few days and there is a new team forming." Thrain answered as he got back on the Dragon. The Riders launched in the air, but the Nadder looked back at Astrid before flying with its pack. Astrid hurried back to the village to see the damage.

Next Morning

"It's like they knew our defenses without being here." Gobber remarked as Stoick looked at a map of Berk. A red line showed where the Nightmare flew last night. At first it seemed random, but it flew out of range of Berk's defenses with ease. Then there was the Dragon Rider raid. They struck with timed precision as if they knew Snoutlout would try to chase down the Nightmare with his men. Stoick didn't want to say it, but he fears he has to.

"There is a traitor among you people." Viggo remarked and Stoick agreed silently.

"WHo on Berk would side with Dragon Riders?" Gobber asked and there are only a few who have left the island. But the options didn't make sense except for one and that made him angry.

"Viggo. Can you get us a new dragon? A mighty beast that makes men fear?" Stoick asked and the Hunter nodded. "Then get it. Gobber get him a ship."

"Aye." the Blacksmith replied before the two left Stoick alone, hoping that his theory isn't true.
