CHAPTER 1 Awake
"Mom? Where did we come from?"
Asriel had just turned six and he was asking his mother, Toriel, the story of the monsters. Toriel had told Asriel she would tell him once he was of age, and Asriel thought he had waited long enough.
Toriel sighed
"Alright... I guess you're old enough to hear it."
Toriel sat down on her chair and gestured Asriel to sit on her lap, then she reluctantly began their story...
"Long ago... Humans lived in harmony, but one day a monster was born. It's said a man created this first monster, using the very energy of his own soul. This man loved his creation, he nurtured it and raised it keeping it in secret from the rest of the world, but what the man couldnt see was that his very creation was much smarter a being than he was... This monster, our founder, ran away from its creator leaving the man heartbroken and alone never to be seem again, or so the man had thought. Years had passed and our founder finally showed its face to the world, but it was not alone, for it had spent its years away using its immense soul energy to become a creator its self... Thus, we mons-"
Toriel stopped her story and looked down at Asriel.
"Ah he fell asleep... Well it was almost over anyways,"
Toriel gave a gentle motherly smile as she took Asriel to bed. *
"!"
Asriel jolted up from his resting spot while gasping for breath, his hair was roughed up from not being washed and brown dirt was visible all over him. He had slept under a tree.
He stoop up, his slender arms next to his hips as he moved his hand to rub his right eye. Asriel's eyes shone a bright emerald green, and though he may have been a nice 6'3, his horns had yet to grow.
"Ahh... I need to wash soon," He spoke to himself whilst pondering what he wanted to do.
Asriel wore a long-sleeved yellow and green stripped shirt and loose black leggings that showed around an inch of his legs. He also had his mother's robe, it was a blueish-violet and had a deltarune up by the chest.
As he began his walk on a search for a place to wash off, his surroundings were a nice forested plains that had small hills scattered around while still decently apart. He had been in this area for a while and had grown tired of the familiar surroundings.
"Ahh man, I gotta get out of this place before I go in insane..."
Though many would say he was exaggerating, no one truly knew the type of pain he has felt.
The type of suffering he had endured...
