"What a fine mess you goy us in Stoick." Viggo Grimborn remarked as the Great Hall doors were closed and were pounded by dragon fire. The Village managed to escape but they still lost some people. Stoick couldn't believe what has happened. After Drago gloated about Hiccup's death, the Chief attacked but the Alpha fired towers of ice and command the flock of dragons to attack. Now their village was covered in ice and fire. Gobber put his hand on Stoick's shoulder to comfort the mourning Chief. "If you followed my lead, we would be out there alive and not in here waiting to die." Viggo added and Stoick turned to the Hunter.

"My son is dead!" Stoick yelled and Ryker Grimborn drew out his sword. "According to you, he went after Drago! Now my son is in Valhalla with his mother because of my pride! When he escaped Berk for the first time I felt true pride for Hiccup! He lead Gustav, Astrid, and the Twins like a leader! You would just roll over for the greater threat!"

"It's called surviving. Thinking ahead." Viggo replied but Stoick kept on his rant.

"Hiccup Haddock is more of a man than you Viggo. When this battle is over and we survive it, I want you and your hunters off my island." Stoick ordered before walking past the Hunters with Gobber behind him. "Reinforce those doors and sharpen all of our blades! If those doors fall, Berk will fall!"

Elsewhere

The ship that the Riders commandeered was designed for speed. A useful quality for the mission at hand. Hiccup watched as they sailed through the graveyard after the last of the Wingmaidens returned. The enemy fleet was a day ahead and day was turning into night. Thanks to the scouting, Hiccup knew where they were going. Berk. They stood no chance against what they are against. Hiccup turned to his Riders who were arming themselves with what little weapons they have left. Hiccup touched the Gronckle Iron Sword on his hip. His shield and Inferno were lost, but he was still good with a regular old sword. The plan was for the Wingmaidens to carry the Rider Teams to begin the ambush of Drago's fleet. But they will need to close the gap to make it effective. He nodded at his Riders while the ship beat against the waves.

Later

Viggo watched as the tables, chairs, barrels, and other items were used to block the doors. The Hunter knew the battle was lost. He knew that much was clear. Drago had the dragons, the army, and above all else Ruthlessness, unlike anything Viggo has ever seen. Ryker helped the Berkians with reinforcing the doors while Viggo try to plan their escape. The only problem is that Drago surrounded them and was more powerful. For once in Viggo's life, he couldn't outwit his enemy. He doesn't blame himself, but Stoick the Vast. The bullheaded Viking who started a losing battle. When the doors come down, Viggo will surrender if possible and watched as Stoick burns in the flames.

One Day Later

"There they are!" Hiccup yelled to the Wingmaidens and Dragon Riders as he spotted Drago's fleet and just as he predicted, the faster ships were forcing themselves to slow down to reinforce the slower vessels. Atali let go of Hiccup and he opened his flight suit. His bruises and bones still needed healing, but despite his friend's advice, he was leading them into the battlefield among them. When he landed on the largest ship, Hiccup pulled out his sword and a Nightmare Canister. He lit the fuse and toss in front of the enemy. Then turned to him now noticing him. A large explosion was heard followed by battle cries of the Riders. The warship broke out into a clash of iron weapons. Wingmaidens flew over the fleet dropping the small explosives and wrecking more ships. Hiccup clashed his sword against a Warlord he didn't recognize.

"I thought you were dead." the man remarked as Hiccup blocked the two blades.

"I'm easy to kill." Hiccup replied as Astrid came up behind the Warlord with her ax. She swung it at his helmet knocking him down and Hiccup kneed his face. "Thanks."

"No problem." Astrid remarked as a large explosion echoed. They turned to see the twins cheering next to a smoking cannon. Hiccup ran to the wheel and turned the warship to the Portside, crashing into other ships. Cutting the fleet apart. The Wingmaidens landed on the ship and Hiccup tossed a canister to the Portside. When he was in the air with the assistance of the Wingmaidens, an explosion rocked the ship and began to sink. He knew it would take some time, but it was lost. The Riders earned a new victory. The fleet will be forced to make repairs while Hiccup would be able to sail past and reach Berk. What he'll do then, he doesn't know.

Later

"It's only a matter of time until they break through Stoick." Gobber warned the Chief as the Great Hall rocked and dust fell. He was still mourning the loss of Hiccup. He failed on son many levels and felt worse than when Hiccup first disappeared all those years ago. "What should we do?"

"We stand our and prepare to join Hiccup in Valhalla." Stoick ordered and the old friend nodded. They kept their weapons closed preparing for the battle and the arrival of the Valkyries.

One Day Later

Hiccup managed to find a baby Scuttleclaw and fly towards the village while his friends took the ground. The plan was for the ground force to distract the Alpha while Hiccup get Toothless back. When the Alpha was trying to blast his friends, Hiccup flew towards his friend and Drago. The madman raised an eyebrow at Hiccup thinking he was dead. "You are certainly hard to get rid of, I'll say that."

"I'm here for Toothless." Hiccup replied and Drago chuckled.

"He's not yours anymore. He belongs to the Alpha. But please O, Great Dragon Master, try to take him. He will not miss a second time." Drago gloated and Hiccup raised his hand out.

"Toothless? It's me bud. it's me, it's me. I'm right here bud. Come back to me. It wasn't your fault bud." Hiccup said and Toothless tried to fight back the Alpha. "They made you do it. You would never hurt me. Please you are my best friend bud. My best friend." Hiccup added and Toothless placed his head in Hiccup's hand.

"How?" Drago asked confused.

"You may have the control of a Dragon, but you will never have the loyalty of a Dragon." Hiccup answered and the madman yelled as he tried to whack Toothless on the head, but the Night Fury grabbed the staff and threw Drago off. As the two fell, Hiccup jumped off the Scuttleclaw and hooked himself to the saddle. They swerved past the huts and ice towers. Hiccup grabbed a torn banner and wrapped it around Toothless's senses. "We can do this. You and Me." He said as he put his hand on Toothless's head. "As one." They flew around the sea stack avoiding the ice blasts and they had flew in sync.

When the dragon fire ceased, the Great Hall grew into a deathly silence. Then Stoick heard the Alpha's ice blast, but he knew no one else was outside. The Chief opened the doors as the infamous sound of a Night Fury going for the kill. The flock of dragons circled in the sky as Stoick saw the Night Fury flying towards the Alpha with a man on it. Stoick smiled seeing who it was. "Hiccup."

"Now!" Hiccup yelled as the Bewilderbeast fired another blast. Hiccup jumped off while Toothless swerved up. The Rider watched as Drago saw an empty saddle. The madman turned as Hiccup lit the fuse for Zippleback Canister. Drago was engulfed with the gas and when it ignited the madman was thrown off the Alpha. When Hiccup turned his head the Alpha's tail was coming up. "Not again." he said and moments later, Toothless caught up with the Rider and they soared up along the tail missing it. Hiccup cheered remembering the same situation when they faced the Red Death. They swooped down and landed next to Drago. As the man reached for his staff, Hiccup threw his sword to block him. Drago looked at the Dragon and Rider in fury. "It's over."

"Not yet." Drago remarked as the Alpha fired another ice blast.

"Hiccup!" Stoick yelled as he charged down the hill. He just watched as Hiccup and his dragon who covered with ice. When the Chief reached the ice, he felt useless once more. His son was gone once more. Stoick turned to a smirking Drago in anger. As the Chief took a step a blue glow from the ice, much to the confusion of both men. Stoick took a step back as the ice erupted. Stoick heard a dragon roar and looked to see the Night Fury protecting his son. The dragon looked at Hiccup and the Viking nodded. The Night Fury jumped on an ice spike and fired a plasma blast at the Alpha. "What is it doing?"

"It's challenging the Alpha to protect Hiccup." a masked armored woman said next to the Chief. When he heard the voice, Stoick thought it sounded familiar. But the Chief turned to the battle and saw the Alpha crush the spike but the Night Fury jumped to another firing more blasts. Drago was yelling at the Alpha as the flock of dragons fleed away from the Alpha. Drago got onto one of the tusks of the massive dragon as Hiccup got on his Night Fury. Then the dragons all opened fire on the Alpha. Stoick was amazed at the fury these dragons had. He has seen it many times during the raid, but this was something else. Moments later he saw a metal arm fall from Drago followed by screams of rage. When one of the tusks of the massive dragon fell, it fleed to the sea with Drago. The battle was over, but when the flock of dragons flew down, Stoick prepared for a fight. To his surprise, they weren't attacking but flew to Hiccup's force. He saw dragons feared by all fly into the arms of the Riders. Gobber's mouth dropped when he saw a Boneknapper rolled over and wag its tail when a Rider scratched it. Nadders; Nightmare, Zipplebacks, and other dragons Hiccup discovered weren't aggressive but acting sweet. The sight was in awe to the village and Stoick's eyes went to his son on top of a Night Fury.

"Hey dad." Hiccup greeted as he got off the Night Fury. Stoick walked to his son and hugged him.

"I am proud to call you my son." Stoick replied as the dragons turned their heads to Toothless. In one single united act, all the dragons bowed their heads to the new King of Dragons, then they roar in might. Astrid walked over and punched Hiccup's arm.

"That's for scaring me." Astrid remarked as Hiccup rubbed it.

"Do you really have to-." Hiccup said but was interrupted by a kiss from Astrid silencing the boy. When it was over, Hiccup was stunned. "I'll get used to it."

"Well now that the battle is over, let's celebrate!" Stoick yelled getting the attention of Vikings and Dragons. "For this victory, the return of my son, and our new friends!"

"Oh ah Dad before we do I should tell you something." Hiccup remarked as Berk began to walk to the Great Hall for a feast.

"Yes what?" Stoick asked confused. Then he saw the armored woman.

"Dad. ah." Hiccup said trying to figure out what to say, but the woman took off her helmet and Stoick's eyes widen. He wasn't listening to what she was saying, but when he gently put his hand on her cheek he said only a few words.

"You look as beautiful as the day I lost you." Stoick said before kissing his wife, Valka.
