Ten Years Later
"Okay hold your hand out like this." Hiccup instructed his daughter, Zephyr as she tried to bond with a Razorwhip around her age. Hiccup smiled with pride as the dragon's snout touched her hand. She smiled as they bonded and Toothless was flying in the clouds with the Light Fury and three Night Lights. Things have changed over the years on Berk. Viggo and Ryker escaped when Drago fell, but thanks to the Riders, they were soon captured and imprisoned. More threats came and passed. The worst being Grimmel the Grisly. Berk took a hit, but they always came back in victory. Now there was peace. Hiccup enjoyed the peace for his tribe, wife, and kids.
"Hey there Dragon Riders." Astrid Haddock greeted as Nuffink ran into the Dragon Academy training arena.
"She's not a Rider yet." Hiccup remarked and Zephyr tossed a pebble at him.
"I will be soon." Zephyr replied and the parents giggled.
"When will I get my own dragon?" Nuffink asked as Hiccup picked him up.
"In a few more years." Hiccup promised and Astrid gave her husband a kiss.
"Your dad wanted to talk to you." Astrid reported and Hiccup rolled his eyes. It was probably to have Hiccup become the new Chief. When he was younger, Hiccup would have hated it, but now that he was older and had two wonderful children, he was more willing.
"Come on kids, let's visit grandpa and grandma." Hiccup said and the family walked towards Stormfly. The Razorwhip followed as Astrid and the kids flew in the sky. Moments later, Toothless landed next to Hiccup while his dragon family flew towards the Cove. Hiccup got on his old friend and they launched into the sky. They glided down to Stoick's hut where Stormyfly was playing with Cloudjumper. The two friends landed and Hiccup got off. After a good scratch, Toothless flew off to his family and Hiccup smiled. When he entered the hut, Stoick and Valka were enjoying themselves with Astrid and the grandkids. Hiccup looked out to the village and saw the many families enjoying the peace. Fishlegs and Ruffnut were holding their newborn while Snoutlout was still learning how to take off Fanghook. Hiccup giggled remembering how Gustav named that dragon. Speaking off, the Fire Team leader flew over Berk with two fellow Riders.
"Son." Stoick greeted as he placed his hand on Hiccup's shoulder.
"About being Chief, I am willing to do it." Hiccup remarked and Stoick nodded.
"I'm not rushing anything. No matter what you do, I will be proud." Stoick said as an explosion echoed from the Forge. Gobber must be trying to fix one of Hiccup's inventions again. As the smoke rose, the fire suppression system did its job and the smoke soon faded. This is Berk. Middle of nowhere where everything is tough and tasteless, but the locals are much more so. But the best thing about Berk is the Dragons and the people. No matter what the Gods throw at them, they will stand united and overcome it.
