Alright without anything to say let's go on to the story.
Chapter 15: Undercover
(Above The Skies, Albion Tristain Border)
A merchant ship is currently sailing towards the border through Tristain. Hoisted with a merchant flag in order to introduce themselves for avoiding unnecessary confrontation from the tristanian patrols who actively reconnaissance the border line for possible another invasion and movements from Albion. Matilda among the passengers onboard was on disguised watching the horizon. Her with a team of spies was assigned in a special mission to infiltrate Tristain. Their mission was to sneak through and establish a network within the kingdom and use the communication device they brought along hidden in their possession. She never expected that she would return to that place not under the command of reconquista but rather under her half sister's familiar. When she thought about it, ever since she was a thief she is the one who provide the necessities of her sister and the orphans. She did all of that just to help them survive heck they didn't even know that it was all came from bad deeds. But what choice did she have? All of that until she was captured by Stanford and give her a second chance to help her family in a good way. Now she was working under her sister's familiar so technically she is serving under her sister and she will do anything for her, eventhough Stanford's actions was not influenced by her sister but her familiar claims that he did this for the sake of a better world for the children and her sister. No longer need to hide from the corrupt system that take away there right of a normal life, because he will going to brought it down and replace it with a system which will grant everyone freedom, equality and other liberal ideals. All of those ideals that Stanford presented was a promising aspects that the commoners are willing to fight to the end and those will also benefit the children and her sister as well. She already made up her mind, she will do this for them and she doesn't care if all Halkeginia will against that ideals in which is likely possible.
"Tristanian patrols in sight!" A crew shouted. At the distance spotted a ship with a tristanian flag approaching at their ship.
"Alright lower the speed and give them a signal that were not hostile!" The ship captain ordered the crews. As per orders, they slowed there pace and signalled the approaching tristainian patrol ship.
The tristainians boarded the ship and started there inspection, found out that it was a merchant ship. The one who lead the tristainians speaks.
"Who is the captain of this ship?!" He speaks with authority.
"It's me milord." The captain steps in and answered. The tristainian leader approach to him.
"Would you explain what is this? Why would a merchant ship from Albion wanted to enter the tristainian border especially that we are in the middle of war with each other?" The tristainian leader questioned.
"Ah sir, I suggest that my boss is the one who suppose to answer that. I will call him here, if you please sir that you wait here for a bit?" The captain asked to borrow his time to bring his boss.
"Vey well." The patrol leader nodded and hurriedly go inside the ship's quarters to inform his boss. The merchant boss arrives after a moment and greet them.
"Greetings milord, I am the merchant owner of this ship." The wealthy merchant introduces himself humbly. The tristainian captain scrutinizes him before he asked the same question to the ship captain.
For the merchant this will be the important part, he must careful of every words he's about to say. The task that the rebel commander given to him was to ensure there entrance in Tristain and bring the spies inland. The rebel leader promised him a bag of gold if he succeeded. A risky mission but the rebel leader guarantee him that he will be fine as long as he follows the instructions properly.
"Sir, I'm aware that we are at war but I am not with reconquista."The merchant then takes a deep breath and continues.
"I am here on the behalf of the royalist." He said bluntly and the tristainians gasp in surprise to hear that.
"IMPOSSIBLE, what are you talking about?! From what we know the royalist is no more. The last member of royalty, prince Wales has been slained few weeks ago!" The tristainian blurted in disbelief.
"No sir, the information you got is wrong. In fact, I have a letter written by him that I was about to send. Your highness, princess Henrietta will confirm the contents of this letter that it was indeed from his highness prince Wales." The captain pull out a letter from his jacket and hand it over to the tristainian captain. The tristainian patrol leader was shock from this, the alleged prince that was supposed to be killed is claimed to be alive and they have a letter to prove it. The tristainian patrol leader accepts the letter and the merchant captain spokes.
"The prince wanted to say that he is now fine and miraculously survived the assassination. We will continue our fight to free Albion from the clutches of reconquista. As a merchant send here, we want to fund our cause by trading with you guys so we want to establish a trade in nation once again." He stated. He needs to execute this properly, as a merchant in Plotsmouth who losses a great income after reconquista took control of Albion because of cutting there trade ties with the neighbouring nations especially Tristain was now struggling to regain there usual income, also troubled to pay there labourers who is now complaining of there low salary. That's why he accepted this risky requests in exchange of golds, in that way he can restore the income he lost after the first civil war just for a bit.
The tristainian captain slowly accepts the letter with still disbelief in the merchant's words, but if it's true then the rumors they've just heard all along was probably them? While having a conversation, unbeknownst to them there was a group of workers looking at them secretly.
"Alright, we will escort your ship up to the port bur not allowed to dock in until we confirm this letter of proof." The captain said his decision in this matter.
"Please do so." The merchant accepted the decision. So far so good, all they need to do is to land but still nervous in some way. His concern was the letter itself, he hopes that it will not cause a problem to them for if it busted they'll be doomed for good.
(The Royal Palace Of Tristain)
Queen Henrietta in her working desk reviewing all papers in front of her when she was interrupted by a sudden barge in of her personal bodyguard Agnes holding a letter. The queen saw her uneasiness as she approach, as if she receive a something disturbing... well it was really disturbing though.
"Your majesty, sorry for disturbing you but you must see this!" Agnes hand over the letter in her hands. The queen accepts the letter and quite confuse by it.
"What is this?" Henrietta confusingly asked looking at the letter.
"It said it came from Albion... from prince Wales." Agnes replied with small amount of trepidation. Henrietta widen her eyes in complete shock, she was completely caught off guard to that.
"Wales...?"She muttered in shock, looks back at the letter and immediately opens it. She reads the contents of the letter and after a few moments of reading it, her eyes started to water and tears started to flow with a clear shock. It was indeed a letter from him, she didn't know how but it was definitely him. The handwriting and the message written there that him and her only knows. They've been secretly sending letters in the past and she is the only one knows her beloved cousin/lover of it's handwriting and how he writes. It's impossible for anyone to copy his handwriting and the way he wrote with her knowing very well about it so she is hundred percent sure that it was really him who wrote this.
"Your majesty?!"Agnes was suddenly worried to seeing her suddenly crying out of nowhere.
"Your alive..."Henrietta in tears unable to comprehend feelings now, it was an unexplained feeling suddenly rose up in her chest. Her hands trembling and she was now thinking if this is was a dream.
"Your majesty, are you alright?!" Agnes calls her out of her stupor. Henrietta snaps back and looks back at Agnes.
"Agnes...w-who sent this?" Henrietta asked in trembling voice.
"A merchant ship from Albion was spotted by our patrols attempting to cross our boundary. The merchant onboard claimed they are from the royalists faction and they want a trade to our shores to restore there war effort and that merchant is the one who brought this letter. He said that you can confirm the authenticity of this letter." Agnes informed her fully. After hearing this, Henrietta focused herself and think wisely as she needs to regain her composure now. She is now the ruling monarch of this nation and she must take a decision regarding this serious information.
"Summon the advisers and officials, we will have an emergency meeting about this." Henrietta ordered.
"Yes your majesty!" Her bodyguard immediately comply.
(Palace Meeting Room, Tristain)
An immediate summon causing the queen's trusted loyal subjects to hurry themselves. They've become worried as there might be a big problem regarding their enemies that needs an urgent call for a meeting. Instead, what greets them was the new information that shocks them in silence. They can't believe that the albionese prince is still alive so how is this happen?
"H-how is that possible, I thought he was killed?!" Gramont said in disbelief.
"Y-your majesty...are you sure it was him and not someone else who wrote this letter just to trick us?" Her cardinal and one of her advisers Mazarin asked her in concern. A possibility for him that the letter is a trap.
"I am sure that it was him. He wrote something in the letter that him and I only knows, a code to be exact." Henrietta replied with assurance while holding the letter tightly. The people present in the meeting whispered among themselves. If her majesty was sure of it then it must be true. Still, some of them was not convince yet.
"The merchant that sent the letter here, where are they now?" It was general Calincourt who asked this time.
"They currently at the port of Rosais but they forbid to dock temporarily until we verified this letter they sent to us." Agnes is the one who answered him.
"They said they want to trade with us right?" Duke Valliere then asked.
"Yes, they want to trade with us to supply there war effort." Henrietta answered.
"I still not convince in this, what if they are reconquista and wanted to trade with us for there own benefits because there own resources now is near depletion?" The duke of Valliere house still not believing the information they got. He is a kind of man that would not easily be convince by some piece of letter even if the queen authenticate it.
"It doesn't make sense. Albion is known for it's flourish lands so it's impossible for them to become short of resources just like that and there land is enough to sustain them in this war for long. In fact, Tristain is the one who imports foods from them before." Zaric after a long silence voiced out her opinion but still pondering into this sudden news. All of them thinks what she says, it really doesn't make sense for Albion to trade for resources if they have a good land there. But for the royalists account, since reconquista is now controlling almost all of Albion they needed a trade to maintain their supplies.
"Wait, then...the war and the news we heard in Albion who defeating reconquista...was THEM ALL ALONG?!" Gramont exclaimed in the last part of this revelation. The other nobles present was thinking the same thing. It makes sense if it was but what intrigues them is about the news regarding about them.
"But according to the rumors, this rebellion is started by the commoners. Are you saying then that prince Wales is leading an army of peasants?" One of the nobles said in confusion. The recent victories was really disturbing them but if the prince is the one leading them then probably, but still not enough to pull out winning streaks against a more experienced army. Not only that he is leading an underequipped and inexperienced peasants.
"Then the rumors that they're made up of entirely a bunch of peasants must be false. There must be some mages in there ranks, they're royalists so maybe he manage to unite the remnants and recruit some peasants to form an army." Another noble let out his own conclusion. That's the only thing possible to happen, there's no other explanation about what's happening in floating nation right now.
"If prince Wales really survives then he is probably the one leading the rebellion there. Peasant would not dare to fight against an army with mages unless they've been lead by one. Then the uprising that's happening there will make sense at all." Mazarin said out his final thoughts about this. The nobles agreed and also conclude on that but Zaric on the other hand felt unease from this sudden situation especially to those merchants. For her, they seem to bit suspicious.
"So what are we going to do with those merchants now?" Gramont asked they finalize, all agreed in the same conclusion. The queen spoke.
"I'll give them permission to dock and trade with us and also I will assign some guards to keep an eye on them just in case." Henrietta decided. The rest of the nobles also agrees on her decision.
"Alright, this is all in the meeting. All of you dismissed." The queen then ended the meeting and all exited the room except Zaric and cardinal Mazarin.
"Your majesty, I want a request that I will also send some of my people there to keep an eye on the merchants." Zaric requested a permission to send her men to scrutinize this unlikely suspicious visitors.
"Alright, granted." Henrietta accepted her request then turns to her bodyguard Agnes.
"Agnes, send a summons to Louise and mr. Saito to meet me at my office." Henrietta let out an order to Agnes.
"Understood your majesty." Agnes bows her head and walks out of the room.
"Your majesty, I have a bit of concern about letting them dock at our ports. Are you certain that letter is from prince Wales?" The cardinal still have some doubts said. He wanted to know if the Henrietta was really sure about this.
"Yes, a hundred percent sure." She replied. Henrietta understands he's lingering doubts about the letter but she is sure to herself. She knows Wales very well and she can feel every words that was written in letter was indeed from him as she place it on her chest.
'I know it was you who wrote this.' She thought, but of course she's not only relying on gut feel. The contents of the letter also contains some secrets that only both of them knows including how they call each other. So she was certain it was him. The cardinal just sigh about it, he knows her when she was little and if she was sure about something then it sure it is. But Zaric on the other still not comfortable to this so-called royalists.
(Havilland Palace, Londonium Albion)
An eerie of silence filled the room. No one dared to talk about what happened in Plotsmouth. There great holy protector called a meeting regarding of what action they suppose to do to stop this heretics menace. A couple of weeks ago when news about the fall of the port city reaches the capitol. Cromwell when he heard it he was so infuriated that he ended up smashing the wine goblet he was drinking. He never accept this failure, he just sent one of his well experienced general along with some handful of mages and soldiers there to defend the port from possible attack but what reaches him is the complete obliteration of the whole army?! Unacceptable!
Not only that, he just lost the only vital port where he can station his invasion forces to conquer mainland and because of that the rebels denying him of his goal of uniting all of Halkeginia for there grand crusade for retrieving the holy lands. The rebels also make them completely isolated from the mainland and will never have a chance to contact there benefactor there. As he thinks about that his hatred to this rebel scums just grew tenfold.
"Why all of you not dare to speak?" He said in very intimidating voice. Hearing him spoke like that makes his officials present melted in their seats.
"I called this meeting to have your suggestions of you all here on how are we going to deal with this fiasco...and yet no one raised their voices? ARE YOU ALL DEAF?!" He said the last sentence with anger as he slammed his palms in the table causing all of the nobles present flinch in nervousness. As for the nobles, they have no idea how to deal with this. The rebels shows some skills that no one ever anticipated from them as if they're up against someone formidable and not this upstart commoners.
"General Bowood what are we suppose to do?!" Cromwell darted his attention to the general in mid 40's, one of his veteran generals in the first civil war. Aside from Dawkins, he also a well decorated general that lead reconquista to victory against the royalists. His leadership skills is exceptional but in front of this situation he didn't know exactly what measures they need to do.
"Your holiness... I think we need to throw everything we've got here in defence. Attacking them would be futile now that our forces are almost in half. We need to recruit more soldiers in our ranks and wait for them to come." Bowood stated, this is the best he can advise in this predicament.
"So are saying that we bolster our defences here in this capitol and prepare for their incoming attack?" Cromwell elaborate what he propose in a stern tone.
"Yes, we need to recall all our forces in the remaining towns and cities and regroup them here to strengthen the capitol and lure out the rebels in a decisive battle here.""Bowood added.
"WHAT, are saying that we abandon those places for the rebels to take over?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" A noble in the meeting blurted out by the general's proposal plan.
"It's not like we abandoning it forever, we just need the full might of the army in order to drew out the enemies in a decisive battle here in Londonium. We will retrieve this areas soon once we win the battle." The general justified his reasons of assembling the entire army for the battle that might decide the outcome of this war. The other nobles seemed to agree to his plan including Cromwell since this tenacious rebels already prove their threat to be reckon with and now they are within the capitols doorstep, but one of them suddenly spoke.
"Then how about those areas? The rebels will definitely going to raid those places for resources and even going to recruit more men in their army to increase their military power if we leave it to them." The noble voiced out his concerns about the flaws of that plan. The nobles began to think about it, it was really risky to pull out this plan because it will also give the opposing forces some advantages.
"No worries, I have a plan for that." Cromwell suddenly voiced out.
"What is it your holiness?" Bowood asked, wanted to hear his solution.
"We will execute a scorched earth on those areas." Their holy emperor flatly stated. A wave of gasps and shocks plastered on all the nobles present in the room.
"Y-your holiness what are yo-" Bowood was shock and was about to say something but Cromwell cut him off.
"You heard me right, we will burn down those towns and cities to deny the rebels of resources and manpower." Cromwell added as if he finalize his decision but the rest of the nobles seemed didn't feel well in it.
"Don't make me wrong, I'm doing this for the sake of god's will. We need to win this war in order to fulfil our destiny of uniting all of halkeginia for the final crusade against the elves residing in our holy lands. Such trivial sacrifices like this must be needed in order to fulfil it!" Cromwell spokes with resolve and authority. Reminding them as for what they all doing this for. The nobles then nodded in understanding, some things needs to be done in order to pursue there noble endeavor.
(The Royal Palace Of Tristain)
"WHAT, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!"Louise exclaimed in shock. She cannot believe what she heard.
'Prince Wales is ALIVE?!' She mentally thought in shock while Saito gives a grim serious expression.
"Your majesty, your saying that letter was really came from him?" Saito wanted to confirm her belief.
"I am certain mr. Saito." Henrietta replied with assurance. Saito then pondered deeply in thought. How is that possible? He was so sure that the prince was killed. There's no way he could survive that fatal hit in his chest. And most importantly, the chapel they were in was explode into blaze by the twinblade so it was so impossible for the albion prince to survive in that.
"But your majesty that's impossible, we saw him died back there!" Louise retorted. She was so sure about what happened back there because they've just witnessed it with their own eyes, same also in Saito.
"Your majesty, about the merchants that claimed to be royalists. They are at the Rosais port right?" Saito asked her.
"Yes, I've just give them an authorization to dock." Henrietta answered him. Saito was a bit surprised by that.
"Just like that, you give them a permission to land there?!" Saito incredulously said. She's just deciding things so hurriedly.
"I understand your concerns about this but I already send some people there for security measures. Also Zaric sends her own men there to watch those merchants movements." Henrietta assured him in ease. Saito was satisfied to hear that, at least they still aware of this people despite Henrietta was so sure that they are sent by the supposed to be dead prince.
"Good to hear that but still... I have some doubts about there claim." Saito still not convince stated his uncertainty.
"Yes I agree to that your majesty, it was impossible for prince Wales to survive! We both saw what happened to him back there and the chapel he was in was burned down along with Wardes!" Louise also agreed to him. They shared the same views regarding this.
"I know your unease and doubts but this letter... I know it was him who wrote this, the handwriting, the way it writes, and some secrets that only the both of us knows. I know I'm jumping to conclusions but when I read this, something in my heart tells me that I need to believe that it was really him!" Henrietta said with emotions slowly raising inside her. Saito just let out a sigh.
"Alright your majesty I understand your feelings but... by the way, where is Zaric now?" Saito suddenly remembers about the former soviet general. She surely already made her move about this.
"She is already back at her base as we speak to prepare his men to send to Rosais." Henrietta answered to him. Saito nods about it and also made his proposal.
"I also want to send some of mine there to investigate. If there's anyone who is good at gathering information it is my own unit." Saito stated his request.
"Alright, I will also allow that." Henrietta immediately granted, knowing how effective Saito's units when it comes to investigating.
"Now with all of this are settled let's put this matter later on." The queen said and then turns to Louise.
"Louise, how is your training going?" Henrietta asked, referring to her training of learning some void spells in the founder's prayer book that she gave to her.
"I-I'm still haven't figure out how to read the book your majesty..."Louise was a bit ashamed to say. She was entrusted this important task and still she gotten no results. Henrietta just nods in understanding.
"It's alright Louise, there's no need for you to be pressured or in a hurry. You will come to discover how to use it sooner or later." Henrietta eases her bestfriend which gives Louise a confident smile.
'Well good luck on how to read a book with no letters written inside.' Saito sighs with that and then pondered to himself on what they've heard earlier. If the prince of Albion survives then it means that someone rescued him but who? Is it the royalists? Probably no, they have no spare time to do that since they're busy fending off the reconquista siege during that incident.
'So who would it be?' That was a question rose up to his mind. Whoever they are, it was certain that they are the once who brought this letter. So what is their agenda of sending this? He does not want to make a theory from this so he needed to sent some people at the port to investigate this people posing merchants.
(The Port Of Rosais, Tristain)
The merchant ship from Albion was successfully docked at the port city. The royal messenger from the capitol arrived just a while ago saying that they have just given an authorisation by her majesty herself. The lead merchant was sigh in relief as the first phase of their objective was went smoothly without trouble. Now it's up to the infiltrators to complete the task.
The port city of Rosais was now brimming with activity. Some sellers from the abionese merchant ship unload there goods and products and started to do business. Among the workers who carrying the goods are the infiltration unit sent by the allies. Matilda among them who currently unloading some things down the ship along with her peers disguised as workers makes there step into Halkeginia mainland. For Matilda, she has a feel of nostalgia, this is her second coming in this land. They all placed there luggage down and the spy group leader speak to his peers.
"Alright, we manage to infiltrate the land. All we need to do is sneak in to there scoiety."The lead spy said to them and they all nod in understanding. While the leader giving them some instructions, Matilda suddenly sensed that someone was watching them. She secretly glance around and her sights stops at some random people who secretly looking at them with scrutiny. Thanks to her long experienced of being a thief her senses and awareness increases and her instinct was now use to that.
"Sir." She calls out their leader while still glancing at the people who monitoring them.
"We know." The lead spy replied to her still acting normal to not arouse suspicion towards their onlookers. They need to strengthened their disguise and make sure that their cover would not be exposed now that they are under surveillance.
"Act normal folks, we will communicate with each other through the earpiece. Having this conversation will get them more suspicious to us." The spy leader said to them quietly.
"Let's split up and find some place away from there sights and change our appearances once again." He continued and everyone slightly nods in understanding. They split up as per orders. Matilda went on her way to find a safe spot, as she found a good place she looks around on her surroundings first. When she ensures that no one else is there she began tinkering her eyeglasses. Within a few moments her appearance changes into a blonde haired woman with brown eyes, a typical tristanian folk. After that she activated her comms.
"This is Beta leader actual come in, are all of you in the line?" The voice of there leader sounded over the line. Multiple voices replied through there assigned codenames in the comms and Matilda also replied by the codename was given to her, codename Medusa. As there leader assumed that all was present and manage to change there disguises he then let out an instruction.
"Alright, we will gather at the designated area. All of you meet me at the city's plaza." The spy leader give them the meeting place and then his description.
"Meet me there at 1000 hours."The spy leader finalizes and cut off the line. Matilda herself without delay proceeded to there meeting location.
(Rosais Plaza, Tristain)
Matilda reaches the city plaza, here she saw a match description of there leader. She approach him and presented herself by saying there callsigns and the leader identified it. It seems she's the first one to arrive, maybe because she is familiar with this place and she's been here before when she was an infamous thief. Soon, one by one her spymates arrive in new looks. As everyone completely gathers, the leader then spokes.
"Now with everyone is here, let's start with this. First we have to find a way to travel to the capital. There we will start information gathering that we will send back to high command." The leader then turns to his one of fellow spies.
"Spectre, do you have the communication device?" He asked his fellow spy by the codename Spectre.
"Yes sir, it's in my bag." He replied while tapping his small armbag. How the communication device fits in that bag? Welp, they use shrinking technology to do that. They will back it in a normal size later on when they will use it. The said communication device they brought in was of a state of the art advance communication device. It has a strong private line system that no one could decipher, detect or even intercept. Thanks to futuretech they manage to create such a communication apparatus that the spies usually use for transferring data and information gathering.
"Good, that's all we need to do for now but while were at it try to gather valuable info on the road." The leader said and the turns to Matilda.
"Medusa, you will be our guide. You are the most valuable comrade out of all of us here. You already in this nation before so we will rely on your familiarity in this place." The leader said to her with serious tone.
"Understood." She replied affirmatively. After this short briefing the group then move out to there mission.
(Allied Base Command H. Q, Albion)
Stanford oversees the development of mass producing assault rifles and SMG pistols that the volunteer army will use. For the last weeks the recruitment grown to a thousands, coming from various villages that they liberated with new fights from Eidenburgh. They're still undergoing some allied military doctrine but already prepared for the battle and all they need is to be fully armed. He's currently at the test grounds watching the weapons testing when suddenly a peacekeeper officer approaches him hastily and quickly saluted in front of him.
"Sir, I have something to report with urgency." The peacekeeper said with professionalism.
"Speak soldier." Stanford replied.
"Sir about awhile ago, while we're monitoring the movement of the enemies in the capitol we spotted some enemy messengers in horse went out of the capitol spreading in all directions going towards in some respective towns and cities."The peacekeeper reported. Stanford now thinking about it. Probably the enemies are now starting to make there move.
"We manage to intercept one of them and captured the messenger to know the message they're about send and we got this parchment containing the message and sir... you need to see this." The peacekeeper then handed the parchment he was carrying to Stanford. The former allied commander then hold the parchment and unfolds it and read the content. Surprisingly, the abionese alphabet is very similar to the old english alphabet of the medieval era so he understands it a bit. Suddenly his atmosphere changes, he froze from midway of reading, the reason is he now fully understands the content of the message especially when he read the words "Scorched earth". His expression suddenly turns to an angrier one, with shadowing eyes that tense up the situation and the people around him.
"Those motherfucking assholes." Stanford curses under his breath while gripping the now wrinkled parchment in his hands.
"Soldier, summon the top brass. We will have and urgent meeting." He immediately ordered the peacekeeper.
"Yes sir!" The peacekeeper immediately replied and proceeded to leave. Then Stanford signalled one peacekeeper that escorted him to come closer.
"Inform the airforce command to prepare the harbinger gunships on stand by." He ordered to the escorting peacekeeper.
"Yes sir!" The said peacekeeper respond and saluted him before he walks to pass his command.
As Stanford seeing the retreating figure of the peacekeeper he turns his attention to the parchment he holds.
"Reconquista, you've gone too far now." He said with a cold voice.
TO BE CONTINUED...
HOORAY! Another chapter finished! I will try my best to update every month slowly so don't forget to R&R guys! Anyways here is the last profile about the last protagonist commander, hope you enjoy!
DISCLAIMER: I do not own his character just his profile background but not as the same in the original series.
CHARACTER PROFILE:
SAITO HIRAGA
FULL NAME: Saito Hiraga
BIRTHDATE: December 9, 20XX
BIRTHPLACE: Akihabara, Tokyo Japan
AGE: 20
PROFILE INFO:
From a respective family of samurais and a distant relative of the imperial family, Saito Hiraga was born as the youngest child of the family. His family is a part of the shogunate but not as higher than the shogunate leaders but still a respectable and quite influential family due to there origin. Saito has two older siblings, Higashi the eldest and the first son of the family and Hitomi the second eldest and the only daughter of the family. Being born as the youngest, it's expected that he inherit nothing from his family since his older brother would be the successor of their family name while his elder sister has already married to another shogun family. Saito decided to make his own destiny, that's why he decided to enter the military and serve the emperor. He enrolled in imperial military academy with his family's approval. In fact they've been proud of his decision since there family has been serving the imperial family along with the Toyama family for many generations also, following his father's footsteps who is a retired imperial lieutenant major. Surprisingly during his days in the academy, he was quite an exceptional. His skills was really above average in both strategic and tactical, but the one thing that he excelled the most is in the field of combat. In CQC and weapons training he is above the others, the reason why prince Tatsu notice him immediately and granted him a proposal and assured position in the army. He wanted to decline it but it was the prince himself who offered him so he decided to accept it. At the first days of war there first invasion attempt in Russia was quite devastating for the imperial army (thanks to Zaric) but Saito gained a lot of experienced from it as an army officer at an early age. It became more beneficial for him when they revived there forces and make him promoted to commander with the blessing of the prince and the emperor himself for the additional strength they needed in there second assault against the soviets and it seems that they didn't make a mistake of entrusting him such position despite his young age. The appearance is not important but what he can do for the empire and with that he brings honor to his family.
HINT: Saito was a descendant of Gennai Hiraga, a japanese scientist during the Edo period. Since both of them are different in contrast (Gennai is scientist while Saito is a soldier) still they have the same level of being wise. In the original series of the anime, Saito's character was inspired by Gennai ( I research it but still not sure if it's legit though).
That's all the profile. But in next chapter I'll make some Omake's in replace of this so see you guys in the next chapter!
Next chapter: Operation Freedom Angels
