[1216 Franklin Avenue Royal Woods Michigan]
An average Saturday at the Loud residence was as you'd usually expect. Very crazy and chaotic. And this is no surprise at all in a family with eleven hyperactive children even if one of the parents are home to try and maintain some semblance of order. At the very moment, the one and only male child of the family was in his room and taking a quick peak outside. Lincoln opens his door just a crack and looks to see that at the moment, the hallway was clear. Of course this could change at any given moment and his plan of getting out of the house unseen would be foiled if even just one of his ten sisters were to spot him. He was going to have to move quickly if he was going to reach the stairs, head down to the first floor and go out the front door.
The boy with snow white hair then breaks the fourth wall and looks to you the reader. "Oh hey there." he says with his trademark smile. "You're probably wondering what's going on. Well I'll fill you in once we're in the clear but first I need to get out of the house without any of my sisters noticing, So it's time to put Operation Quickly-and-quietly-sneak-out-of-the-house-without-any-of-my-sisters-noticing-and-be-back-before-they-realize-I'm-even-gone-and-also-think-of-a-shorter-name-for-this-operation in action." he says as he opens his door and exits his small bedroom.
The first room he creeps over to is the two youngest Loud siblings. Looking around the corner from behind the doorframe he notices that Lisa is at her desk and tinkering with some mechanism. This was very good because when the four year old genius was really focusing on her work she was less likely to notice anything unrelated to whatever her project was. Meanwhile the baby of the family, Lily was laying in her crib taking her afternoon's nap. The fifteen month old was snuggling her blanket and suckling her thumb with a smile, meaning she was having a very nice dream. So far, so good, that's two of them. Now he had to check out where the twins were and see what they were up to. So just across from Lisa and Lily's room is Lana and Lola's.
He presses up against the wall, almost like he's sneaking through enemy territory during a war. Very carefully he looks around the edge of the door frame to see Lola sitting at her little table. The six year old pageant princess was hosting a tea party with her stuffed animals and gossiping with them. Okay so he knew where Lola was now, but what about her twin? Needed to keep both eyes peeled. Dashing across so she doesn't notice him, he then tiptoed up to Lynn and Lucy's room. Again, looking through he saw the sporty girl shooting hoops from her bed and she didn't even see him peaking into her shared room. So now he knew where Lynn was, but Lucy wasn't there. The eight year old goth was probably hiding in the vents writing poetry again.
The man with a plan then dashed past, unseen by Lynn and snuck a quick peak into Luna and Luan's room. Now he already knew that his third oldest sister was in the garage with all of her amps at max volume and rocking it with her guitar. (Seriously, how her eardrums still worked he had no idea.) That left Luan standing on the stage in their shared room practicing with her dummy Mr. Coconuts.
"Hey Toots, did you hear the one about the Chinese Godfather?" she asked herself pretending to be her dummy. "I don't believe I have." she answered in her regular voice. "He made me an offer I couldn't understand." she said delivering the punchline then laughing to herself. "Good one Mr. Coconuts." she told him.
Lincoln did his best to resist laughing. Most of his older sister's jokes were kind of corny but every now and then she'd actually tell a good one and Link had to resist laughing at that one to avoid blowing his cover. So across from Luna and Luan's room was of course where the two oldest teenagers stayed. As before, he pressed himself up against the wall and took a peak around the doorframe of their bedroom. Leni was laying back against the head frame of her bed and reading the latest issue of her favorite fashion magazine while Lori was sitting on her bed in a lotus position texting. (Obviously Bobby) So far so good. It was then Lincoln also found Lana. The little handywoman of the Loud House was currently fixing the upstairs toilet.
So far so good. Everything was going exactly as he had planned. Lincoln then looks to you the reader again. "Phase one, complete. Begin phase two." he says as he quickly yet quietly heads down the stairs.
Assuming that all his sisters were upstairs and distracted with whatever they were doing he quickly ran downstairs and soon the front door was in sight. And right on cue, his dad was also getting ready to go.
"You about ready to go Lincoln?" he asked him as he grabbed his keys.
"Anytime you are." he replied.
"Alright, I've got to grab my list from the kitchen and I'll meet you out at Vanzilla." he told him walking out of the room.
Lincoln was about to exit the front door when his mother exited the basement. "Oh, where're you going Lincoln?" she asked with a load of laundry in her arms.
"Dad and I are taking off." he answered turning to his mother.
"Helping him with grocery shopping today?" she asked him.
"No just getting a ride." he told her. "Dad's dropping me off at the arcade on his way to the store. I'm meeting up with Ronnie Anne. We're going to hang out for a few hours, play some games and probably get some pizza and then Dad will bring me back later." he said smiling.
Rita smiled and left to fold the load. "Okay you two have fun." she told him.
"Will do Mom, thanks." he said smiling as he turned towards the front door again. His smile instantly dropped when he noticed he was now surrounded. Out of nowhere all ten of his sisters were smiling widely with all their attention on their brother. Poor Lincoln only had enough time to say "Oh crud..." before they all squealed with delight and excitement before swarming him.
While Lincoln was fending off the gaggle of girls, his father saw the chaos, carefully crept around and exited the front door to start Vanzilla. He then called out to Lincoln who barely managed to get out of the mob and closed the door behind him so they couldn't follow him while gasping for air now that he could finally catch his breath. As he headed to the large van, his sisters were waiting at the front door to see him off. All smiling brightly as their brother made his way to Vanzilla.
"Have fun with your girlfriend Lincoln!" Lola cheered as she waved.
Lincoln stopped dead in his tracks and turned to respond to that. "She's not my girlfriend!" he shouted back frustrated.
"Come on Lincoln." Lynn Sr. called as he honked his horn.
Lincoln turned so that his sisters wouldn't see him blushing while the girls all giggled and playfully teased their brother. He then got in and they were off. Meanwhile the girls all stood where they were for a moment thinking about Lincoln and Ronnie Anne.
"How long do you think until he finally comes around?" Lynn Jr. asked.
"Tisch not a queschtion of if, schimply a matter of when." Lisa answered briefly cleaning her glasses before the girls all went back to what they were doing.
Once in the van with his father Lincoln was able to relax a bit more although it did annoy him a little with how his sisters reacted. Why were they all so fixated on his relationship with Ronnie Anne? How many times did he have to tell them that they were just friends? Well he stopped thinking about these things and simply chatted with his father until they finally reached the arcade. Lynn Sr. told his son he was going to have to stop at several different stores to get everything on his list so he'd see him again in two, maybe three hours. That was totally fine with him because he and Ronnie Anne were looking forward to catching up plus there was a brand new team player game added recently and they were hoping to try it out together.
Lincoln didn't have to wait for her for very long. He took a seat at the bench just outside and about ten minutes later he saw Maria's car with his friend riding in the back. Both smiled and waved as Maria drove up to drop her daughter off.
"Hi Ronnie Anne." Lincoln greeted smiling.
"What's up Lame-O?" she asked as she got out of the car. "Hey thanks for the ride Mom." she said turning to her mother briefly.
"Of course." she smiled. "Now remember Ronnie Anne that we can't stay here for very long. I'm really happy that you get to see Lincoln again but it is a very long drive here and back. I have some friends I'm going to catch up with and then we have to head home again. So please don't leave the arcade, I'll be back in a few hours." she told her.
"Okay, sounds good." she replied.
"Hi Mrs. Santiago." Lincoln greeted.
"Hello Lincoln, it's wonderful to see you again." she told him.
"It's really nice to see you too." he replied.
"Anyway, I have to go now. Have fun on your date with your boyfriend Ronnie Anne." she said right before driving off.
Both Ronnie Anne and Lincoln were frozen in place with bright red blushes on their cheeks before Ronnie Anne got angry and shouted back. "He's not my BOYFRIEND!" looking a little steamed. She then saw the way he was looking at her and was worried she may have said the wrong thing. "Uh, sorry Lincoln. I didn't mean..." she said feeling uncomfortable and looking for the right words.
Lincoln wasn't offended and gave an understanding grin. "Your family too huh?" he asked.
"Ugh!" she said face palming. "You have no idea!" she said out of frustration and exhaustion.
[Flashback]
Ronnie Anne finished getting dressed and exits her room before making her way to the front door. On her way she passes her cousin Carlota who looked up from her phone to see her.
"Hey Ronnie." she said as she passed by. "You going somewhere?" she asked.
"Mom and I are taking a trip to Royal Woods. Lincoln and I are meeting up again for the first time in a while." she answered.
This got her full attention and she smiled. "Really? And you're going in that?" she asked gesturing to her clothes.
Ronnie Anne was taken back by that and looked down to see her outfit. "These are my everyday clothes. What's wrong with them?" she asked.
"There's nothing wrong with them really, but if you're having a reunion with your boyfriend then shouldn't you try wearing something a little nicer?" she asked walking away and her eyes on the phone again.
Ronnie Anne was taken back by that and blushed briefly then called back "He's not my boyfriend Carlota!" she shouted back but was irritated that she wasn't really paying too much attention.
She then continued on before encountering CJ who had his favorite pirate getup and wooden sword in hand. "Hey Ronnie Anne! Wanna play pirates with me?" he asked his cousin.
"Wow that does sound like a lotta fun CJ but not right now. I've gotta get ready to go." she told him.
"Oh really? Where are you going?" he asked with his toothy smile as she passed him.
"I'm meeting up with Lincoln today. We're going to the arcade together." she explained.
"Oh okay! Have fun with your boyfriend." he said as he ran off to play pirates again.
Ronnie Anne once again sighed in frustration then called back. "He's not my boyfriend CJ!" but by then he was already gone.
Of course she said this just loud enough for her aunt to hear her. "Oh that's a real shame. Lincoln is such a nice boy and you both seemed so cute together." Frida commented as she walked past her niece carrying a load of laundry to fold. "I can tell there's real chemistry there." she told her.
"Aunt Frida." Ronnie Anne groaned blushing a little.
"Well maybe it's a gradual thing." said her uncle Carlos. "You know Frida and I started out at first as just childhood friends but over time things really took off." he said giving his wife a wink.
Frida giggled at that. "They certainly did." she replied in a very playful manner before walking past her husband and giving him a playful pinch on his backside causing him to gasp in surprise.
"Uncle Carlos, Aunt Frida, ew." Ronnie Anne complained seeing them get all flirty before running off.
She exited the hallway and entered the living room where Hector was relaxing with his guitar resting on his lap. He noticed his granddaughter and flashed her a smile. "Hey Ronnie Anne, you in a hurry?" he asked.
"Oh hey Abuelo, Mom's taking me to Royal Woods for a few hours." she replied as she grabbed her shoes.
That was when Rosa exited the kitchen stirring some batter in a big bowl. "That's quite the drive Mija, why so far?" she asked.
"Lincoln and I are meeting up at the arcade Abuela." she answered. "Since we live so far away he and I don't hang out as much as we used to so we wanna catch up." she told her.
Rosa smiled at that. "Well I hope that you two enjoy your date." she said entering the kitchen again.
Ronnie Anne only blushed again. "Um, Abuela he's not my boyfriend, we're just catching up." she replied.
Hector laughed. "She didn't say he was your boyfriend Ronnie Anne, she just wanted you two to enjoy your date." he remarked.
"Ugh, it's not a date either Abuelo! And he's not my boyfriend!" she said getting more irritated.
That was when Sergio flew in and landed on Hector's shoulder. "Denial!" he squawked.
Ronnie Anne stomped off and out the door. In the hallway she saw her cousin Carl smirking. She already knew what he was thinking and walked right passed him. She blushed again when he started singing.
"Ronnie and Lincoln, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" he chanted with an evil smile.
She turned to reply "Real mature Carl!" but only scowled when he laughed harder seeing her blush. She didn't want to argue and only slammed the door behind her as she made her way to her mom's car. As she was getting in, she heard him finish his teasing.
"First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Ronnie with a baby carriage!" he laughed as she slammed the car door shut.
[End Flashback]
Both kids were dancing in sinc to the DDR game as they matched their steps to the arrows on the screen. They were doing great and so far hadn't missed a single step. Both shot a glance to one another and smiled while they danced and within a few moments they ended the dance making the new high score.
"YES!" they both cheered as the high fived one another.
"That was awesome!" Ronnie Anne said as she and her friend typed in their initials. "You were great Lame-O." she told him.
"Are you kidding me? You were awesome! I'm surprised we were able to keep up at this level." he replied.
That was when they heard a voice over the intercom. "Number 32!" a man's voice echoed.
"Hey our Pizza's ready!" Ronnie Anne told him.
"Perfect timing." Lincoln replied.
The two of them picked up the pizza and made their way to their shared table. Lincoln sat across from Ronnie Anne and soon both were enjoying hot and delicious pizza after a fun session of video games.
"I'm real glad that we're able to meet up again Ronnie Anne. It's been a while since we were able to get together and hang out again y'know?" he asked.
Ronnie Anne raised a single brow and smirked before swallowing and responding to that. "Get together?" she asked back.
The white haired boy gulped and blushed. "I don't mean "together" together!" he said quickly trying to clarify.
The Hispanic girl laughed briefly before replying. "It's alright Lame-O I know what you meant." she told him before taking a sip of her soda. She then was briefly serious as she spoke again. "But seriously, I really wished our families would just get it already. How many times do we have to tell them that we're just friends?" she asked him.
"I hear that." he answered. "My sisters are such a pain about my relationships. I had to try and sneak out of the house because I knew how they were going to react when they found out I was meeting up with you again." he told her.
"My family is exactly the same way." she replied. "I have to say over and over again that we're not boyfriend and girlfriend." she said with mild irritation. That was when she saw Lincoln's expression. "Uh, no offense Lincoln." she said with a sorry smile.
"Oh, no don't worry Ronnie Anne I understand." he replied quickly with a small smile of his own.
They then both said at the same time "I mean it's not like I don't like you..." they said together before they froze and blushed. Lincoln then took another bite of his pizza while Ronnie Anne took another sip from her soda. There was a brief yet uncomfortable silence. Not awkward really, just embarrassing. Finally, Ronnie Anne was the first to speak up.
"Lincoln, I know that I've been telling everyone back home that we're not a couple, but it's not like I haven't been thinking about it." she confessed.
The boy was taken back by that a bit. "Really? Well why haven't you ever brought it up during our skype calls?" he asked.
"I...I don't know." she admitted while rubbing the back of her head. "I guess I didn't want to bring it up because of how far away we live from one another. Long distance relationships are pretty hard to do." she told him.
"I guess that makes sense." he replied rubbing the back of his head too.
Ronnie Anne then got his attention again. "Have, you thought about it too?" she asked him.
Lincoln took only a second before answering. "Ronnie Anne, I really do like you." he said with a genuine smile. "You're a lot of fun to hang out with and I really do wish we can see each other more often. And I'm not talking about through skype, but like this." he said gesturing to the arcade around them.
But Ronnie Anne took it in a different way. "You mean, like a date?" she asked blushing a little.
Lincoln blushed too because he clearly didn't pick his words the right way. But a date wasn't a bad thing was it? "Well, yeah. I guess so." he said smiling.
There was another brief yet less awkward moment of silence before either of them said anything and then Ronnie Anne spoke up again. "So how about it Lincoln? Do you really like me?" she asked him.
"Of course I do!" he said sincerely.
"I mean "like me" like me." she said trying to get it across without directly saying it.
Lincoln paused for a moment, processing it before he got what she was implying. He was stunned but wasn't intimidated and gave her a straightforward answer. "Yes. Ronnie Anne I really do like you. "Like you" like you." he told her confidently.
Ronnie Anne blushed but smiled. Lincoln being this honest and telling him how he really felt about her was flattering. She felt butterflies in her stomach but decided to go ahead and tell him how she felt too.
"I do too Lame-O." she said getting him to smile back just as widely as her. "In fact I wanna give it a try." she told him.
"You mean?" he asked.
"Yeah, I do." she said sincerely. "I think we should try taking things to the next level." she told him.
Lincoln thought on that for a second when a thought crossed his mind. "But what about the long distances? We live three hours apart." he told her.
Ronnie Anne's smile dropped when she heard that. She didn't take that into account and now had some doubts. "Well, I'm sure it would be tough but if Bobby and your sister are able to make it work then why can't we?" she asked him.
However Lincoln noticed how she looked a little unsure herself. "But?" he asked.
"I want to try this out Lincoln, I really do. But...what if it doesn't work out? What if we end up breaking up in the end?" she asked him back.
Lincoln thought on that for a moment but then smiled. He was the man with a plan after all. "Well, let's make a promise to each other." he said smiling. "If things don't work out, let's promise that we'll still be friends afterwards. Because even if I can't be your boyfriend in the end, I still want to be your friend Ronnie Anne." he told her sincerely.
Ronnie Anne smiled again. "Okay, I'd be willing to make that promise if you will too." she told him.
"Great." he said before taking another bite of his pizza.
"But also make me one other promise." she said leaning back in her seat with her drink in her hand.
"And what's that?" he asked her.
"Promise me that we'll never act anything at all like Bobby and Lori." she told him remembering how gross and flirty those two were ALL THE TIME.
Lincoln grimaced at that. "Ugh! Definitely!" he said cringing at the very idea. The both of them shared a good laugh about it before resuming their lunch. "So, are we making it official?" he asked her.
"We sure are Lame-O." she said smiling.
"Great. So, we still have another hour before we have to split up again. What game should we play next?" he asked.
Both of them actually had the perfect game in mind.
[Play "The Only Thing They Fear Is You"]
It was the newest game at the arcade. DOOM ARMAGEDDON. An interactive virtual reality game that involved one to two players wearing visual helmets and holding controllers shaped as guns as they progressed through a Hell on Earth game where they play the Doomguy. A really angry Space Marine and one man army who slaughters the hoards of hell using a large array of guns, grenades, flamethrowers and chainsaws while Death Metal plays in the background. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were already having a blast as they ruthlessly killed a near endless wave of demons with machine guns and shotguns or with a chainsaw while striving to find ammo and gasoline to keep fighting demons.
"This has to be the best date I've ever gone on Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln shouted as he blasted several demons into bits with his Super Shotgun.
"I hear that!" she shouted back as she carved her way through another demon with her chainsaw. As they killed the last few and prepared for the next round, a thought came to her mind. "Hey Lincoln?" she asked.
"Yeah?" he asked back smiling.
"How are we gonna tell our families?" she asked.
His smile dropped. "About what?" he asked back.
"That we're officially a couple now?" she asked him.
They both stopped what they were doing. They really didn't think about it when they were talking about it earlier. "Well...who should we tell first? Your family or mine?" he asked her.
[Author's Notes] So two things. First, I know that Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are only eleven in this so obviously they're way too young to be playing something like DOOM but bear in mind that Lucy is a fan of H.P. Lovecraft and she's only eight so I don't think it's beyond reason in the Loud House for Lincoln or Ronnie Anne to play games that are rated M for obvious reasons. But the second thing is who do you guys think Lincoln and Ronnie Anne should tell first? The Louds or the Casagrandes? Leave your vote in a Review and which ever family gets the most votes will be the family the both of them break the news to first.
As always thank you all so much for reading my stories. Please leave me either a Review if you liked it and if you have other thoughts and ideas you wanna share or just wanna chat shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you. I try to respond to all my readers when I get the time.
This is Dragon1990 signing out :-)
