"Alex?" Kelly yawns her searching hand coming up empty as she reaches blindly toward the other side of the mattress. "Alex?" she tries again louder now as she pushes herself up onto her elbow to see if maybe due to her current size her puppy-sized girlfriend hadn't been able to scale the human-sized mattress and instead had to settle for curling up on the floor instead.

Again, her hunt came up empty.

Well, empty of a sleeping puppy that is.

"You're lucky you're cute, Danvers." Kelly huffed scooting farther down the bed after making sure there weren't any more 'little presents' waiting for her. Not that she could be too upset considering it wasn't Alex's fault when she'd lose her more human mind in the grips of whatever it was that had caused her current state.

"We're gonna need more paper towels." She determines running a hand in her sleep-tossed hair. "and definitely a few packs of training pads." She knew how humiliated Alex already felt with the idea of using the restroom as a dog but until they found a way to reverse it….

Kelly takes a steadying breath and picks up her phone from the charging stand beside her side of Alex's ridiculously large bed already making a mantel list of things she'd need to pick up as she punched in the number she needed.

"Hey, Kara, sorry to call so early" she greets when the call was eventually picked up. "but would you mind Alex sitting for a little bit? I need to run to the store for a few things, but Al has a hard case of puppy brain at the moment….." Kelly goes on before the woman on the other end could do more than give a raspy 'Hello' in a way of a greeting "Oh Lena, h—hi." She stammers surprised as she pauses long enough to finish inspecting each of her chewed shoes before she put them on just in case there were any other 'surprises' she hadn't found yet for the woman on the other end of the line to speak up.

She takes the phone from her ear under the pretext of cooing over a still puppy-sized Alex who if she was hearing it right was currently in the bathroom having the time of her life having an epic one-sided fight against the door stopper again. More or less a repeat of what she'd done after dinner the night before.

Kelly can still hear each of her girlfriend's gleeful barks punctuated by the low thumping of the small metal piece that had taken over so much of Alex's puppy-like attention.

Yeap the caller ID reminded her clearly, she had in fact called Kara's cell phone.

Interesting.

"Is Kara…." Kelly starts to ask as Lena gives another yawned sigh over the line. By the sound of it the raven-haired woman was still in bed herself.

Also, interesting.

And was Kara asking about where her bra had gotten to in the background?

"Try under the bed, honestly—it's not like I was interested in anything besides getting the darned thing off-." Lena suggested in a low purr that Kelly will deny hearing if asked about later before the call was clicked over to speaker as a chuckling Kelly follows the sounds of another successful attack on the evil of the bathroom door stop toward her own happy-sounding girlfriend.

"Morning Kara." Kelly greets then presses the phone against her shoulder in a much better attempt to muffle what was being said as she cranes her neck around the half-open door to meet the now upside-down face of her four-legged lady love still attempting to tug the door stop from the wall from the wadded confides of 'M. Sawyer's' jacket Alex had taken to drag around with her from room to room since finding the thing. "I win." She says simply giving the confused puppy a smug wink as she returns to her call.

"Of course, we had a bet going." Kelly laughs at the echoed sounds of surprise from the newly found-out couple on the other end of the still open line. "Thanks for helping me win it." She adds "Now come look after your older sister while I make a quick run to the store, please." She instructs the same time Alex seems to have lost interest in beating up the door stopper and was now turning her attention to dragging her favored jacket with her back to the small collection of toys Kara had thought to buy her 'for cover' until whatever had been done to her was reversed.

"And seeing as I don't want to leave you by your lonesome and risk you taking your cute anger out on my other little babies or my shoes," Maggie was saying as she moved around the room getting dressed for the day while puppy Alex stretches out even more in the small sunny patch at the middle of the bed.

At the mention of her other 'babies' Alex's sleep hazed eyes following Maggie's to the lines of carefully looked after Bonzi plants lining the living room wall just visible from the open bedroom door then down to the small collection of kicked off boots beside the locked front door. "and cause I know you're not completely house or well apartment broken yet and that little problem only heightens when your stressed out like say if I leave you alone and another storm hits like they say it might…." Maggie goes on running a hand through her tangled hair.

Alex's ears perked up at that. 'Not fully housebroken and it's only worse with stress' Alex inwardly pails at that. 'Rao help Kelly then….and the apartment's hardwood.' she pleads in her mind while a pained whimper comes from her throat.

"Hey, hey, it's alright Gracie." Maggie assures misunderstanding the reason behind the sudden show of unease. "it's alright." She repeats rubbing a soothing hand down Alex's sun-warmed side "We'll get there." She promised scratching affectionately under Alex's furred chin. "But until then, you get to come with me for the day. Won't that be fun?"

Apparently, her ex had taken the day off work to help a few friends Maggie had yet to actually name other than calling them her supposed puppy's 'aunt and uncle' with moving the last of their things into their newly purchased apartment.

Alex only yawns and stretches out her eight-week-old puppy body as far as she can while still enjoying the early morning sunlight against her fur.

She'd gotten so used to waking up with Kelly she'd forgotten how much she'd missed the lazy mornings she'd shared with Maggie.

Alright, she hadn't interlay forgotten she treasures each moment wonderful or painful that she'd shared with the woman who at one point would have been her wife. That wasn't to say a few of the morning she and Kelly had shared so far wasn't enjoyable, but this- with Maggie—

it just felt…

Different.

"Okay Miss smarty paws." Maggie sighs as she pauses to glance over towards the adorable woman making herself even more comfortable in her bed. "how about we compromise." The Latina bargains "I take you to the grocery with me and you can take another nap in the cart while I stock up on munches for the rest of us?" she amends still standing half-dressed in front of the end of the twin bed.

A simple yet sporty style bra and a pair of comfortable dark-washed blue jeans. Now if only she could decide on a shirt.

Alex's tail thumps agreeably against the unmade bed at that suggestion. Or maybe it was the view, but Alex wasn't about to admit to it considering Maggie had no way of knowing just who she was talking to at the moment.

"Goof." Maggie laughs leaning over to press a soft kiss between Alex's half-closed eyes before turning back to her shirt hunt.

"Bingo baby." She exclaims seconds later as she spies the very one, she had been unthinking hunting for tucked away at the near bottom of her shirt drawer.

It was one she'd unintentionally, but totality knowingly and deliberately stole from her ex-fiancée and Maggie wasn't the least bit upset by it as she pulls it free and turns back to her dozing puppy with a proud 'What do you think?" as she shakes out the shirt in question for inspection.

'So that's where it went. You sneaky clothe thief,' Alex thinks as she rolls up onto her paws unable to tear her eyes away as behind her, her tail was beating the air in a happy blur that would make the Flash envious.
