"You do realize I'll be taking her with me when I leave right?" Alex hears Maggie ask from the direction of the kitchen as she was once again lifted into the air above the giggling figure laying out on the sofa, they'd so recently switched out for the old one now waiting out in the rented truck to be dealt with after the agreed to break the trio was now taking.

"Yes, but you are not leaving now. We haven't had supper yet." The blonde agrees in a voice so similar yet strikingly different to the one Alex was used to coming from those lips.

"Just so we're all on the same page here." Maggie smiles going back to her self-given task of mixing up a sweet treat for the more human occupants of the newly rearranged apartment whilst the other in the kitchen with her chuckled at the back and forth as he twisted off the cap off the freshly pulled out root beer.

"Or we could be lulling you into false security before we dognap that cutie of yours." He offers taking a small drink as he leans back against the counter with a newly stollen gummy worm hanging out of the corner of his grinning lips.

Maggie laughed in a much more carefree laugh than Alex had heard the last day and a half as she playfully brandishes a cream and cookie pieces coated spoon at him. "Just try to take my dog, soldier boy. I don't care where you go, I'll find her and you."

"My soldier." The blonde still holding Alex hums with a proud smile even going so far as to tug at the dog tags her chuckling housemate wears as a way of pulling him down for a not so quick kiss between the two after the soldier delivers the soda she'd asked for after making herself comfortable on the sofa.

"God, you two are giving me cavities." Maggie groaned a statement Alex echoes with a low bark of her own when after a small separation by the need of air the giggling couple resumed their kiss.

In the short time, she'd been listening to the traded banter as the three worked with Alex attempting to be helpful in any way, she could with dragging different tools to them if they were too heavy for her to carry outright between her teeth Alex learned that after both their break up and the recreation of the Earth, Maggie had met the more soldier-like version of Winn first after he'd applied to the Gotham police department as a combat instructor for new cadets.

That it was Winn after a few dates after their initial meeting at a roller derby event of all things that ends up bringing the more Linda Lee copy of Kara into the pairs easily built friendship.

"Sorry, Mags." Linda blushes as Winn straightens up with an equally guilty smile.

"S'alright." Maggie shrugged twisting the cap from a beer. "I'm happy for you, truly." She promised taking a long drink.

"My offer still stands, you know." Winn reminds catching Alex's attention from the ball Linda was attempting to distract her with.

Maggie chuckles checking on the still cooking food they'd complied before joining her friends on the now larger sofa. "Thanks, but no, thanks hot, Schott." Alex's ex sighs tapping at her knee in a quiet offer Alex wasn't about to turn down as she scrambled from one side of the couch to the other with a loud happy bark. "See, I have all the lady love I need right here." Maggie smiles pressing an affectionate kiss on Alex's head.

"Oh, that reminds me," Linda starts the same time Winn gives a teasing "Great you're going to become one of those crazy women who replace human relationships with animal ones just because some random woman broke our heart, aren't you?" that earns a pillow being thrown at his head by a laughing Maggie Sawyer.

The others are drawn back toward the low volumed new cast that had cut into the backing show none had really been watching since plugging the tv back in as Linda pushed herself off the couch with a giddy giggle as she hurried to the bedroom with a playful wink in Winn's direction.

Had she been human Alex would have gasped at seeing another version of herself ducking for cover as the live footage of a fight uptown from the newly married couple's apartment played out on the screen. Then she had to remember that no one outside her tight group of friends knew about her current problem of training her thumbs for puppy paws. She'd have to remember later to thank either J'onn or M'gann for covering for her as she watched her more hero-liked persona use a rather spectacular take-down move as the cameras continue to roll.

"What's up, Sawyer?" Winn asks when Maggie's eyes immediately narrow in suspicion as she takes another sip of her drink when the news feed cut once again from the new Guardian back to Alex's more Sentinel persona.

"I'd know that…that woman anywhere." Maggie says gesturing to the 'Alex' on the screen. Even Alex knowing her ex was trying her hardest to keep from saying she knew that butt anywhere considering the fresh shot was of 'Sentinel's' from behind as she and Dreamer work together once more to take down the newest threat to their city.

Alex didn't know to blush or hide under a chair as she watched the gears turn in her detecting ex's mind the longer, she stared at the tv screen.

"And?" Winn asks obviously confused

"And that isn't her." Maggie says flatly

The real Alex only managed to scramble toward what she hoped was the bathroom before her nerviness reached her bladder causing a fear-induced accident she really could not handle right now.

To say Kelly was more than a little distracted during the fight was an understatement.

More times than she'd liked to admit M'gann under the guise of Sentinel had needed to step in to pull her out of the line of fire.

"Look I understand your worried for her." Alex's voice says as the pair stay hidden behind an overturned car "but now isn't the time to be distracted." Her mind-reading alien friend points out before in a very good imitation of Alex's real fighting style stands and fires a few well-placed rounds at their oncoming opponent.

"Brainy said the longer she stays puppy the harder it will be to get; you-I..I mean her back." Kelly reminds reaching her arm out to block an attempted shot to 'Sentinel's' ungraded side.

"Guardian, listen to me." M'gann's rather than Alex's voice says using her code name just to be sure no one with even the smallest ability to lip-read would find out her true name. "Your love will pull thought. She is a strong fighter with a pure soul."

"But even if we do get her back, what if I lose her?" Kelly argues unable to fully meet her partner's borrowed gaze.

Another quick trade of firepower was had before M'gann speaks once more. "It is a risk we all must face in matters of the heart." She reasons catching her breath as she ducks back under cover narrowly avoiding a shot to her head.

Kelly can only node back in agreement as she accepts the hand 'Alex' gives before they make their final advance toward their weakening opponent.
