Fiendship
CHAPTER 1
5 AM
Tower of London
Lady Mary Seymour was in her quarters. The guard came in a few minutes to slide in food early for since she always woke up early for some was in the tower for setting her sibling Edward Seymour and Katherine Grey on fire. She was heavily suspected of being part of a big plot to overthrow the monarch, but it was still completely unproven besides a few hints. The physician noticed was a natural pattern in her sleep cycle since she got to the tower. But she wasn't tired this morning, she wasn't since she got a letter from France. They were wondering why a girl suspected of being in a rebellion was so calm and exhibited no traitorous signs at all. When the guard entered the tower, she took out pieces of meat from her dress, she had stored it aside from her meals past 2 days. She started a huge fire by throwing the tallow or animal fat in the fire she set to alert the guards. Then she rolled on the ground and quickly ran through the part she didn't light on fire, while the guards tried to maneuver through the big fire. And the other guard week distracted, by her throwing a fire torch and a bit of tallow at them. This surrounded them in flames
Then she made her way to the forest. She hid in the bushes and while the guards tried to put out the fire she made her way on foot to a port. Once she was at a port she snuck aboard a cargo ship headed across the English channel. She discarded the straps of her outfit by cutting it with a sharp branch and buried it.
When she got the fire under control, she made it to France. She dyed her hair after her escape.
Ludlow Palace
It was early as twenty-and-five-summers-old queen Elizabeth ate some sweetmeat with her favorites around her. The page announced Prince Edward, twenty of summers younger. He was born part of triplets, two of the triplets were conjoined twins. Edward's conjoined brothers were torso by a band of flesh, cartilage, and their fused livers. They were smuggled out after birth and no one knew about them until Edward became king. Their identities were revealed and Jane Seymour, who was alive at the time, admitted the truth. They were considered a bad omen and monsters; it was believed Edward was marked by the devil because he was born with them. So Edward had to abdicate his throne to Mary. But Mary Tudor was kidnapped by Edward's trusted men, while Edward was still king, pretending to be pirates, since Mary refused to stop preying by the Catholic faith. Elizabeth took the throne without Mary there.
A page announced Mary Seymour's escape. "She had escaped in a fire fueled with animal fat, saved from her meals. She had set her brother and Katherine Grey on fire and was likely part of a plot in North England. She started another fire to escape"
" I doth think your majesty must exercise caution," Robert Dudley said. "And always have your ladies around. As should you never go alone, your highness..."
At that moment a page announced Margaret Clifford, Elizabeth's childhood friend and 2nd cousin entered and curtsied. "Your majesty," Margaret greeted. Margaret was Edward VI's age with short, wavy, dark red hair. She was a kind girl with questionable habits, and while Elizabeth was older, she had the ivory-colored skin, green eyes, and shoulder-length golden red, curly hair that she styled high on her head.
