Hi everyone! Here we are once more moving on with this story.

Sydney was sitting in the backyard, she was hugging her knees, she wanted to cry but she had no more tears to cry, her life kept going lower and lower, it had been three days since her dad barely talked to her, two since her grandma and Olive went with her to the doctor and heard what she already knew: she was in a high-risk pregnancy. And two since she learned that she had been expelled from middle school. She almost screamed when the door burst open and in came Sophia, Emmy and Olive.

-IS IT TRUE!? - Sophia blew up

Sydney almost screamed as Emmy ran to her and held her hands.

-Why didn't you tell us? - the latina teen said

The brunette realized that Olive was standing at the door on the verge of tears.

-I… I had to… they heard what VicePrincipal Virmani said to the class…

-It's OK Olive…

-NO IT'S NOT! - Sophia blew up again

-Sophía…

-They can't do that you Syd… if you get expelled we all get expelled

-YEAH! Wait what? - Emmy said in fear

-Guys you don't need to do anything, I made a mistake and

Sydney's eyes opened wide as she felt Sophia's finger on her lips.

-We're the four amigas, we stick together for the good and twice for the bad. You should know that already.

Emmy held her hands.

-You were there for me when I needed you the most, actually all of you, so now I'm standing with you all.

Sydney stood up.

-no… you can't put your futures at risk for me… I made a decision and now I have to live the consequences… you did nothing…

-And that's what's wrong with all this, I talked to my mom and she said she'll check what can be done, we're not leaving you alone - Sophia added

Sydney closed her eyes

-OK, fine, but promise me that whatever you do you won't get yourselves expelled. Promise me that.

The three teen girls glared at each other before accepting the condition. But as much as Sophia's mom tried, the decision remained and Sydney had to change the classroom and all the school experiences she loved and cherished for homeschooling by her Grandmother who had to adapt her college schedule. But what hurt her the most was the cold attitude from her father.

-He hates me right grandma?

-No noodle, and he never will, it's just that he needs time to accept this situation.

But Judy knew there was another reason, a reason given to her a night when she decided to confront her son about his behavior.

-Sydney needs you and you are acting like a complete idiot!

-You really don't get it do you mom?

-Get what? Your daughter needs you!

-I'm scared, OK?

-Scared of what? She's the one who's pregnant and has her father bailing on her!

-I'M SCARED OF LOSING HER!

Judy stood there motionless

-Losing her?

-You really don't remember? I lost Alisha when Sydney was born… now I can lose my daughter…

Then Judy remembered and hugged her son.

-That's not going to happen Max…

Meanwhile time went by and after three months Sydney began to notice the bump growing on her belly, she looked up as tears ran down her cheeks.

-I'm sorry mom… don't leave me alone…

Needless to say that Olive, Sophia and Emmy were always there for Sydney, after school the three of them went to the Reynolds home to help her study and make sure she was up to par with them. They even invited her to participate in all school activities, at least until her situation allowed it. Although she hated keeping secrets there was something that only her Dad and Grandma Judy knew, something she talked about with her doctor in one of her control appointments.

-Well, it's you and me Sydney, what did you want to talk about?

The brunette closed her eyes.

-Dr. Whitewater… this is a high risk pregnancy isn't it?

The professional measured her words before talking.

-Sydney, you're almost sixteen, your body, although ready for giving birth since you were thirteen, wasn't completely developed for having a child growing inside. So yes, there are risks.

The teenager glared at her doctor.

-Don't lie to me Doctor, when the time comes… I.. I might… I might not… not make it right? Like my mom…

Alice Whitewater, a seasoned obstetrician, knew that the last thing a pregnant woman, and moreso, a teenager, was to add more tension and stress to the situation they were under.

-So far you're doing incredibly well Sydney. Let's concentrate on that now, OK? Let's get you checked OK?

The brunette nodded and silently walked to the examination room, unfortunately while she was being checked by Dr. Whitewater she felt sick and had to run to the adjacent bathroom, she was about to walk back in when she heard an exchange between the professional and her grandmother.

-I can't lie to you Judy, Sydney is a very healthy teenager but even so at her age her pregnancy is very high risk…

-You mean she can…

-I can assure you we will do everything we can when the time comes but yes, I'm afraid that's a possibility we can't rule out.

She could hear her grandmother sob, she closed her eyes wishing it was all a dream and that she was going to wake up in her bed with nothing of this happening…
