Max was frozen in place, had he heard right? Was his daughter having twin babies? Still in shock he sat in the nearest chair, sunk his head in his hands and began to cry. Judy sat beside him.

-She'll pull through, she's a strong girl. - she said

-Mom… I… I don't know if I'll be able to go on if she…

Judy was about to reply when Emmy approached.

-Excuse me… the girls decided to go to the chapel to pray… we thought you might want to join us… - the teenager said

Without saying a word Max stood up and followed the teenager. In the operations room Dr. Whitewater kissed Sydney in the forehead as she prepared to start the c-section she chose as the best way of giving birth for the teenager.

-OK Sydney, here we go, you have to be strong, OK?

As she began the procedure she continuously checked the girl's vitals as she knew that things could change in a nick of time. In the waiting room Harry arrived.

-Any word on Sydney - he asked

-No, it's been almost two hours… but nothing yet - Judy replied

Meanwhile Dr. Whitewater was concerned, as she prepared to remove the second baby from Sydney, she began to notice a drop in the vitals, something that one of the assisting nurses also noticed.

-Let's add one more unit of o-neg and tell me if the vitals change - she commanded

Meanwhile Sydney opened her eyes. She felt an immense peace in her, as she sat she found herself in a beautiful garden and wearing a white dress that was incredibly beautiful, she stood up and smiled as she saw all the beautiful flowers around her, she decided to take a walk, it wasn't long until she found herself at the entrance of a field filled with fruit trees, there were baskets filled with apples, tangerines, oranges, strawberries and all sorts of fruits, taking an apple she began to eat, the sensation and the flavor were incredible. Suddenly she heard giggles.

-Hello?

She walked a few more steps and saw a couple of little girls playing and running around. She found it odd that despite them running and falling around, their white dresses didn't have the smallest stains on them. As one of them sat and began to peel a tangerine the other walked curiously towards Sydney. The latter smiled at her.

-Hi! So um… can you tell me where we are?

The little girl, with long blonde hair, blue eyes, seemed like a younger version of Olive.

-I'm Ava… but… you're not supposed to be here… not yet at least…

Sydney's eyes opened wide.

-w… what? Be where? What are you talking about?

-You have to go back

-Wait… go back where?

-They need you…

Meanwhile Dr. Whitewater was running desperate, although the two babies were fine and healthy, Sydney was the total opposite, her blood pressure was dropping, she had to order her assistants to put her in assisted ventilation because she was barely breathing and although she was able to control the excess bleeding, the brunette seemed to have lost all will to live.

-Sydney don't do this, they need you…

-Doctor should we prepare the pads? - one of the nurses asked

-She's not fibrillating yet… Come on Syd…

Meanwhile elsewhere Sydney was trying to understand what the little girl was telling her, she was happy, at peace, why did she not belong in that beautiful place?

-But… this is beautiful… I feel so at peace, why do I have to leave?

-Because it's not time… you'll be here, but not yet. - Ava said

Sydney turned around and saw an infinite field of flowers and trees all over.

-A… and where… Where do you want me to go?

-Back home Syd - said a voice behind her

As she turned she saw her mother, glowing and beautiful.

-MOM!

She hugged her and saw her smile at her.

-I missed you so much…

Alisha caressed her daughter's face.

-And I have missed you too, but it's not time yet for us to be together

-w… what?

-You need to go back Syd…

-Please, I want to stay here with you…

-And I want you to be here… but it's not time…

-Mom please… I have missed you a lot…

At the OR Dr. Whitewater watched as one of her assistants applied a new dose of epinephrine in order to try and regulate Sydney's heart rate. In the waiting room Sophia is hysterical.

-THEY CAME TWO HOURS AGO TO TELL US THE BABIES ARE FINE! WHAT ABOUT SYDNEY!

Judy hugged her, she feared that the long delay only meant what she had seen happening the time when Alisha had passed away.

-Let's be strong girls…

Olive walked to them

-Grandma J… do you think…

-Let's just have faith Olive… let's just have faith

But in the OR Dr. Whitewater was slowly losing hope, she ordered the pads to be prepared as one last resource before having to make a decision. Elsewhere Sydney was holding her mother's hands with all her strength.

-I want to stay… please!

Alisha smiled

-In due time we'll be together, tell Max I love him.

Sydney was about to say another word when she felt her body explode from the inside out. At the OR Dr. Whitewater was running desperate.

-CHARGE TO 40! SYDNEY COME ON! CLEAR!

All present in the OR saw the brunette's body convulse, then suddenly, and slowly, her heart began to pump again.

-You did it… you did it Syd… you're back…

Two days later…

Sydney's hospital room seemed more like the room of a 10 year old due to all the toys there, the amigas were overjoyed to help her friend with the babies that now were named Ruthie and Ava as Sydney still remembered the girl she saw while she was in the OR. She noticed the look on Sophia's face.

-What is it?

-I think Ava doesn't like me very much…

-Why would you say that? You're her aunt.

For any response Sophía moved her away and Sydney began to laugh as she saw the stain on her sweater.

-Let me call the nurse so she can change her.

Suddenly the door opened and a huge teddy bear preceded its holder.

-Careful Mr. R, there's a lot of stuff here - Olive said

As he place the huge toy on one of the corners Max asked the girls to leave for a moment. They did and he sat on the bed holding Sydney's hands.

-What is it dad? - she asked

-I want to apologize for my behavior… - he said

-Dad it's OK…

-Sydney listen… I was afraid… scared to lose you… but either way… I shouldn't have acted that way…

Sydney hugged him

-It's fine. Everything is OK now. There's a lot of work on my way but I'll pull through.

-We will pull through, I'm not leaving you alone ever again.

As Sydney hugged her dad again, she could have sworn she saw her mom standing in the corner and smiling at her.

The end… for now.
