A/N: Hello! 'Tis I, Bluefeather4299 with a new Chapter! Yay. I know it's been a while, but life has been super stressful lately. My husband and I have been moving into temporary housing and looking for a more permanent living situation, along with getting into the grove of new jobs, and...I just haven't been able to do alot with writing. But, it's done now.

Anyways, this Chapter is a couple hours after the last Chapter. The fight is over, Sol is rescued (with Talon still with him, so he went to the hospital with the Mechling), and Delta is in the wonderful darkness of oblivion. You get a couple of explanation thingies in this Chapter on what's going on with him now, so...yeah. Also, the end of this Chapter kind of just...idk, happened (meaning I so did not plan for it to go this way), BUT, Bromance for the WIN!

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers in any shape or form. I only own the story and any and all OCs in said story. If there's someone you're not familiar with, it's probably an OC.

PLEASE COMMENT! I NEED CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM TO MAKE MY STORIES (PRESENT, FUTURE, OR OTHERWISE) BETTER!

His optics crack open, blearily taking in the familiar surroundings. Something was brushing against his helm, his mind not fully registering the feeling as he groans, feeling the pain pulse through his exhausted body.

His mind begins to clear, the surroundings coming into focus. He's in the now-familiar Realm of the Primes, lying on his back with Onyx curled around him. The massive beast Mech was rumbling as his tongue rasped against his helm, and a somewhat familiar Mech was crouched down next to him. He takes in the form, one name coming to the front of his mind.

"Vector?"

The Mech blinks, before chuckling.

"Not quite. Amalgamous. Vector and Prima are busy getting your body to safety. You did quite a number on yourself fighting that infected beast—you're lucky that you weren't infected. Though, using your powers to cleanse it of the Dark Energon was something we were not expecting to happen for a while."

Delta blinks. His tired mind had only caught onto half of what the Mech in front of him had been saying.

"'Getting my body to safety'…what do you mean by that?"

"Oh! Well, you basically over-used your powers to fight that beast, so once you fell into stasis, Vector and Prima basically projected themselves into your body and are in the middle of taking it to your friend's place so you can get taken care of. You weren't too injured, but it'll probably still scare the slag out of your buddy when you show up on his doorstep all beat up."

"But…why? Aren't I just in the hospital getting taken care of? Since…you know…there was all those rescue Mechs with me and everything?"

Amalgamous rubs the back of his helm, the chattery Prime no longer wanting to explain.

"Well…"

"When they tried to get close to you, your powers kept surging, keeping them away from your body." the gravelly voice brings their attention to a dark Mech, the form moving forward. "Basically, you went into a protective mode while in stasis. That's why Vector and Prima had to take over your body—it was so that you didn't kill anyone who tried to help. Pity, it would have been fun to watch that."

"Dammit, Liege. Why do you have to be so dark like that? It's disturbing." Amalgamous whines, his optics darkening slightly.

The black Mech grins, showing his wolf-like fangs in an eerie grin. Onyx grumbles, Liege Maximo backing away with servos lifted.

"Okay, okay. I'll leave them alone. Geez, you guys are such stiffs. See yah, kid."

He disappears, leaving the three of them. Amalgamous sticks his tongue out in the direction Liege had been standing, before turning back to Delta.

"Alright, Delta. Just sit back, relax, and get some rest until we're done getting your body to your bud's place. Then, you'll wake up in control again."

Delta leans back against Onyx, the Prime rumbling as he curls around him tightly. He could feel himself being pulled deeper into his mind and could feel himself relaxing.

"…this doesn't mean possession is on the table whenever you want…" he mumbles to the Prime next to him.

Amalgamous chuckles, patting his helm.

"Don't worry, unless fighting corrupted beasts on a monthly basis is on your bucket list, this is a one-time thing."

His optics crack open, blearily taking in the unfamiliar ceiling. His whole body ached, exhaustion filling him from helm to ped. Clattering reaches his audios. He tilts his helm, a familiar form greeting him.

"Smokescreen…?"

Doorwings jumping up in surprise at the raspy voice, the younger Mech whips around.

"Delta!"

He rushes over, servos being placed on his face.

"Primus, Delta. Are you alright? You scared the slag out of me and Magnus when you showed up on our doorstep only to collapse." He manages to calm, worry filling his optics. "How do you feel?"

He groans, placing a servo on his helm.

"Like I played Keep Away with the Insecticons."

He pauses, taking in the mesh bandaging on his arm, covering it from elbow to palm. He slowly sits up on the couch—despite Smokescreen's attempt to keep him still—taking in the sight of his bare chest, fresh welds still stinging slightly and mesh bandage keeping everything protected. His chest and torso were wrapped up, each vent painful. His protoform throbbed painfully with each sparkbeat.

"…where's my armor?"

Smokescreen rubs the back of his helm.

"Yeah…about that. It was really damaged when you showed up—and I mean really damaged. It took forever to get it off so we could take care of your injuries. I didn't take you to the Med Center because I know how you are with medics, but luckily your injuries weren't bad enough to need a Medic, so…yeah…"

Delta frowns. It's not that he wasn't happy to see Smokescreen, it's just…

Why did the Primes bring him here of all places?

"Speaking of Medics, I managed to get in contact with your dad. He said Solarstrike is doing good, and he and your mom are gonna stay at the hospital until Solarstrike is awake."

Oh. That's probably why.

He rubs his optics.

"Thanks, Smokey. For checking in on that. I appreciate it."

The younger Mech smiles. "No problem, Delta. I heard about what happened, and figured you'd want to stay in the loop about it."

He merely nods. A servo on his shoulder brings him out of his thoughts, and he turns to Smokescreen.

The white Mech smiles.

"C'mon. let's get you into the Washracks. You'll feel a lot better after you've gotten cleaned up and have some fuel in you."

Returning a small smile, Delta manages to get to his peds, slowly following Smokescreen down the hall to the small Washracks. Delta steps into the Washracks, taking in the small room. The appearance of it doesn't bother him—he only wanted to get all of the Energon off of his body. He steps over to one of the stalls, reaching up and switching on the solvent. Hot solvent crashes onto his body, burning all of the dried Energon away. He scrubs, the fresh welds stinging as he roughly cleans the Energon away.

Soon, he's finished, and sighs, leaning his helm against the wall. He stays like that for a few minutes, before lifting a servo to switch it off. He slowly dries off, jumping slightly when a servo is gently placed on his back. He tilts his helm, meeting Smokescreen's gaze. Apparently he'd taken long enough for the younger Mech to get worried.

"I…kind of forgot about the bandages." Delta mumbles, embarrassed.

Smokescreen smiles, "That's okay, Delta. You have a lot on your mind. We'll get more bandages and then you can get some Energon with us."

It's not until Smokescreen is grabbing the wrappings for his injuries that he remembers.

"Speaking of which, how is Magnus doing? It's been over a year since I saw him last."

Smokescreen smiles.

"He's doing good. Physical Therapy is almost done for him, and we've been able to get a lot closer as family, my living with him and helping him out."

The turquoise Mech hums.

"That's good. He's a good Mech—I'm glad he's been able to get better as fast as he has. Having his family probably helps alot."

Smokescreen pauses, tearing his focus from wrapping Delta's arm and lifting his helm. His optics narrow at the dull, far away look in Delta's optics.

"They're not gonna blame you, you know. You couldn't have known what was gonna happen to Solarstrike."

Delta nods, not fully hearing him.

Smokescreen lifts a servo, slamming his middle digit into Delta's forehead, causing the older Mech to yelp. His servo goes to his forehead, optics shining with offense.

"Did you just thump me?!"

He shrugs. "It seemed appropriate." His optics soften. "Look, Delta. I know you always blame yourself for bad things happening to those close to you. Optimus was the same way."

Delta flinches at the reminder.

"But it's not your place to blame yourself. Solarstrike is alive because of you and what you did. Yeah, you can feel bad about what happened, but don't think it's your fault it happened—you sent Talon with him, and because of that, you were able to get to him on time and protect him from getting hurt even further."

Delta sighs.

"Yeah…"

Smokescreen finishes up with wrapping Delta's torso, securing the bandages.

"You still wanting Energon?"

Delta shakes his helm.

"I…I think I'll pass. Not really feeling it."

Smokescreen nods, "That's fine. Just get some more rest. You can take my room—I'll show you where it is. When you've gotten enough rest, I'll give you the coordinates of the hospital your family's at so you can be with them."

Delta soon finds himself sitting on a berth in a small room, Smokescreen helping him adjust.

"There. All settled. Get some rest, Delta. I'll be here if you need anything."

There's silence, and then

"…Smokescreen?"

He pauses at the door, turning back.

"Yeah?"

Delta hesitates, and then shakes his helm.

"Nothing, it…it's stupid."

His optics soften in understanding.

"Do you want me to stay? Just for a bit until you can fall asleep?"

Delta nods. Smokescreen goes back over, sitting down on the berth and lying on his back. Delta lies down as well, curling into the smaller Mech's side, one arm coming up and wrapping around his stomach plating. Smokescreen returns the embrace, his chin resting on the golden helm.

"It's alright, Delta. You can let go now."

That's when the shaking starts, the wall that had been up crumbling into nothing.
