Lena found her fifth class in time for the bell. She walked with a charming smile she used on teachers and gave her schedule to the instructor. She looked around the class while the teacher signed and suddenly her smile turned into a smirk.

At the right corner of the room, there was a cheerleader with the familiar eyes she saw earlier in her Physics class.

"You can go sit with Quinn…Quinn, Can I have you raise your hand." Ms. Carlisle said as she handed Lena her paper back.

Lena gave Ms. Carlisle another smile and went to go to the cheerleader that's been seemingly wanting to kill her.

There were a few cheerleaders in the class, but Lena noticed that the blonde, now she knows as Quinn, and the brunette from earlier had a different air around them. And from what she heard about them from Alex, the pair was feared by everyone at school, and to add to that there was actually a third cheerleader that supposedly ruled the school. Alex referred to them as the 'Unholy Trinity'. Although the blonde was currently alone, looking around Lena could practically smell the fear from the students in the class.

Lena sat next to Quinn and got settled. She turned to her blonde seat mate and extended her hand with a smile. "Lena Luthor."

Quinn rolled her eyes, gave one look to Lena's hand and turned to the front. "I know."

Lena grinned at this. "You were in the class with Rachel this morning."

Lena couldn't help but notice Quinn's posture change once the name Rachel was said. Just like Rachel's reaction, it was barely noticeable. Quinn's back straightened the tiniest bit, and her writing hand had frozen for a good few seconds.

"You seem to know each other, are you guys' friends?" Lena whispered to her.

Quinn raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at Lena. "Is that what she's saying?"

Lena chuckled to herself. "No, I just assumed since you were staring at us this morning." Lena wanted to start a game.

Quinn gave Lena a good stare and decided not to play Lena's game. "No, we're not." She said calmly, turning away from her again.

Lena played clueless as she nodded but wasn't done with her questions. "Oh okay…Do you like her?"

Quinn's eyes widened. "Of course, not…I'm not…" She looked around as she quietly hissed the last word. "...gay."

Why so defensive Quinn? Lena scoffed softly as she nodded in response to Quinn. "Of course you're not…I meant it as do you like her as a person?"

Quinn flushed as realization came to her. She lowered her eyes to the paper in front of her. "No, she's a know-it-all rambling diva who doesn't care for anyone but herself."

"She doesn't seem like that at all." Lena defended the girl, already feeling close to the short brunette she met in the morning.

"Yeah, whatever." Quinn said curtly, not wanting to speak to the foreign student anymore.

Lena decided to stop bothering the blonde, as she seemed visibly upset. She despised homophobes, but she knew this girl and her brunette friend were going through something Lena liked to call self-defense-homophobia. She has experienced it in her old high school with her ex-girlfriend. She knew how to be mean, but she wasn't cruel.

She was bored, the topic of lecture was about something Lena already learned in her last school. She lazily looked around to see if anyone was paying attention, apparently only the blonde next to her was the only one that was trying to learn, everyone else was either snoring or just staring at their own desk. Lena sat up straight to subtly glance at the blonde's notebook, and to her prediction, there were only math formulas and numbers on the paper.

She was about to turn away but once Quinn needed more space to write she had to turn the notebook to the next clean page. But to Lena's surprise it wasn't clean at all. There were scribbles, Quinn had panicked and turned the page again. Lena leaned back and pretended she wasn't looking by the time Quinn turned to her.

Lena lazily looked at her, "What?" She pretended to be clueless to Quinn's panic.

Quinn straightened and turned back to the front with, glaring at no one in particular. She forgot that she had doodled on a random page when she was in a different class.

Pretending to not know Quinn's panicked state, she slouched and rested her chin on her palm. She had a small smirk on her lips. There was definitely the letter 'R' on the doodles that she panicked over. Quinn Fabray, how long have you known about your self-defense-homophobia?

After ten minutes, she was bored again, Lena decided to play another game with Quinn. "You know, Rachel's actually fun to talk to." Lena started, glancing at the blonde next to her.

"The dwarf doesn't really hold an interest from me." Quinn said in an emotionless voice.

Lena was impressed with how deep her façade went, if she didn't know any better, she would probably think that Quinn was telling the truth.

"Really?" Lena sat up and looked at Quinn. "She's so pretty and the way she speaks is kind of adorable."

The corner of Quinn's eye twitched after she heard the word 'adorable.' "Why are you even talking to me about her?" The blonde couldn't help the sentence from coming out harsh.

Lena smiled and shrugged. "Since you're not friends with her like you said, I'm just letting you know what you're missing out on~"

Ding-Dong-Ding-Ding

"Oh! That's the end of this boring class, see you around, Quinn." Lena left the fuming blonde and exited the room with a smirk.

Once Lena was out of room, she had to check her schedule because she still had to get used to it.

Principles of Science

"Oof" She cursed in her head as she bumped into another person for the second time. "Bloody hell!"

"I apologize…" said the person she bumped into.

Lena immediately recognized the voice. "Rachel, Hey, I'm sorry."

"No, I believe the fault is on me since I wasn't paying any attention to where I was walking." Rachel said.

"Then we're both at fault then, I wasn't looking either." Lena said smirking. "But if you really think it's your fault then, please guide me to my next class?" She said with a charming smile.

Rachel nodded her head at the taller girl's question and smiled. She liked the new student, she was nice to Rachel, and didn't seem to care about social hierarchies, which was a breath of fresh air for Rachel. "What's your next class?"

Lena grinned gratefully as she showed Rachel her schedule.

"Principles of Science is close to my next class, Spanish. They keep electives close to each other." Rachel said. "I will gladly walk you there."

Lena put her arm around Rachel's shoulder. "We're going to be such good friends, Rachel."

Rachel blushed at the touch, but she smiled at Lena's statement. It was nice to hear things like that from people other than her diva counterparts. The only other time people complimented her was when they needed something from her. It was a nice change for once.

Her smile faded and instantly the happiness she felt was gone in a flash when red, ice cold liquid hit Rachel in the face, along with her new friend. Rachel had seen the two jocks walking towards them with two slushie cups and tried to fully protect Lena, but being shorter than the new girl, it still got to her.

"Welcome to Lima! Love, Santana." Azimio and Karofsky cackled as they threw their empty styrofoam cups in the trash.

Lena was frozen by the whole thing, she'd never been hit by a slushie before, granted Rachel had taken most of the hit but Lena was still shocked at how immature the school acted. There was laughter and stares of pity, Lena stared at them incredulously.

No one bothered to help.

She shook off her shock and hurried in front of the diva, who had her eyes tightly shut. "R-Rachel? Are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine, Lena...would you kindly lead me to the nearest restroom?" Lena was surprised at how calm the shorter brunette seemed to be.

"O-Oh...um of course." She gently grabbed Rachel's arm with one hand and the other hand on her back to guide the smaller girl.

After slipping inside the nearest restroom, Lena immediately started to grab a few paper towels and wetting them. She approached the smaller girl who still had her eyes shut and started to dab her face, wiping her eyes first so that Rachel could finally open her eyes.

"Rachel?"

"Yes?" The smaller girl responded timidly.

"Does this happen often?" Lena asked, a bubble of anger surging through her.

Though the girl was already pink from the impact of the icy hit, her skin turned a deeper shade of pink, and she looked down.

"Not every day...but most days." The singer admitted. "I'm sorry..."

Lena frowned. "Why are you sorry?"

"Because that slushy was because you've been talking to me." Rachel explained.

Lena's frown deepened, and she shook her head. "Rachel, this wasn't your fault."

Rachel kept her eyes down. "Yes, it is, this always happens when people try to befriend me."

Lena shoulders slumped, she threw her head back and closed her eyes letting out a sigh. She realized how deep the problem was with Santana and Quinn. She let out another sigh and looked back at the smaller girl.

She smiled gently at the girl covered in red slush, she chuckled at how kind this girl was. Rachel had jumped in front of her, although she wasn't completely saved, it warmed her heart that the small brunette at the very least had tried. She chuckled. "Don't worry. Although, I don't quite like the cherry flavor, I still think that the Berry underneath is quite splendid."

Rachel looked up, her eyes shining, tears ready to come out. "You still want to be my friend?"

"Yes, Rachel. I'd still really like to be your friend." Lena said with a soft smile, wiping the shorter girl's cheek some more.

The door burst open to reveal two frantic and worried people. "Rachel! We've been looking for you!" A curvy girl exclaimed.

"We heard about what happened and immediately got your slushie kit, and also I've got your emergency change of clothes." The feminine boy said frantically.

Lena smirked as she backed up, letting out an amused chuckle at Rachel's friends' worry.

The two divas looked up at the source of the sound and realized there was a fourth body in the restroom. "Oh, hello there." The male of the room started with a raised eyebrow.

Lena grinned and gave a slight nod. "Hello."

"Oh! You must be the new girl." The curvy girl smiled, but her smile immediately faltered as she realized that the girl's clothes were also ruined.

Lena noticed the change of expression and looked down at her outfit. "Oh...um it's alright, I just got a bit of cherry on my shirt, and on my face, but I don't think I'll need emergency clothes as well."

"Are you sure?" The feminine boy asked.

"Maybe a bit of washing up on my face and I'll be good as new." Lena smiled in assurance. "I'm Lena Luthor, by the way."

"Kurt Hummel, resident fashionista." The feminine boy said with a smug smile and held out his hand.

Lena took it and gave it a friendly shake, and turned to the rich toned girl, holding her hand out as well.

"Mercedes Jones, nice to meet you." The curvy girl took the hand and smiled at the new girl.

"I see why Rachel gets along with you two." Lena said with a smirk.

Mercedes raised an eyebrow at this. "And why is that?"

"You two are as fantastic as she is." Lena said with a smile.

"I like her." Kurt turned to Rachel.

Rachel giggled and nodded. "Me too."

"Let's keep her." Mercedes added in with a smirk.

It was Lena's turn to raise an eyebrow, causing Rachel to giggle.

"Alright, that's enough. Lena, I insist for you to come with me to the locker room so we can get cleaned up, I have a few clothes that might fit you." Rachel said with a pointed look.

Lena chuckled and nodded. "Alright."

"Kurt, Mercedes…Thank you." Rachel said smiling softly to the two who smiled back just as softly.

While Rachel showered, Lena washed her face and changed into a shirt that Rachel was able to find in her emergency clothes. Lena waited on the bench and turned away from the shower to give Rachel some privacy to change.

Rachel smiled when she came out of the shower to find the taller brunette girl facing away from her. She was kind enough to stick with Rachel even if she was slushied on her first day.

She quickly changed, they were already late, Rachel knew there was only fifteen minutes left in their sixth period class. She sat next to the taller girl. "I'm sorry."

Lena finally turned to the girl, turning her body as well. "For?"

"Making you miss class." Rachel said.

Lena chuckled and shook her head. "It's alright, I'll just tell the teacher that I got lost tomorrow."

An awkward silence enveloped them. Lena not knowing how to approach the subject and Rachel not knowing what else to say to the new girl.

"Sh—"

"The—"

Rachel gestured for the other to go first. "You go first."

Lena smiled. "There's thing club I found out about today, Glee Club, I think. Do you know how I can audition?"

Rachel's eyes widened. "You can sing?"

Lena chuckled at the girl's reaction and nodded. "A bit...how do I audition?"

Rachel's eyes beamed with joy as she grinned. "We can stop by Mr. Schue's class and tell him you want to audition. I'm actually the captain of Glee club, we're called New Directions. Oh my! This is just wonderful! Kurt and Mercedes are in the club too and—"

Lena gave her an amused look.

"I'm rambling too much aren't I?" Rachel blushed shyly.

Lena giggled and shook her head. "It's okay, I for one think it's utterly adorable."

Lena stood up and held out her arm. "Let's go see Mr. Schue?"

Rachel grinned and linked arms with Lena and walked out of the locker room while the bell rang.

Angry hazel eyes and dark brown eyes followed the two brunettes leaving the locker room together. Their eyes emitting lasers as they zeroed in on the linked arms.

Lena had looked behind her and spotted the two cheerleaders, smirking at them knowingly.

"I hate her."

"I'm going to end her."

The two cheerleaders said at the same time.
