Nurses seemingly run from all sides as they rush into Molly's hospital room, two rolling a crash cart. They quickly begin chest compressions and try to stabilize her. When that fails, they resort to having to use the paddles.
"Clear!", a doctor shouts, before he zaps Molly's heart. Her heart rhythm continues to decline, and all John can do is stare on, frozen. They paddle her three more times before deciding to give up.
Before John can scream at them to keep trying, her heart monitor suddenly stabilizes into a normal rhythm and they gasp but sigh in relief. The extra nurses leave with the cart, and one stays to check her vitals.
John heads back across the hall to Sherlock's room and Mycroft is standing at the door, looking concerned; whether it is actually for Molly, or for Sherlock when he wakes up, was anyone's guess.
"What happened?", he questions.
"She went into cardiac arrest as predicted, but luckily they were able to get her back and stabilize her."
"Okay, well...that's good."
He nods and sighs, rubbing his face. "I should probably get home to Rosie and Caroline."
"Oh right, yes, the child and the girlfriend."
"Yeah, my daughter", John replies, giving him a look. "Anyway, I'll visit again tomorrow after work. Let me know if anything happens with either of them hm?"
Mycroft nods and resumes his seat next to Sherlock's bedside as John takes his leave.

Opening the door to his home, John takes a breath to put all the stress away and to be present for Rosie and Caroline. He can hear Rosie squeal from the kitchen, followed by the pitter petter of her small feet over to the front door where he was hanging up his coat.
"Daddy!"
"Hey sweetheart!", he chirps happily, scooping her into his arms and cuddling her. Caroline comes out from the kitchen, a dishrag in her hands and she smiles her lovely smile which immediately makes him feel calmer, as it always does. She has been an utter blessing and the best stepmother Rosie could have ever had.
"Hello to you too", she grins and leans in, pecking him on the lips.
John puts Rosie down so she can play; she had just finished dinner.
"So how are they doing?", Caroline asks softly, wrapping her arms around her weary husband.
"Still comatose, unfortunately. Molly went into cardiac arrest earlier but thank God they were able to stabilize her." He sighs heavily. "I don't know if they will make it through this time.
"Health-wise, or relationship-wise? I know you told me earlier on the phone that they had been having a nasty domestic."
"Either. If they wake up, I don't know if they'll stay together. Molly may have her problems, but Sherlock is not an easy guy to be around all the time. I know they love each other, but unfortunately, sometimes love isn't enough to save someone from themselves", he whispers.
Caroline looks at him empathetically, knowing he is referencing Mary's manner of death. "I'm sorry, love."
"Me too. Everything is always just so...dire. Why can't things just settle down for a while? You know I love an adrenaline rush as much as the next guy, but it's wearing me down after all these years. I'm getting older. We both are."
She nods shyly and nuzzles his chest. "I don't think we will be able to stay calm and settled for long."
John looks down at her incredulously. "Why not?"
Biting her lip she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a capped pregnancy test. "Um...well, this would be why."
Taking it from her hand, John gapes at the bright pink plus in the center. "A-Are you—"
"Sure? Yes." She takes out a second one with the word 'pregnant' clearly written out.
"Oh my God."
"I know", she takes a deep breath. "What are you thinking?", she says softly.
Looking up at her he places it on the side table and cups her face, kissing her lovingly. "I think that you are already an amazing mother and will continue to be to this one. Care, I didn't think...I didn't imagine..."
"I know we are older, and it's risky. I don't want to tell anyone yet; in case something happens. But I like to hope and be thrilled for the moment", she beams. "You know I've always wanted a baby and we realized my late husband was dying by the time we decided to try...he didn't want to be selfish, leaving me with a baby on my own. We had gotten married, and obviously, when we found out the cause of his issues, it was already too late. He knew he was dying in a matter of months", says solemnly. "So I decided he was right and to enjoy the time I had with him. For that, I'll always be grateful, and I know it was the right choice. Now, I get to love you and Rosie, and my dream is coming true. I know in my heart that both of them are happy for us, from beyond."
John peppers her with kisses and sways. "I'm thrilled too. I love you."
"Love you too", she beams.

Nightfall comes and the hospital is quiet aside from all of the nurses rushing around in the halls checking on patients.
Molly's room is currently completely empty, shadows eerily casting across her room from the moonlight pouring through the large hospital windows. The machinery beeps steadily as it monitors her heart, Sherlock's doing the same for him.
Suddenly, both Molly and Sherlock's bodies lurch, back arching as they let out a strangled gasp. Electricity shoot through their bodies and the machines they are attached to. It lights up their veins, and travels down the machinery, their electric pulses meeting between rooms to collide. The collision causes their irises to fill with the hot-blue color of the electricity running through their veins, connecting one another together in ways they could never imagine in any lifetime.
With the connection sealed in their brains, it quickly winds around their hearts as well, making the monitors go wild until they explode, turning the hospital into a black-out.
