Disclaimer: This story is trash and is my love letter to the BakuDeku fans.

Bakugou woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. He checked his phone to look at the date. It was Valentine's Day. He was excited as this was the day he would confess to Deku, his long time crush. He still reminisced the days in the past of their sweet moments together.

The Past...

"DEKU!" Bakugou stomped at his long time crush before punching him straight in the abdomen. Izuku managed to get a higher score than him in their math test. Bakugou didn't know any other way to congratulate him. "Don't even think for a second that you're better than me! Remember, I'm better than you, you worthless piece of trash."

He didn't stop there. Once Izuku was on his knees, Bakugou kicked him in the face, and left him crying. "You're nothing. You will never be worth anything."

As soon as he walked away, Bakugou thought to himself, "I love you, Deku."

This was the everyday life for them. Some might even call it a tsundere-esque type of love. Bakugou continually beats Izuku because he couldn't honestly express his feelings for him. He, the great Bakugou, was afraid of rejection. Eventually, in their final year of middle school, it was said the Izuku was also attending UA. Bakugou was excited. They could be together in the same school. All he had to do was... was... he could not do it.

"Take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a better quirk in your next life."

The Present...

"Dammit. Dammit dammit dammit." Bakugou shook his head and stood up from his bed. The past is the past. He'll try again this time. He took a shower and got into his casual clothes. A black shirt with a skull pattern, and some black shorts. He went downstairs to see the couples spending their time together on this holiday. "Disgusting."

He eyed Awase and Yaoyorozu coming back from their dates. They got in with Yui and some weird guy with the katana from Shiketsu. He looked at every couple jealously. He was waiting for Izuku. The door finally opened, revealing his crush with a box in the shape of a heart. "Chocolates? Probably for that round-faced bitch. What has she ever done to make him like her so much? I was incredibly nice to him! Deku is mine."

To his surprise, Uraraka only nodded at Izuku while giving him a knowing glance. With a deep breath, Izuku faced Bakugou and started walking towards him. He stopped just in front of him and stretched his hand, offering the box to Bakugou. "Deku, I..."

"Happy Valentine's, Kacchan!" Izuku was still holding the box of what is presumably chocolates. "I... I'm giving you a gift you deserve, from the bottom of my heart!"

"I-I..." Bakugou was in disbelief. It was supposed to be him confessing, not the other way around! He... "This is your chance, Bakugou. Just tell him you love him! Stop being a tsundere already. Just say the wo-"

Bakugou punched Izuku, to the shock of everyone. He took the box from him, and said "No one will ever love you, you piece of shit Deku."

Before anyone could react, Bakugou already ran upstairs with the heart-shaped box. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I love you."

Once he got into his room, he set the box down on his desk. He regretted the moment he punched Izuku. "Why? Why can't I just tell him? No... Why can't he just see that I like him? Why?! WHY!? It's his fault!"

Bakugou hesitated to touch the box. Even when people were already knocking at his door, he ignored them, only staring at the unusually heavy heart-shaped box of chocolates. He only assumed that Izuku filled it to the brim with chocolates. An hour passed, and his curiosity eventually got the better of him. He slowly unwrapped the ribbon of the heart-shaped box of chocolates. In a moment of excitement and anticipation, he slowly opened it. What he found was odd. At first, he saw a part resembling a digital clock, ticking down. A hook fell down as he fully opened the box. It wasn't chocolate, but it seems to be a pipe with a timer.

Bakugou's eyes widened when he realized what it was. He could only shout one thing.

"WHAT THE FU-"

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM

Moral of the story: The chances of an abuse victim gifting their abuser a homemade bomb in disguise of a Valentine's Day gift is low but never a zero.
