Melissa Moyer: "Does this mean they could use the potion again and have more kids in the future?"

Tommo: Yes, they can have more babies in the future, but I'm not sure if they will yet. Maybe some time;)

Chapter 15

Quiet Nest

Just as Alice predicted, the girls were beyond excited at the opportunity to go to Hogwarts. The whole family was planning to move to the UK now. There was a lot of packing involved, especially in Rose's and Alice's wardrobes. We had a shopping trip to the wizarding world for the whole family. Alice gave me an all-knowing look when she took out the wizarding robes for all of us that she made me buy more than two decades ago.

"You couldn't possibly know back then that we would need those." I rolled my eyes.

"Maybe not the reason why we needed them, but I knew there would be one in the future. How else can we fool the wizarding world into thinking all of us actually belong there?" She asked huffing. "We are a pretty big family."

"The family has grown very rapidly." I agreed with her and remembered the times when it was just Carlisle and me. Those times seemed to lack so much fun and the thrill to see the sunrise every day.

Since we were already on the move, the family decided it would be best to go into the bigger wizarding world community, so we headed to New York. The last time Carlisle and I were in NYC was over a century ago, so we didn't have anything to worry about. My short trip to NYC during my Grimm times didn't worry me either, no one has ever seen my face those days.

We stayed at a small hotel right outside of the city, waiting for a cloudy day. The girls were eager to look around, but they were too young to do that by themselves. They stayed in the hotel with us, asking questions about the castle and their future professors. I noticed that all my siblings as well as Carlisle and Esme were eagerly listening to what I was saying too. I hoped there would be a way for them to visit the castle sometime, it was truly a magnificent piece of architecture. And judging by their reactions to magical pictures, they would be even more shocked to see the portraits in the castle talk and move from one frame to another.

We were finally able to enter the wizarding world on the 28th of August, leaving us only a few days to travel to England and settle into the new place before we would have to say goodbye to the girls at the King's Cross Station.

Emmett and Jasper looked especially ridiculous in wizarding robes. They were both wearing plain black ones. I couldn't help myself but think they looked more like Volturi guards than wizards. Their bulk figures and the fact that they wore both taller than any average person didn't help either. Alice, however, looked like she was born to be a part of a wizarding family, her deep purple robe and a pointy hat of the same color made her look even more pixie like, if that was even possible. Rose's was emerald green and made her look even more like a high-fashion model about to run the podium. Carlisle and Esme had both been wearing silverish cloaks, representing that they were the head of the family. Edward's and mine were deep blue, his favorite color. Seeing myself in the mirror while wearing a typical wizarding attire made me feel both strange and joyful. I missed the feel of the cloaks but at the same time, I haven't worn them much even in my human life. Dad and I lived in the muggle world; cloaks are considered strange there.

"Mom, will we get our own cloaks?" Nessie asked me in her high-pitched voice. I nodded silently and saw her beam. "I want one just like yours."

"Well, the school rules require you to get a plain black one."

"Auntie Alice." Nessie ran forward to grab the attention of the pixie.

"Of course, we'll get you other colors for out of classes!" Alice squeaked at my daughter and turned her head around to show me her tongue. I didn't know where Nessie got it from, neither I nor Edward liked shopping, but our daughter…I felt grateful that Alice was there for her.

We walked into the 'Wandweiser' pub on the outskirts of Manhattan. It didn't have the garbage smell anymore, although it still looked very rusty and older than any other building on the street. Edward opened the door and held it until we were all inside. It was loud, especially for a Monday afternoon. There were people sitting at the bar table, around all the tables. It was packed.

"Can I help you, folks?" The woman screamed from the bar area.

"We are passing through!" Edward screamed back. Our clothes spoke the password themselves. It was obvious that we weren't regular humans.

"That time of the year, huh?" She smiled at the girls and pointed to the back door.

All ten of us carefully maneuvered our ways around other people and got to a small backyard. I gasped in shock, it looked like an exact replica of Leaky Cauldron's backyard. I took out my wand and tapped on four bricks, wondering if the combination would be the same too. I was surprised at my memory, most of my human ones have disappeared a long time ago. Exceptions were those that I constantly thought about. I giggled in my victory when the brick wall started moving around, allowing us to see the wizarding alley.

I heard two high-pitched gasps behind me and turned around to see my girls' faces. They looked so excited; I couldn't help but smile.

The alley was even busier than the pub, with school starting so soon, it wasn't shocking. I took Savi's and Nessie's hands in mine and told them to stay close. Carlisle and Esme left us to go to the bank to exchange some money. With two school shopping lists, we'll definitely need more than we had in my leather pouch. When we reached the bookstore, I saw Jasper disappearing into the history section. I took two shopping cauldrons from the stand and handed them to each of my daughters with their shopping lists.

"I'm giving you thirty minutes to grab everything you need. You are both allowed to pick extra two books that you like." I spoke to them. They both giggled, took each other's hands, and ran into the store.

"I'll be right back, guys!" Emmett spoke loudly. I noticed a few people stopped talking to look at him.

"I'm so glad you remembered that we asked you to not do anything that would bring attention to us," I spoke quietly as he passed Edward and me.

"Ah…love you too, Bells!" Emmett chuckled; I rolled my eyes.

After the girls came back with their cauldrons, we paid for all of the books, and I looked at their own selections. I shook my head when I saw 'Quidditch through ages' in Nessie's cauldron. I guessed; I would have to get used to my baby girl on the broom. Her second book of choice, however, was a strange one. I looked at her curiously, "British Family trees?"

"That's Savi's" Nessie spoke. "I only wanted the Quidditch one."

"Why are you interested in that?" I asked Savannah.

"Our family trees are there, the history of generations." She replied enthusiastically.

"Okay, my little historian, my little Quidditch player." Edward put his hands on their shoulder. "Uncle Emmett got a surprise for you."

I looked at Edward suspiciously. What could he get them? I clearly explained to him that they're not allowed to have brooms during their first year. Edward smiled at me, assuring me that Emmett's gift was appropriate and all of us left the bookstore. Emmett was standing outside, holding two medium-sized owls on his shoulders.

"Check it out!" Emmett's laugh was very loud, and the girls gasped running down to him.

"That's Lightening." He pointed to the grey Eagle-owl on his right shoulder. "That one is yours, so you write to me if anyone ever touches you." Emmett's face took a serious turn on the last words.

"And write to me and mom. Every day." My husband spoke from my right.

"And that's Thunder. He'll stay with us, so we can write to you whenever we want." He pointed to his left shoulder where a beautiful light brown Barn-owl sat.

"Those are great gifts, Em. Thanks." I spoke. "You know we would be fine with just having one owl, right?" I smirked.

"Well, Bella, you must hide from the wizarding world of England. I don't have the need for that. Who knows? Maybe I'll find a cool wizard friend and I would want to chat with them."

"If you wish." I raised my hand in defeat.

"Besides, now you can rightfully call me a God." He smiled victoriously. I gave him a confused look and then heard Edward laugh.

"He owns Thunder and Lightning now." My husband explained Emmett's logic.

"C'mon Son of Odin, we need to find some school robes." I chuckled.

We went to pick up girls' robes after that. After telling the shopping assistant that the girls were going to Hogwarts, not Ilvermony, she led us further into the store where she had a few plain black school robes. Alice stopped her when she was about to tailor it to the girls' sizes, my sister wanted to do it herself. We picked up a few of the black robes, knowing that the girls grow much faster than the regular kids.

Carlisle and Esme met us in the store, which I was glad about. My leather pouch was steadily becoming lighter and lighter. We have also gotten two standard-size cauldrons, two telescopes, two sets of crystal phials, and 2 sets of brass scales that were mentioned in the second part of the acceptance letter. The only thing left to do was get wands. I wanted to delay that one so that the whole family could witness that special moment for the girls.

We came into the wand shop, where an old man stood behind isles of different wand boxes. He greeted all of us with a surprised smile.

"Such a big family." I heard him whisper.

"Hello, we are sending our girls to Hogwarts this fall. They need their wands." I smiled a teethless smile.

"Of course! Twins, if I'm not mistaken?" He asked.

"That's right, sir," Savannah replied.

"Okay, let's see what I have here." He hurried towards the back. "So interesting! Twins! I better find…" The man was quietly mumbling under his nose.

I noticed Jasper and Emmett were holding themselves from giggling.

"Ah! Yes, that should do the trick." The man announced to himself and returned to us holding two boxes out for the girls.

I nudged them over and they both took the wands out of their holsters. While Savi's one didn't react at all to her touch, Nessie's went flying out of her hands immediately.

"Definitely not, then." The man quickly took the wands back and went looking again.

The second choice wasn't right either. The third time the shop owner came back and gave the girls' other wands to try, we noticed a light coming from Nessie's wand, while Savi's made some papers on the desk fly in different directions.

"Interesting. Completely different natures, two different characters…Hmmm." The man only took Savi's wand back. He came back a few minutes later. This time, we saw Savi's wand shine in her hand as well.

"Your wand, child," the shop owner spoke to Vanessa. "11-inch, dogwood with dragon core. I have found that matching a dogwood wand with its ideal owner is always entertaining. Dogwood wands are quirky and mischievous; they have playful natures and insist upon partners who can provide them with scope for excitement and fun. Dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells."

"Little firecracker, you are." Emmett laughed and messed with her hair. I smiled at that interaction.

"Your wand, full opposite, child." He was speaking to Savannah now. "12-inch, hazel with a Rougarou hair core. A sensitive wand, hazel often reflects its owner's emotional state and works best for a master who understands and can manage their own feelings. Rougarou hair is very rare, but I found it to be rather good at protective spells and Transfiguration. It was rumored to have an affinity for Dark magic, like vampires to blood, but I don't believe those rumors." I twitched a little when he talked about vampires.

"Rougarou hairs? I've never heard of anyone using those." I spoke to the shop owner.

"This wand was made a long time ago; my grandmother Violetta Beauvais hid that she was using that kind of core for a long time."

I was a little concerned, Rougarous were a type of werewolves from France. They were famous for murdering vampires; they were able to turn without the full moon and acted as though they were animals even in their human form. They were the first werewolves and were feared by not only regular British werewolves but also by the Volturi. Having a wand with that kind of core choose my daughter, I was a little frightened.

"Little…protector, you are." Emmett seemed to finally find a word to call Savi. He repeated the same motion with her hair as he did with Nessie's.

"Well, who is ready for some butterbeer and ice cream?" Edward lightened up the mood.

The girls shouted "Me!" and ran outside. We all followed them as they were running to the ice cream cart.

In two days, we were finally settling in our house. It was bigger than any of our previous ones, I wondered how much money it cost the family. It was a whole mansion, with too many rooms and hallways. Emmett's laugh echoed on the bare walls and I was realizing just how incredibly hard it would be to live in a house so big with a grown-up Emmett who acted younger than my daughters at some times.

We were staying in a small town, right at the border of Scotland and England. It was far enough from any of my and Edward's family members and closer to Hogwarts. The owls hooted loudly outside in the trees. Emmett insisted that he should be called 'God' again with all seriousness. I told him that it scared me that people like him are allowed to vote.

We spent the evening of August 31st playing some family board games. While the girls slept, I made sure they had everything they needed in their trunks and that Thunder has some food and water in his cage.

"Can you believe it? We won't see them for months starting tomorrow?" Rose asked, taking a seat right next to me on the couch.

"I don't want this night to end." I sighed. "They are grown up now, going to school, having friends…I don't even want to think about boyfriends." I brushed my eyes with my fingers.

"No boyfriends until they are at least 16," Edward spoke from the other side of the couch.

"Hypocrite." I laughed at him and pushed his knee.

"Hey, I still don't understand how your dad was so okay with me, letting me stay in your room while I visited and everything else." Edward shook his head. "I was a horny teenager for Merlin's sake."

I heard the whole family laugh out loud at his last comment.

"Well, your dad was also fine with us sleeping in the same room," I mentioned.

"I wasn't his little angel. You know dads don't care about their son being intimate with someone."

"True that." Emmett nodded. "My old man had a talk with me when I was 11, I didn't stay long enough to hear him tell my sister anything and she was 15 when I left."

"It's harder to raise a girl because it's a completely different responsibility. When you have a son, you want him to become this grown man. Dads don't want their girls to become grown women. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would be worried if we had a boy too. But not even twice as much as for our girls. And that's exactly because I was a horny teenage boy myself once." He spoke. "There are just a lot more bad things that can happen to the girls than boys."

I saw his point now. Having come to think about why Esme and Rose were vampires now and about whatever happened to Alice that made her forget her human life.

"Honey, I'm sure that even if someone will try, they won't let that happen. Savi has her shield that she can protect both of them with, besides they're very strong and fast, and their skin is nearly as strong as ours." I tried calming him. "I'm not saying we shouldn't worry. This would be an impossible thing to do, but we do need to understand that they can protect themselves if they need to. They are both smart and strong enough to give some boy hell."

The next morning the whole family went to the King's Cross Station. I put my old veil on to cover my face from other parents and their kids. Edward let Alice put a lot of makeup on his skin to change his appearance a little. He also covered all his bronze hair under a hat and tried not to look up too much.

"You'll have to go straight through the barrier. If you feel scared, you can run through it." I instructed the girls.

This was a much better instruction than my dad gave me. I chuckled in my head. My father gave me a pat on my shoulder and just pushed me through it. It was probably for the best though. Knowing how clumsy I was, I would have definitely tripped if I started running towards it with my trunk.

I saw Nessie run first and she disappeared through the barrier, Savi followed her. Emmett looked too excited when he stepped right before the barrier. I really hoped that our family would be able to go through it, after all, it allowed all magical things to pass. Vampires were magical creatures, dark ones, but still…

I closed my eyes when Emmett started running at a human pace towards the barrier, hoping I wouldn't have to hear him breaking the barrier with his vampire strength.

"It's good, you can open your eyes now." Edward chuckled. I sighed in relief.

We all went through the barrier one by one and soon the whole family was standing on the platform 9 ¾. A large red train was whistling, so many kids and their parents were standing in the station.

"It feels so great to be back here again.' Edward eyed the station. I squeezed his hand in mine. It felt nice for me too.

Carlisle and Jasper took the trunks and got them into the train. Lightning was in the cage on top of one of the trunks. I looked at the girls and crouched, so we could be on the same level.

"If anything goes wrong…" I started.

"Tell Professor Dumbledore and write you." Savi finished it.

"We'll be fine, mom" Nessie spoke now.

"Remember that no one can know you two are half vampires," I whispered to them.

"No using of our gifts, jumping high in the air, or drinking blood, we know." Savi rolled her eyes.

"Savannah, no rolling your eyes at your mother." I scolded her smiling.

"I wonder where she gets it from?" I hear Rose whisper and shake my head.

"Oh, you sure you want this?" I asked one last time. They both nodded silently. "I'll miss you so much!"

I hugged them both at the same time and stood up.

"We'll miss you too."

There was a lot of hugging before the girls ran up to the train and climbed inside. They took their dad's advice of finding themselves a cabin before all of them were taken. My attention switched when I heard something. That name, Padfoot. I looked around to see where it was coming from. About a dozen feet away a group of four boys stood next to each other.

One of the boys was short and plump with blond hair and buck teeth. Pettigrew. The second boy looked a little ragged with a healed scar across his face and dirty blond hair. Uncle Remus. The third boy had messy brown hair and glasses. Uncle James. The last boy's hair was longer than the others, reaching his shoulders and slightly covering his grey eyes. Dad…That was dad and all his best friends. I knew there would be a significant chance that I would see them here, but I wasn't prepared.

"My dad is standing right over there," I spoke to everyone and lightly pointed my head in his direction. "The one with long black hair."

"That's amazing that you get to see him when he is still so young." Esme gave me a half hug. "Do you see yours, Edward?"

"Yeah, he and mom are standing a little further away from Sirius." Edward smiled at me.

I looked to see if I could find Amos. I was interested to see Edward's mom too; I've only looked at her in the pictures. She died very young. She was beautiful. Edward definitely got his hair from her. The same bronze. Amos looked a lot skinnier. I saw him wink at Vanessa.

"Are they going to start dating this year?" I asked him.

"I think so." He looked amused. "I don't remember her at all. I'm glad we're here."

Edward put his hand on my shoulders and pushed me closer to him. I put my head on his chest and sighed. I could see my dad for another few years, even if it's from so far away. I was happy about it.

"Mom! Dad!" the girls creamed from the window and Edward turned both of us around to see where their voices were coming from.

"They are saying they won't scream." Edward started talking for them. "Too embarrassing."

"We are your family, that's our job to embarrass you." Jasper didn't scream but talked loud enough so that the girls could still hear him from the distance.

"They are saying that they love us and will write us tonight."

"And tomorrow." I raised my voice a little.

"And the day after tomorrow and every day after that." Edward laughed.

"Savi." I shook my head.

When the train started moving, I tried my best not to race after it. I felt the tears come to my eyes and I hugged Edward. I heard a few people sob at the station with me. Jasper ushered us to go, there was too much sadness now for him to handle.

When we arrived back at the house, I decided to occupy myself with something, so I wrote a request to the Ministry of Magic to connect our fireplace to the network, so we could travel to London or wherever else easier if we need to. I also decided to write a letter to Professor Dumbledore, asking if he could use his connection at the St. Mungo's hospital to get them to consider Carlisle. I knew my old man would be interested to learn how the healers work. It was a long shot since the dark creatures weren't as welcome in public places, but it was worth trying. Especially considering that none of us looked like the vampires that we learned about in school.

"Love, come downstairs! Lightning is here." I looked at the clock and was surprised to see it was close to midnight now. I guessed traveling from London back to our house and writing those letters took more time than I thought.

I rushed downstairs and sat on the couch, with the rest of the family. Edward read out loud.

"Hey everyone. This was the most amazing day ever. We swam on enchanted boats to the castle. It was enormous, bigger than anything I've ever seen! The big groundskeeper, Hagrid is actually a half-giant! Really cool! He's even bigger than you, Uncle Em. Professor McGonagall took us into the Great Hall and I'm now in Gryffindor. Hear me roooooar! Savi is in Ravenclaw. I mean the nerd she is, of course, she would go to Ravenclaw." Edward laughed, while I just shook my head. Nessie was a mixture of Edward, Alice, and Emmett. The three craziest people in my life, and now my daughter was one of them too. "We got to this huge tower, and everything is red and gold. Really pretty! I have three roommates, living with me. I'm going to write more about them in the morning, I'm soooo tired. Love you all, Ness."

"What does Savi write?" Esme smiled.

"Dear family. I miss you all terribly. Today's events were very exciting. The long train ride introduced us to some other first years, and I believe we've made connections with them. Hagrid was kind enough to help us get on the boats, which we rode to the castle. Professor McGonagall and Mr. Filch were already waiting for us to arrive. We followed them into the Great Hall and were introduced to our professors. I'm very eager to start classes! I was placed in Ravenclaw, while Ness was placed in Gryffindor. It would be weird not having her around all the time, but I've met some new people and we decided to start a book club. Isn't this exciting? I have Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions tomorrow, and I'm planning to have lunch and dinner with Ness. We are both going to explore the castle more after the classes. Although she didn't wish to visit the library with me, one of my roommates said she would come. I love every one of you very much and will write more tomorrow! -Sav." Edward finished.

"No wonder that nerd is in Ravenclaw," Emmett repeated Nessie's words, chuckled, and received two slaps on the head, from both Rose and me. "Jesus, calm down! I'm saying that lovingly!

From now on, there will be more of the HP world coming. We'll also travel a little in time! Please review!
