A lone figure sitting on the ground, over a rug, smiled fondly as he watched a beautiful scene play out in front of him. Dressed in simple clothes consisting of brown pants, a pair of black boots, and a simple white shirt with two buttons on the collar. A dark coat resting by his side as red orbs peeked through his shadow.

"I don't understand. Why waste the resources we have and share them with these worms?" A prideful voice asked as the young man hummed. A dark shadow discreetly exited the young man's shadow turning into a serpentine creature with six eyes, a pair of horns, and six wings, the size of a regular cat and resting itself on a dark coat on the young man's side.

"Well... Thank you." The young man said as he accepted a warm loaf of bread. "Sure, it puts a dent on our plan and will end up in us having to work for more gold later." Looking at the bread and into the dancing people in front of a fire, a small, yet sincere smile broke into his face.

Gentle rays of light from the fire illuminated the surrounding area, revealing the young man's tanned complexion at around 18 years old, dark hair and eyes.

"But," Gently holding the loaf of bread in his hands, he broke it evenly in half as steam danced away from the separated bread. "Food tastes better when you eat it with others." A gentle smile appeared on the man's face as he handed the other half of his bread to the creature.

Saying nothing, red eyes stared at dark orbs and into the steam escaping from the bread and into the bread itself. The creature floated into the air and held onto the bread with its wings and looked at it.

Red eyes gazed into the bread, analyzing each detail that the bread has. It was plain, homemade. Not delectable like the meals they had in those inns and taverns but it would humor the man. After all, they have traveled the lands for a couple of years now and they had eaten many a great dishes, some made by the man, some learned from others.

But this time, it was different. The times they ate were mostly just with each other. Yet this time, it was with people he knew not nor he cared not for. The only thing that mattered to the creature was his companion and itself. The people they were with did not judge him nor did they try to drive them away.

The creature's mouth parted as it pressed the loaf of bread into its mouth. Red eyes widened, its mouth chewing the loaf of bread easily without resistance. It was a simple loaf of bread but it tasted better. The creature had eaten more delicious food but this simple loaf of bread was enough to fill something inside the creature. It filled something he could no name and instead.

"Delicious... more than usual." Red eyes warmed up as the loaf of bread was devoured by the creature.

The young man beside him just hummed as he ate his own. The two companions watched the people dance and sing around the fire, smiles forming on their faces.

Sitting all alone in a dining room with a long table. A lone figure dressed in a hooded coat that hid their figure stared at the food in front of them.

This frail mortal form needed sustenance. Their original form would never have needed to devour food like these. They were strong, powerful. Crushed legions of those blasted insects that had the same form like...

Dark hair dancing in the air, dark eyes smiling warmly at the pot over the furnace containing the meal they will eat for the day. His tanned skin glistened with sweat, a testament to his effort to prevent anyone from starving. The way the creature and he would fight for the smallest and more often than not, insignificant reasons, with the creature holding back and entering a humanoid form.

The creature took a pair of beautiful silver cutlery and watched as the silver knife ran through the tender meat of the steak in front of him that would leave most men mad with hunger. The figure used their fork to pick up the piece of meat and put it in their mouth.

A steak, cooked to perfection with the use of a recipe granted to them by their old friend, the young man that became his companion, that would leave many men and women salivate and rush to eat more, and one that will fill them for days if done correctly. But that was before. The steak might have been perfectly cooked, but it was disgusting.

It was similar to the one they had before, but it was different. Something was missing and they did not know what it was. Ever since he returned with the help of the descendants of his creator and foolish pawns, there was something that was missing for them.

Yes, now they remembered. Just like every meal after his return, they remembered him. He, their friend who was always willing to help people, the man who taught them many things, and the man they taught and befriended. A testament to them that not all humans were just insects that needed to be crushed under their heel. A proof that they would have been able to interact with other insects. But not anymore, this war of theirs was for a good reason.

They would destroy the world, separate the worthy from those who are not, and kill the cancerous filth that dared take their one and only friend away from them when they did nothing wrong. They only wanted to live, travel, fight, complain, and more, with their only friend, but SHE and her precious humans took him away even after they begged her to heal him.

Not only did SHE deny them of their heartfelt request, but she also took him away from them. Denying them the chance to grant their friend a sincere funeral that would mark the spot where they would create a country to make sure that he never would be forgotten. A country they would give their life to serve, protect, and care for just like what SHE did for HER precious humans.

After their complete and total victory against the last of the insects that dared opposed them has been taken care of, they will build a new country, not only for the sake of their friend not being forgotten by history but to also make sure that the knowledge they both ha learned and shared will be passed on to those that are worthy.

Then, and only then, will they be able to rest and meet with him once again.

They would do this. They will give their life, not for honor, but for him.

They swore it after they watch as SHE took his body away.

They are the wings of despair. They are the breath of ruin. They are the fell dragon, Grima.

And after it is all said and done, they will rest and made sure that not only the name of Grima but also the name of his dearest and one and only friend, Ren Cruz will never be forgotten ever again.

Red eyes glinted dangerously as a dark miasma covered their hooded form, leaving only their eyes visible for the others to see

"Gather the soldiers. Tonight, we slay Naga."
