Marinette POV

"It's my first day, I can't be late!"

With nearly a dozen book in my hands, I couldn't stop running across the campus square. Tikki floated in my bag with me everywhere I went like always.

"Marinette, I tried to wake you up."

"I obviously slept past my alarm."

"It woke me up."

"You're easy to wake up, but I'm still going to be so late."

With Tikki's minor distraction, I hadn't been looking where I was going and bumped into someone. Falling on my ass, my books went flying as well.

"I'm sorry, I'm such a klutz."

"Here, let me help."

I gasped, I know that voice. Looking up, I saw that it was him. Adrien was here and in front of me. Helping to gather my books as I reached out for the one in front of me. Our hands touched the book together and he looked back at me.

"Marinette? Wow, it's been a long time. You're going to classes here?"

I gulped and tried hard to make a full sentence come out without fumbling over any of the words.

"Yeah, its the closest to home with all the fashion design requirements so I can go to the Internship in London."

"That's really great Marinette, I finally decided to enroll and go into law."

"Which Part?"

"I could be a lawyer or even a detective. Either way, I'm taking all the required classes too."

My phone buzzed, reminding me how late I was for class.

"I'm sorry, I have to go. I'm so late."

"Ok, maybe I'll catch you later."

Now that I have all my books, I smiled at Adrien before promptly running off again and making into class. It was hard to sneak in late, but I got the door closed as quietly as I could and took the closest seat.

By the end of the day, I was thoroughly exhausted.

"You work so hard Marinette, at least you don't have any ladybug duties tonight."

"One less thing to worry about at least."

"Hey, Marinette wait up."

I stopped and turned to see Adrien coming up to me.

"Oh, Adrien, hi."

"Glad I caught you. I thought we could catch up and hang out."

"With me? I love you, I mean I'd love to. I have to drop my stuff off at my dorm first."

"Ok, I'll walk with you."

Adrien fell in step with me as I tried to focus on walking forward. Here he is with me and it made my cheeks flush like we were back in high school all over again. Shaking my head, I had to remind myself that its been ten years, a lot can change in that time, and it meant that we both had grown up.

"Here we are, I'll just run in and be right back out."

I rushed inside and threw everything on the bed. Keeping my side purse on me with Tikki inside, I added my phone and made my way back outside. Adrien looked up and smiled.

"So, where should we go?"

"There's a bistro cafe around the corner that's still open."

"Ok."

Adrien held out his hand to me, and I blushed. He was still the love of my life and being with him would be a dream come true. I accepted his hand as he guided me along side him. We walked off campus and turned to the left. I saw the little restaurant and it made me smile.

"I take it you've been here before."

"Yeah, its the closest to campus when I need a break. It reminds me of your parents bakery sometimes."

"Now that you mention it, yeah. It does."

"Are you hungry?"

"Of course, I was almost going to skip dinner for bed."

"Going to sleep on an empty stomach? Its a good thing I stopped you."

I laughed, enjoying Adriens company as much as the way he still made me feel.

"I'm glad you did too. It's been a long time since we used to hang out."

"That's for sure. Its nice to spend time with you after so long."

"Are you saying you missed me?"

"Yeah, I...I did. You've always been a good friend."

My heart grew for Adrien. He genuinly missed me and wanted to spend time with me. This could be it, for us to finally be together. But I didn't want to push it, like Tikki says, I just need to be myself.

Adrien and I spent half the night together after leaving the cafe when it had to close at ten. We ended up staying out past one in the morning. Our conversation could only carry on after the ten years we spent apart. It was worth it.

"Well, here we are again. I guess I should say goodnight."

"I had a good time catching up with you Adrien."

"Me too, and if you're up for it I'd like to see you again."

"Sure, okay. I have classes all day tomorrow, how about wednsday?"

"I'll find you here then."

"Yeah, ok. Goodnight Adrien."

"Goodnight Marinette."
