Marinette POV
I'm deep in thought as I finish sewing my dress for class. Cat Noir was on my mind. To think about who was under the mask...could I really do this? I never thought about knowing who he was, yet now its eating away at me. Who could Cat Noir be? What would it mean for me and Adrien?
"Marinette, you might want to pay attention."
"What? Oh, ah. Thanks Tikki."
I stopped pressing on the sewing machine pedal just in time. Hanging it up on my model mannequin, I stood back and analyzed it thoroughly.
"It's beautiful Marinette."
"You think so? There's nothing you'd fix?"
"Not a thing!"
"Thanks a lot Tikki."
"Now about your Cat Noir situation, what are you going to do about that?"
"I think I've finally made my choice Tikki. Whoever he is under the mask, I know who it is regardless without realizing it. Doing this will change everything."
"There isn't anything holding you two back anymore. Besides you should go for it."
"Really?!"
Tikki all but smiled at me.
"You won't regret it Marinette."
I had done all my work for the week, and Adrien came to mind. This time I called him, and he answered. After we agreed to hang out, I put my phone in my pocket and Tikki resided in my side purse.
We met up at one of the local museums and walked around the exhibits.
"I really like this one, what do you think Marinette?"
"Yeah, I like it too."
"I'm really glad we did this."
"Me too, I like spending time with you Adrien."
"So do I, being with you...its perfect."
I blushed at his words. Adrien looked back at me as I did the same. We had been around the perimeter of the museum and it seemed there was nothing left to do.
"Adrien I..."
"I know we've been friends for a long time, but I've seen you in a whole new light. My feelings keep changing, and I think I have something more to say, I'm just not sure how."
"It's been hard for me for a long time to share my true feelings as well, and now I'm sure I can. There's a time and place for everything."
"You're right, thanks a lot Marinette."
Adrien pulled me into a hug, and I blushed again for the umptinth time. I hugged him back and it made my hear soar.
"Are you hungry? I could eat right now."
I laughed.
"Yeah, I could eat. How do you feel about sushi?"
"Sounds good to me."
Showing Adrien the way, I lead him to the best sushi bar and sat down by the rotating table.
I picked up a pair of chop sticks and reached for the food as it went by. Adrien began to do the same as he made up a full plate. We sat side by side and as we ate, we carried on a conversation and ended up taking a walk afterwards.
"Today was fun Marinette. I'm glad we have such a good time together."
"Me too. I should get going though, there's something I need to do tonight."
"I have plans tonight as well, I just hope everything works out."
"I'm sure everything will work out for the both of us. I'll see you later Adrien."
I waved bye at Adrien as I headed out and made my way back to campus. Tonight was making me nervous, more nervous than I've ever been before. Doing this was going to be life changing. Finally knowing after all this time, after Hawkmoth, with nothing to stand in our way.
"Tikki, I..."
"Marinette, be yourself. Cat Noir has always made it clear he loves you. When he sees you as you under your mask, you'll both be pleasantly surprised."
"Thank you Tikki."
A full moon came upon us tonight, it rose high in the sky as I arrived on the roof of the campus. I wanted there to be time to spend alone first. Tikki came out to float at my shoulder.
"Contemplating more Marinette?"
"I'm feeling good about this Tikki, it's different, but good too."
"You're finally following your heart."
"I am."
I watched the moon as it illuminated the view of London. The time was now. I went inside the greenhouse and transformed. Cat Noir would be here very soon. I took a seat at the edge of the window sill and waited patiently.
The small sound of a thud popped outside the greenhouse door.
"Ladybug?"
"I'm in here."
Cat Noir opened the door and closed it behind him.
"I'm glad we're finally doing this my lady."
"I'm still nervous."
"That's ok, I am too."
"Are you sure we're ready for this?"
I couldn't help to think about it, my mind keeps getting in the way of my heart.
"Ladybug, you know I've loved you. I'll still love you without your mask, no doubt. Just as I know you'll do the same."
"Ok, I trust you Kitty."
I stood looking at him carefully as we were less than a foot apart. He smiled at me and we both released our kwami.
"Spots off."
"Claws in."
The moment passed as Tikki floated at my shoulder and I recognized Plagg float up by...
"Adrien?"
"Marinette?"
