In which if there is any possible way for Percy to take the bullet for her friends she will. Also- I am taking a week long break from writing this one- I think I need it, but don't worry I have a over thirty chapters back up and it's just so that I can get over my funk- which shouldn't be too hard it usually isn't. Also, if I miss any reviews in the replies it's cause I typed this part up a good few hours before posting as I need to be able to just upload it tomorrow before I go out for the day.

Thickneck: There isn't- but to be fair, Annabeth knows. Piper would understand after the initial shock since she very closely saw how bad it was, and Jason might not understand it but he always tries to understand because he tries to please people so yeah.
Undeath9087: It doesn't help that they're in a high pressure situation and they don't have much time to process lol.
Guest: It would be shocking to hear- and yeah that was just cause it was the first I clicked on lol.
Noir Nyan: It's shocking to hear but they don't really have much time to consider it yet- but I think they all handle it fairly well after Percy's little speech.

Percy hated the feeling of Jason and Piper's horrified eyes on her, or Annabeth's pitying expression- it made her chest feel uncomfortably tight- so she probably wasn't thinking too clearly when she snapped, "So what if I did. The difference between us is that Alabaster earned every second of what I did to him." She tried to rise- Antinous stopped her- and fuck but at this point she was willing to risk the possibility of him killing her like he had Eurymachus. "And I won't pretend to feel bad." she ignored that guilt curling in the pit of her stomach, the doubt- not about killing him but about herself- about what that made her now.

"He spent years stalking and abusing me- and- and torturing me. I have the scars to prove it. So fucking what if I enjoyed turning the tables on him?" she blinked back the tears that burned her eyes, "And you want to know something else- my friends don't- have to be scared of me. Everyone else does." there was a gleam in her eyes, "Because you can be dam sure that anyone who threatens them is going to suffer-"

"She's right. And we're not going to abandon her with you guys. I'm sorry Percy- I- it was just kind of shocking hearing that-" and Percy wanted to cry with relief at Jason's words.

"Yeah." Piper's back straightened, "I remember how bad it was when he tried to kidnap you. And with your half brother."

"Yeah-" Percy winced at that particular memory, not quite as bad as what he'd done in Tartarus but still it had been a very unpleasant experience, "Yeah that was- yeah. I mean Tartarus was definitely worse but that was pretty bad too, I'm not gonna lie- stop that!" that was directed at Antinous, who's hand was flat against her belly and wandering upwards, "Or I'll stop caring that you might fucking kill me you creep."

"We trust her." Annabeth's voice was determined, but shaky and there was a look of terror in her eyes when she focused on Percy, understandable given the fact that Antinous still had an arm tight around her, "And Jason sure as Hades doesn't trust you right Jason?"

"Right." Jason nodded, glaring at Varus, "Percy might have done some bad things but you? You were a legion officer and look at you now. You were a leader of Rome."

"So were you." Varus sneered, "Loyalties change."

"And you think Percy or I belong with this crowd? A bunch of dead losers waiting for a free handout from Gaea, whining that the world owes them something?"

"Pathetic." Percy shook her head, "You're all pathetic. The world doesn't owe you shit. You have to fight and scrape and claw for what you want and that still doesn't mean you'll get it but none of you actually deserve anything."

Around the courtyard, ghosts and ghouls rose to their feet and drew weapons and Antinous snarled, gripping Percy's chin and turning her face so she was looking at him. "Watch your tongue pretty one, or I'll cut it out."

"Beware!" Piper yelled at the crowd. "Every man in this palace is your enemy. Each one will stab you in the back at the first chance!"

And Percy couldn't help but feel proud of her at the crowds reactions, they started looking around at one another suspiciously, hands moving to clench the hilts of their swords.

Then Jason's mother stepped towards him. "Dearest, be sensible. Give up your quest. Your Argo II could never make the trip to Athens. Even if it did, there's the matter of the Athena Parthenos."

"What do you mean by that?" Annabeth's eyes narrowed- and Percy couldn't blame her- after all that had happened to get the stupid statue.

"Don't feign ignorance." Beryl shot Annabeth a disdainful look, "Gaea knows about your friends- about my sons friend Reyna, about the daughter of Hades, the pathetic ex titan Calypso and that Satyr Hedge. To kill them the Earth Mother has sent her most dangerous son – the hunter who never rests. But you don't have to die."

The ghouls and ghosts closed in – two hundred of them facing Jason. And it didn't sound good- it had to be a giant sent after their friends. What Giant? Gods but she wished they could help them, even if she knew they wouldn't be able to.

Percy watched- Piper and Annabeth were ready to leap into action as soon as they could were ready, waiting for the cue to act, Annabeth was almost snarling with fury as Antinous' hands kept wandering- and Percy was having to force herself to stay calm- she could handle it. It wasn't any worse than Alabaster had done.

They had to be very careful- gods this was horrible.

"What do you want?" Jason asked his mother after a moment, "What brought you here?"

"I want life!" she cried, "Youth! Beauty! Your father could have made me immortal. He could have taken me to Olympus, but he abandoned me. You can set things right, Jason. You are my proud warrior!"

"Ugh." Percy muttered the word, though she regretted it a second later when Antinous' hand crept higher- into dangerous territory.

"I told you to be silent." Antinous whispered the word, "Or I will make you scream instead."

And okay, okay his hands were getting a bit too friendly- Percy was starting to be a bit scared.

"You're a mania." Jason's voice was firm, "A spirit of insanity. That's what you've been reduced to."

"I am all that remains." Beryl told him, her image flickering through a spectrum of colors. "Embrace me son. I'm all you have left."

Percy wished she could risk talking- wished she could call the mania out on her bullshit but- but she didn't want Antinous' hands to move any higher, it had been bad enough when Alabaster had pulled shit like this- at least he'd listened when she told him to stop while they were in the pit. Sure she'd had to give a little to keep him so sweet on her but she'd been able to stop it. Antinous wouldn't stop if she asked.

She forced herself to breath- she had to try and take him by surprise if she wanted to get out of this. She let out a frightened sounding whimper, closing her eyes, gripping at the skirt of her dress, as if she was terrified, and she slowly inched it up without Antinous noticing it- managing to slide her hand beneath the skirt to grip her dagger's hilt-it was strapped to her thigh, on the outside, luckily he'd been inching his way inwards or he might have felt it.

Then Jason's back straightened, his gaze shifting, flicking between Percy, Piper and Annabeth, "My loyalties haven't changed. My family has just expanded. I'm a child of Greece and Rome.' He looked back at his mother for the last time. "I'm no child of yours."

He made a familiar sign, three fingers thrusting out from the heart- warding off evil, and the ghost of Beryl Grace disappeared with a soft hiss, like a sigh of relief.

Of course, the moment of victory didn't last long. Antinous let out a disgusted noise, hand moving up, fingers curling around Percy's neck. "Well then. I suppose we'll just kill you."

The enemies closed in- Percy saw Annabeth and Piper instantly launching into battle, as did Jason, and Percy had her dagger out in less than a second, twisting herself hard, driving her dagger into Antinous's shoulder, he let out a shocked cry, releasing his grip on her- and Percy almost threw herself away from him.

"Ugh." she pulled a face, "I'm gonna need to spend five hours in the fucking shower after this."

And then she spotted Jason, who was vaulting onto the table after wiping out the suitors who'd surrounded him.
Percy watched as he jumped right over Antinous's head- which meant the two of them were blocking him in- and Antinous glanced between them both- his eyes widening, and Percy gave a shark-like grin, surging forward and jabbing the dagger through Antinous's throat at the same time as Jason thrust the imperial gold point of his javelin through the ghouls chest.

"You-" Antinous' voice was stunned and Percy smirked.

"Enjoy the pit you son of a bitch. I'll make sure uncle Hades sends you there, special delivery."

"It's what you deserve." Jason added, and then. "You okay Percy?"

"I'm fine." Percy twirled her dagger, spinning and stabbing one of the suitors in the chest before he could grab at her.

"Percy!" Annabeth called from across the courtyard, "Are you-"

"Can people stop asking if I'm okay?" Percy ducked a suitors sword, slicing him across the chest. "I am fine." she focused on Jason, "You feeling up to causing a bit of bad weather?"

"Now that sounds fun." and Percy grinned, reaching out for Jason's hand- and they both focused their powers, the winds picking up around them.

"Annanbeth! Piper!" Jason called quickly, "Take cover!"

And Percy watched as they dove under the tables- and the hurricane that Percy and Jason summoned was huge- Percy was sure that the others would be able to see the storm clouds gathering in the air above them- and the wind was now so fierce that it sent the ghouls around them were getting blown away, screaming as they tried to fight it.

But between Percy and Jason they didn't stand a chance- and Percy shot him a sidelong grin, and he grinned back at her.

Only once the area was clear of spirits and ghouls did Percy and Jason stop the storm, and she grinned as she turned to look at him, "Not too bad Grace."

"Not bad yourself Jackson." his smile widened, "Piper, Annabeth- we didn't blow you away did we?" And Percy glanced over her shoulder back at them, both of the girls were sprinting towards them, and they both looked incredibly relieved, "Jason! Percy, that was amazing!" Piper called out. "You guys were amazing."

"I am gonna kick your ass for scaring me like that Seaweed Brain."

That made Percy snicker, "Ah yes, our loving girlfriends-" she turned her gaze back to Jason, "You can tell I've been with Annabeth longer than you have Piper-"

"How long 'til Piper starts threatening to kick my ass?"

"Hm, at least another few days-" Percy froze, her gaze catching movement.

Someone other than Piper and Annabeth had taken cover under the table- Percy and Jason hadn't noticed him- and Percy's eyes widened in horror and she cursed in Greek, the back of her arm hitting Jason hard as she smacked him to the side.

Jason let out a stunned cry as he fell, but Percy was already moving, deflecting the blade that had been about to run the son of Jupiter through- and she could hear Annabeth and Piper screaming from behind her as Varus' gold blade swung back around and he twisted, trying to get under her guard- Percy twisted away, the palm of her free hand catching his shoulder, he staggered back before catching his balance again- and Percy could see Jason trying to push himself to his feet- only to cry out in pain when he put pressure on his wrist- and shit he must have tried to catch himself as he fell- it was probably broken based on the pain in Jason's voice- and damn it but Percy should know better than to get distracted- it was only her quick reactions that saved her life- she saw Varus lunging, she twisted quickly, instead of piercing her through the heart as he'd intended his blade pierced just a few inches higher, and instead of her chest the blade went into her shoulder- she let out a scream of pain, and she could hear Annabeth's scream, it was heart wrenching- Percy staggered backwards, yanking herself off his sword, and she was surging forward- Varus had a wide eyed surprised look, and she thrust Riptide up, straight up through his chin with all her strength- he let out a strangled pained cry as the sword pushed through bone- and then Michael Varus burst into dust and Percy's legs gave out beneath her just as Annabeth reached her, she dropped Riptide, hand flying to press against her shoulder.

"Well that's not good."
